Starting in Pinball

Got started in the hobby 10 years ago. Saw a swap sheet ad for 3 machines a Bally Supersonic, Stern Meteor and Williams Tri-Zone. The only one that worked was the Supersonic. Bought all three for $600 bucks and took them home. At the time I worked second shift maintenance so I took in the boards in the Meteor and worked on them in my free time. After rebuilding the power supply board it worked! It was a great feeling and I still enjoy fixing and repairing as much as playing. Anyway put the games in storage for about 7 years at my parents and once I got a big enough place for them they brought them back to me and I have been hooked for good this time. Currently have 5 machines and room to grow if I can convince my better half.

Welcome! I always find it amazing the deals you can sometimes find without an all out search. Get the better half playing and you'll need no convincing.

I like how you have shown patience until you had room. I don't know if I will ever gain that attribute. :)

Thanks for the kind words guys. Been lurking for around a year and hoping to be more active and help give back a little.

Nice story - a good feeling when you bring back a pin that's been DOA

Nudging pinball machines is one thing, nudging the wife takes an extra bit of skill and perseverance. Don't give up klark! ; )
