Howie's Pinball Saga

My name is Howie and my pinball saga began in the school year of 1973-1974. As it turns out, that was my senior year in high school and I did not have to go to pre-calculus class that year except to take the exams. Since that was my last scheduled class of the day and I had lunch hour and study hour before that, I had about two and a half hours to kill before my bus ride home. The arcade about a block away was a perfect diversion and I was able to play almost every week day that whole year. There was a Jumping Jack in the arcade that was very generous with free games so I was able to play all day for a quarter and then sell my 10 free games for a dollar when I was done. College in Ann Arbor had quite a few arcades and by the time I graduated, I was a fantastic player. After that, I still played on location whenever possible. My skills have eroded some since then, but the 12 game collection I have gathered over the past 9 years still provides a lot of enjoyment. I have met quite a few friends and gone to many shows since I have started collecting. I just wish I had started collecting earlier, but better late than never.
