Still need some more time playing this one but so far it's fantastic! Right in line with the BK theme and story. The BK toy is just fantastic, best new toy in a game in a long time. The custom guitar music fits this theme perfect and is adrenaline producing. Really fast game! And I really love the awesome animations they've done. A little more code polish and this game holds its' own with any other out there.

This game is just an absolute blast to play. Theme integration is just fantastic and I really love Chris's artwork. The code is still a little bit early as of the time of this review so the rules aren't overly deep at the moment but it's just so fun! The wire return rails are just so cool on this and I love when the Spot monster pops up in the middle of the ramp. Just seems like an overall really well done game that makes me want to play it again. I do think you need to have a Premium or LE though. That lower playfield is just so cool.

Wow, to each his own I guess on this title. I love this unique layout especially the subway ramp shot. Just a fantastic themed game. From the floating Slimer mech to the Subway to the Scoleri Brothers this game is packed full of fun. The fact that some folks crapped on this title because of a couple minor issues early in production is really sad. The entire art package is just fantastic as are the call outs and animations. I think the only tiny knock on this game could be the scoring balance but I have high hopes that will get addressed in a future code update. This game is just a ton of fun with lastability.

Amazing game! Wow! This game just keeps me coming back time and time again. The ability to chose from so many different characters with unique rules to each is fantastic. I especially love the unique rules for when you're playing with multiple players such as stealing points or even another player's ball. The rocking pirate ship with the ability to "shoot" the ball at the other ship is really unique. The sound quality and animations are absolutely fantastic and this game is really polished in all aspects.

Being the first game from American Pinball I think they did pretty good. The geometry just feels a bit off to me and a couple shots are more than just challenging, they are more luck than anything. Code and rules are just middle of the road, nothing special. I love the backglass with the theatre and stage but the cabinet is just too plain. Just putting the name HOUDINI in big letters with some chains is a little simplistic. But most important to me is the lastability of the game and it's just not there. I don't feel the desire to come back and play this one over and over which is why I sold mine.

Super fun game. My two favorite aspects of the game are probably the artwork and the toys (mechanical action.) I love the way the ball gets launched into the toy chest and the start of multiball with Jacky shaking is super cool as the pinballs pour out of the toy box. The upper playfield with the elevator is one of the best upper playfields I've seen. It's great having to backhand the targets there and then have to have the ball run off your flipper to make the shot to the right. I'm not a huge Aerosmith fan but the songs in the game are definitely some classics and I really like the animations that were done, such a huge improvement in the fun factor over DMD games. All around a super fun game that doesn't get talked about a lot. ONE thing I would like to see better utilized is the "smart" button on the lockdown bar although Stern has been saying another code update is coming at some point so we'll see.

I'm glad I've had the chance to wait for the code to mature and get plenty of play time in on this one. I'll admit I was a little unsure of a theme centered around a cell phone and a Sim City look alike. But wow, this game is just so much fun to play and the little details in animations, rules, lighting effects, sounds, etc. It really is an all-around amazing game that is really deep with some very original new ideas integrated into it (ie. the camera and bluetooth capabilities.) The fact they incorporated so many little throwbacks to games of past is really cool too. This is game is absolutely solid in both construction and game design.

I am surprised this game isn't rated even higher than it is but I'm guessing a lot of ratings came in before the latest software updates. As far as rules go, I think this rule set is deep and fun!! Very unique. My favorite part is that Stern did a great job capturing so many of the most iconic scenes from the original trilogy. This is how you exploit the advantages of an LCD. And how can you go wrong with the original John Williams music in there? Theme is integrated especially well, you have a great mix of different shots, deep rules and challenging, and a couple of really unique and cool toys (albeit I would have liked to have seen at least one more personally). This game has really turned out great IMO after they finally got the code done.

This is unbelievable to me. Currently ranked #145 overeall?!?! The list of games currently ranked higher than GOTG are unreal. This game is frequently compared to MET as being a very similar layout. Yet, the 2 rankings are so different?? HUH?? GOTG is LOADED with the best film clips from the movie and has a TON of custom speech in it with hilarious callouts. The toys are every bit as good as MET if not better. Now that Groot mouths the words "I AM GROOT" at Groot multiball as he spits out the balls, it's awesome!! Love the Rocket kickback and the Orb lock mech as well. Rules have gotten fantastic after they were completely redone from earlier code. I can only imagine 90% of these ratings were done before the later code updates because this overall ranking is ridiculous.

Awesome game! It's unreal to me that a game like Iron Maiden is currently ranked higher. This game has real flow with an extremely unique layout and use of diverters. Not only does it have great flow, it has innovative (and molded) toys. JPop became a legend because of crazy fun games like this. If anything, I only wish the rule set were much deeper.

Twilight Zone is my all-time favorite game that won't leave my collection. I put it just slightly ahead of Monster Bash. It's hard to find something negative for me on this game. My biggest criticism is not having a ball save and the cabinet artwork is just okay, lol. Beyond that, this game was just so WOW when I first saw it many years ago and it always keeps me coming back. Lawlor really nailed it out of the park with this one and I'm yet to see this level of innovation.

One of my personal favorites that definitely has lastability. Love the toys in this game and the overall theming. There is nothing like getting to Monsters Of Rock and jamming!! Very rewarding. Just a great family pin that never gets old. The only dings I put on this game is that the overall rules are pretty shallow and the DMD animations are just okay compared to newer LCD animations and video. If this were only being compared to other older DMD's then it would be at the top. But comparing it to more modern games, this should not be number one at all.

I finally got to try a Premium this weekend and I just don't get people's blanket 10 ratings on this. Yes, a refreshingly original layout which is really nice. But no real innovation in playfield toys and basically sparse. Great, the ball moves around in circles smoothly (ooooh, flow). The animations are just silly IMO and how do you have a pin themed after a band without having things like guitars, speakers, a stage, band members, etc. Something?? Instead you get Egyptians, soldiers, Satan, and ghouls?? Okaaaay. I just don't understand how you put a game like this next to Twilight Zone or Medieval Madness and pretend it's anywhere near as fun or innovative (much less ahead of it in ratings.) Pinside ratings have officially jumped the shark.

Overall, a decent game to me. I admit I don't like the music but even more so I don't like the lack of toys (completely absent on the Pro in particular). It's definitely a unique layout which is refreshing but the game just doesn't have staying power for me personally. I'm also a bit surprised a game themed on a band has zero toys or figures of anything music related. No guitars, no big speakers, no band members, no stage, etc. Just a weird hodgepodge of Egyptians, soldiers, ghouls, Satan, etc.
