Sometimes you walk away and sometimes you shoot again

I think we have all been there before that is working on a new project game and never getting it done in the time .

I picked up a beautiful 1977 GTB. Team One, 1 of only 650 made cool looking wedge head with cabinet art in the same style as the Soccer and Super Soccer models before .

I felt it would look so outstanding all three pins lined up next to each other when finished yet this would not be. Team One became such a hair pulling nightmare to work on add to the fact that no game manuals were ever made for add a ball games. This pin wanted to remain in the land of Nod - forever slumber.

After three maybe four weeks with the beginning of the summer heat wave upon us in Central New Jersey - I gave up. After getting this pin up to 90% working it was time to quit.

I'm sure all of us have heard it before 'just walk away from the pin' or 'give it a few days/weeks - look at it with a new eyes?'

Well that was eight months ago and today hauled Team One back into the house and only after the first hour I found one major and two minor issues that I cant believe I overlooked. "Man why didn't I see that last year?"

So it does pay to just walk away and then when the time is right we Shoot Again or Trouble Shoot Again. -HDC
