Bought in February 2007 for £80. Powerplay was living in a house in Preston, England. It was totally dead and being used as an ashtray. I drove 800 miles there and back and took it home to Scotland. I arrived home around midnight and immediately went to work on it. After restoring power to the machine it played but very sluggish. This was my introduction to SS ,machines. I downloaded every manual I could find and my knowledge gradually increased. A new MPU, rubbers and a thorough clean and polish and the machine was in great order. We played for a number of years until son-in-law broke it. Devastated was not the word! More fault finding and it turns out there was more than one fault. Anyway I decided to do a full refurb, so in January this year (2021) with Covid keeping me at home, I went to work. A new rectifier board, Solenoid board, LEDs, playfield protector, red displays, targets, plastics, bumper caps, rubbers, cabinet touched up, legs repainted and away she went. Not content I decided to add sound and now have loads of hockey themed tunes playing at various stages of the game. And just to make it the Rolls Royce of machines I added an underfield hockey rink!

That's awesome, you saved a very worthy machine, and I love your hockey rink. Bravo!
