When I was a kid in the 70s my friend's family had a camper and they would occasional take me on their yearly major trip.
The family was dysfunctional to say the least. They would fight and the stress it created was palpable.
To getaway from the yelling my friend and I would go to the campground store/activity room which always had various pinball machines.
By the end of vacation I usually had a favorite game at the campground but once we left I'd quickly forget about it.
By 1979 my camping days were over. I was in high school and all that mattered was skipping school, listening to KISS records, and girls.
One day after ditching school I walked into a pizza shop and saw the pinball machine that would become the only game that mattered to me: the KISS Bally pinball machine.
Now, 40 years later, I am blessed to have the game that brings me back to 1979.

I very much know the feeling and have a similar experience! As a matter of fact, KISS got me into pinball! I have a similar read in my own story. Rock on!
