All around great game. Huge Gene Wilder fan, and I grew up with this movie, so I’m definitely a little biased on theme. The rule set, flow, and all around play is amazing. This is my first JJP. No issues so far after playing it heavily for a few weeks now, but I did have some problems out of the box. The sound quality is also pretty bad imo, and there are no mixing adjustments in the software to make it better. For the price, I expected more here. I’m more of a player than collector, and I have young kids, so I recommend the SE to anyone on the fence. I don’t think the upgrades really add anything significant enough to justify the hefty $2-4k more, and I highly recommend using your savings to add a subwoofer. A relatively cheap and easy upgrade that takes this experience to a new level more than any toys/other mods can. That said, if money were no object, I’d have a CE all day...:) An underrated pin for sure. Wonka fan or not, give it a few spins and I guarantee you’ll agree!

So I’ve had this pin for about a week now and I am completely hooked. It took me a couple days to start getting the shots down, but outside of the left ramp, they are still tough! I love the flow once you get going and get in a groove though. The deeper I go in the game, the more I want to play! I also like that my kids, 6 and 4, want to, and can, play it, yet the rules are still super deep. This is the first “new” pinball that I’ve ever owned, so not sure if this is pretty common nowadays, but this is definitely a game that will take a long time and a lot of skill to beat. I grew up flipping an old ‘60s Paddock machine in my parents’ basement with regularity, and played a ton of games in the ‘80s and ‘90s. This is a different beast, but still super fun. I truly think it will hold up over time and keep my interest, and hopefully my kids’ as well. I opted for this Pro version because my last pinball (Funhouse) could become a Rudy repair clinic sometimes and I don’t really like the idea of potential dimples in the playfield and broken plastics from the mechanical T-Rex throwing the ball around. It’s awesome, don’t get me wrong, but just not something I want to have to babysit. I also think the flow is a bit better without it. I hope to eventually add some of my old ‘90s Williams faves to the game room as funds allow, but this one’s definitely a keeper, and I’m super happy I resisted the 90s remakes and bought it.
Oh yeah, even the wife likes it!

Grew up on this game. I prefer the games of the '90s, but I sure played the heck out of this as a kid. If you like EM machines, this one is worth a look. Good game for it's age.

Very addictive. Not the most complex game out there, but very fun. Should be ranked higher IMO.

Those spinning discs used to frustrate the h*ll out of me! Solid game all the way though.

One of my hands-down favorites. Great game. Not as terribly hard to beat as some, but still keeps you coming back for more. If I could only play 1 game for the rest of my life, this would be in serious contention. Even though #26 is nothing to scoff at, I don’t understand why it’s not ranked higher.

This game came out when I was still in high school. I grew up with an old EM machine (Paddock) in my parents basement, but this pin got me "re-hooked" on pinball. It's really responsible for kick-starting the '90s pinball resurgence as a whole. I love Addam's Family, Arabian Nights, Attack From Mars, and a few others from this era, but Funhouse is my hands-down favorite. What an awesome design! Everything about this machine works so well. I love that some (usually anti-clown types) are creeped out by Rudy - a perfect blend of funny and weird. Game play is tough and rewarding, keeping you coming back for more. The "puke" multiball alone makes it worth owning!
