KingNine's Pinball Story

I got into pinball, along with my brother, at an early age. Sometime in the mid to late 70's my father bought us a Bally "Nip-It" for Christmas. He, and our mom, probably had no idea what they were about to start. It took many years for the full effect to kick in. We always loved pinball but didn't collect or do much untill we were in our mid to late 20's in 1992 when Addams Family came out. That is when pinball sucked us both back in. I still remember my brother coming home from a vacation with his wife raving about the greatest pinball machine he had ever played. We searched and searched our town for one. Finally we located it at a Mazio's Pizza. It was a great place to find one as we loved their pizza. We spent a lot of time their playing that machine and then subsequently finding a Twilight Zone somewhere to play. It was new and as fun as The Addam's Family was. "Wow" we thought, "Pinball is awesome again". We had a comic collection from our younger years we looked to to finance an Addam's Family. Much to my wife's dismay we spent the money we made on the comics and got the machine.

The rest is history. We spent the last 20 years buying and selling machines to work up the money to get what we wanted in our collection. It has been hard to let go of some of the titles and I wish we could have some back. Our current line up includes The Addam's Family, Twilight Zone, Elvis & AC/DC Premium. Our EM's include Gottlieb's 2001 and William's Lucky Ace while our Solid State is William's first ever full production solid state pin Hot Tip.
