I am an avid fisherman and met a new fishing friend by accident. Long story short, we became friends, and he re-introduced me to pinball. He has a small collection in his home. I always loved pinball as a kid, but often did not want to drop my quarters. Always had something else I needed and never had enough money. I am a physical therapist by trade, but money is still tight. I no longer worry about a quater here or there, but thousands on machines is still beyond our budget. Last winter, my friend Kevin asked if I would want a machine or 2 to try to repair and play. He gave me a few and I was worried about fixing them, but he said if they are broke now you will not break them any worse. I was able to educate myself on pinball repair and have now repaired a number of machines w/ basic issues and located people that help with more advanced issues ( MPU problems). So far I have purchased and repaired 8 or so machines and it is helping me pay for my new addiction. My children love it and we have had a constant stream of new (to us, old) machines in our home. I have repaired a few EM machines and more recent solid state machines from the 70's and 80's. I now have 3, fully repaired machines in my home and have been constantly watching for new machines to repair offered at a resonable price, been selling the machines I repair, and would also be interested in machines for trade. I am happy to be part of websites like this and meet others with the addicition I have, pinball.
