I may be biased towards this theme because I am an enormous James Bond Fan. When we saw this title coming out, we new it would be a must have inside our collection. I have owned this game for 2 weeks and I am about 80 games in so far. I had read the first reviews about this Pin and saw a few people expressing some frustration about unfinished code. I am confident that the proven industry legend George Gomez, will complete his final code properly. He will satisfy those who are unhappy with the code as it stands. George hasn’t let the average pinball hobbiest down. Let’s let him finish!
As related to the current game play. I love it. Again, this theme naturally calls me in because my love for 007 movies, but I love the shots in this game. I believe it has a fair mixture of easy shots, but also a couple challenging shots to make like the henchman ramp that has to be shot with the upper left flipper. Your timing has to be impeccable to make that shot. I also love the left orbit shot that triggers Jet Pack Multiball. With the next challenging to see if you can get the ball to drop from the Magnet. What a cool toy, and great concept for this theme! On the other end of the spectrum is the easier multiball mode for bird one multi ball. Simply hitting the 3 stand up targets which I don’t personally find to be a drainer shot. This then opens up the 3 locks for Bird one Multiball. These 3 lock shots are easy or accomplish as well. This Multiball feel similar to pounding the 3 lock shots in Godzilla building, but its not as hard to get the locks lit as Godzilla.
I believe this pin covers its basis to Satisfy the needs of players that are the best, average, or beginners as related to game play.
As related to artwork. Sean Connery was my favorite Bond. With Daniel Craig being my second favorite Bond. I like how they incorporated the Bond girls, villains, and Sean Connery throughout the game. I also love the Teal colored powder coat. I think its compliments the artwork perfectly. It’s very fitting artwork and Dot matrix animations for 1960s based movies bringing together a modern Pin. I am trying to think of something negative. At this time I struggle to write something negative. I could see if someone isn’t a James Bond fan than it may not be a title that they could get into, but pinball is kind of like that anyway. Sometimes the theme is what helps keep you coming back for more:)
