Played Iron Man for the first time at the Pinball Hall of Fame in Las Vegas...racked up a huge score... And walked away with credits in the machine...... needless to say I wasn't impressed....just another low quality pin from Stern.....

Top of my current wish list!! I still remember the day the first episode aired!!!! The theme fits perfectly with the game. Find a well tuned game and it will kick your a**! STTNG is an overall great game that new players will enjoy and seasoned vets will play "just one more time".

First of all let me start out by saying " I LOVE IT!"

I recently had the opportunity to play an original MM side by side with a MM LE Remake. Game play for the most part was identical with the exception of the new to old effect.
Comparing the original to the remake is like comparing an old restored car to a brand new car.

No matter how well the restore job was done….you just can't achieve that new car feel and smell…..

Purists will argue that the remake will never be as good as the original and I tend to agree…The remake is BETTER!!!!!

I put my money where my mouth is and purchased a MM LE Remake NIB that same day. I now own MM LE Remake #359 of 1000

For the most part I love the Show but just like the second season this game fell short...What Would Darrell Do??---He would shoot this one in the head with his crossbow and never look back.

I was just not impressed with The Hobbit. I played it along side of WOZ and its sad to say WOZ is better. Nice try JJ but "No Cigar". I predict it wont be very long and this game will drop out of the the top 100.

First pin I ever owned at the ripe old age of 22 (drug addicted ex-friend stole/sold it). Captain Fantastic will always hold a place in my heart but I cant justify buying one today and adding it to my solid state collection. Love the game for the memories.....but the game play is just so so.

Wayyyyyy underrated game! I love the six (6) multiball action. Data East haters and terrible theme (Last Action Hero Movie was a HUGE flop ) have pushed this machine's ratting below the top 100.....Easily in the top 25 in my opinion! Look past the terrible backglass and give this machine a few plays. Data East threw a lot of great things into this game. Ball moving crane, Three ball grabbing magnets, Shaker motor, Smart missile, Spinner, Police Lights topper, etc. When guests come over and are not familiar with pinball I throw them onto this machine. Watching the frantic flipper action when they achieve 6 ball multiball is a blast! LAH is in my top 3 machines in my collection...just behind Medieval Madness and Twilight Zone. This ones a keeper!!!

I've owned DE Star Wars for a couple of months…..and now that the honeymoon is over I feel I can make an honest ranking.

Data East Star Wars is an overall nice machine. My older guests (over 40) gravitate to this machine & with the new movie out the under 40 do also.

Data East nailed the theme with this one. The rotating Death Star with drop open target ( Luke's kill shot in Star Wars A New Hope ) to a spinning & jumping to the music R2D2 are well done.
The moving pop bumpers are an unexpected feature in this game. At first play they seemed "clunky" but when matched to the DMD mode of the clunky AT-AT walkers it all makes sense….Nice touch DE!!!

It seems to me that DE machines have a lot of lighting in them….probably because of the low light produced by standard bulbs and DE was looking for a punch.
For this reason DE machines really spring to life with a well thought out set of LEDs.
The strobe affect during "Shoot the death star! " for multiball with LEDs is blinding & adds both hurry up and difficulty factor to the relatively easy Death Star Shot.

I have to admit…I'm into Modding games and if you are too then Star Wars think toys….mods….Wal Mart, Kmart, Toys R Us, etc, etc, etc….

As with most Data East machines there aren’t a lot of shots in this game. Many Pinheads describe them as "One Shot Wonders" & Star Wars probably falls under this heading.
That said….I still feel that this game is a great play and well executed. Sure there are things that could be better…but isn't that true with all pinballs?

DE Star Wars is here to stay in my collection…for several reasons, One: Theme (I'm a huge SW fan), Two: It’s a fun play, Three: Lighting, Four: Sound, Fifth: Toys & Mods, and Last but not least:…Its a pinball machine! ! !

Would I own one? Yes…and I do

Overall fun game. T2 feels more like and old school pinball machine than a more modern game. The toys are more of a decoration than an actual part of the game. I like the cannon----it does have ramps----but it feels a little flat to me.

The Pros: Great theme (good movie). Cannon!!! Artwork.

The Cons: Toys feel like just props. Playfield flat and open.

The Takeaway: While having a great theme, sound and cannon....T2 has me walking away feeling that something was missing. (and I just can't put my finger on it).

Would I Buy It? Yes & I did (while I have the space for it---- it stays.....But only time will tell)

I picked up a Rocky and Bullwinkle for a song and a dance. The playfield was dirty, under cabinet lights dim and Bullwinkle's arm & Lion were broken (typical problem). Cleaned both the top & bottom of playfield, added color LEDs (surprised at sheer number of bulbs), rewired Lion solenoid from 50V to 32V and replaced Bullwinkle's arm & Lion ($9 each). Fired it up and haven't stopped laughing!! This is a fun game for all ages. My older guest (40 & up) recognize the theme and the rest (40 & down) don't but they ALL play it---a lot. The rules are fairly simple so I don't find myself having to explain what to do for very long (and yes thats a good thing). The sounds are wacky and the play is fast with good flow. The back box toy/gimmick of Bullwinkle pulling a lion, rhino or rabbit out of a hat is the best one ever used. I own several games with deep rules (MM, TZ, RBIoN, PoTC) and find the change of pace to a "Stupid Game of Pinball" refreshing & fun!! This is one of the most played games in my collection. WAY underrated game should be in the top 50!!!

The Pros: Easy rules (but not too easy). Great use of theme. Wacky sounds and music. Best ever back box toy/gimmick. Good use of DMD animations. Nice speed and flow.

The Cons: (Same as Pros) Easy rules.....Theme (I never did quite get Rocky and Bullwinkle Cartoon)....Wacky sounds and music (hearing "wrong hat" over and over and over = gun to head & pull trigger). Back box toy/gimmick problematic. Over use of DMD animation affects flow.

The Takeaway: Fun & played a lot by guests (and myself when I need a fun break). Good theme, wacky sounds and best ever back box toy/gimmick. A good addition to any size collection.

Would I Buy It: YES & I did.. You should to! (It wont ever leave my collection for the sheer "Stupid fun of it")

With a deep and unclear rule set RBION will have you doing the one more game routine. Not the best looking machine out there but a decent addition to a medium or large collection. Designed by Pat Lawlor there are things about this machine you are going to like. Produced by Sterns there are things about this machine your not going to like.

Good machine overall. The lights show is the best of any machine so far with a near perfect use of color changing LEDs. The game rules should be more clear...so the first several game plays feel more like just "hit the ball" not "aim for this"....Both upper mini playfields lack any kind of skill play.

The Pros:
One of the most iconic movie theme of all time...Who doesn't remember growing up watching The Wizard of Oz every holiday season !!
Overall very fun game for all ages.
Beautiful artwork, lighting and integration of movie clips & sound.

The Cons:
Rules are unclear/deep and take several repeated game plays to start to understand.
Upper mini playfields lack any sort of real skill.

The Takeaway:
With deep rule sets and beautiful theme WOZ is a keeper.
Game play may seem unclear at first but will keep seasond and novice players coming back for more.

Would I buy it? Yes...

Just a side note: This by far is my wifes favorite machine so I will be adding a WOZ 75th to my collection. I will update my post afterwards.

I Didn't think I was going to like this one but my wife loved it so i gave it a try.

I have to admit she was right! ( Don't let her know I said that! )

Sinking the ship is a great effect and ties to the theme very well.

Would I buy it? Yes

Defiantly in my top 5. I WILL OWN ONE SOME DAY ! ! !

Recently heard a rumor that this may be the next game to be have a remake….
If so can't wait to do a side by side comparison with the original AFM to the AFM Remake.

I just compared an original MM side by side to the remake and was blown away by the remake.
( So much so I ordered the MM LE Remake the same day.)

Defiantly in my top 5. I WILL OWN ONE SOME DAY ! ! !

Just dropped a $500.00 deposit on a Monster Bash Remake Limited Edition! I can't wait!!!! I will update my rating after placing it in my collection and the honeymoon is over. But in the meantime......every time I hunt down one of these in the wild I log a few more games on it! MB is just a fun pinball (period).

I love the idea of combining the live action of pinball with video of a video game!!! BUT sadly this game falls short.

The game tends to feel like a "one trick pony" with the over used center shot.

This game was on my wish list until I recently played it and realized the last ability of it just isn't there.

The Pros: Pinball and Video Game combined! Sequel to Attack From Mars. Good callouts and sound.

The Cons: Center shot, center shot, center shot and then…….center shot. Playfield feels small and dark. The video monitor hanging over the playfield gives a feeling of claustrophobia.

The Take Away: Revenge From Mars while being a great idea just doesn’t work.

TZ is a blast to play! I HIGHLY recommend owning one especially if you are a self proclaimed "tweaker" (aka modder). After playing TZ you'll realize what was missing from all those other games you were playing. The toys & artwork fit the theme perfectly and the callouts & voice sounds blend well. All in all one of the best games ever produced. Play one....Own one....Mod one....you can't go wrong!
