Silverball in Santa Cruz

I looked at pinball machines with awe when I was a kid, but only ever played them a couple of times. Most of my pinball experiences were computer based ones (Littlewing). Recently I got turned onto pinball again via the proliferation of iOS pinball games I found I could get for my phone, such as Littlewing's Tristan, Gameprom's Pinball Collection, Zen Studio's Zen Pinball, A.S.K. Homework's Age of Pinballs, and best of all the new Farsight Studios Pinball Arcade. Anyway, I started going to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk to play on real tables, and I love it. I probably won't have the money to buy a pinball table for myself for a long time, but I hope it happens someday.

I too have played pinball on my wii but as you now know although it is fun nothing beats the feel and the play of the real McCoy!! The apps etc. are a good way to learn the rulesets tho. Good luck and have patience you will have a game someday!

I will say the Farsight team's mechanics/visuals are heads and tails above their competitors. The PS3 and 360 versions were amazing to play.

Glad to have you on Pinside! They have a pretty good selection of pins on the boardwalk. Hope you announce it when you do get your first pin.
