People either love or hate this machine. Many just don't get the hybrid nature of this game and dismiss it as a video game. To be honest, every casual fan and kids are attracted to this one and are blown away by the pseudo 3D images on the playfield. Who cares that the technology is 30+ years old! People still find it very unique and entertaining. Some of the funniest callouts of any pin. AFM lite would be a good description of this pin, while still retaining all the charm of the original.

Judge Dredd is a machine that challenges the notion of slow widebody pins. It plays fast (especially how quickly tthe ball drops to your flippers from the ramps) and is very challenging due to the large gap between the flippers. The animations and dark humor are very entertaining! The music can get a bit repetitive, but is not terrible. Game really shines with the deadworld mod and updated crane. It really makes the game 100 times better. Highly recommended!

Amazing game. Very immersive, excellent theme integration. When set up properly plays smooth as butter and tons of things to accomplish in a home environment. Nothing negative for me to say about this machine. Love it!

Absolutely amazing game! Love the theme, the rules are very deep, and very challenging. Probably my favorite pinball machine of all time. The only knock is the cabinet artwork, but I can live with that. George Gomez and Ray Tanzer at their best!

I did enjoy this one. Being a fan of the series, I loved the playfield and the sounds (although the Crypt Keeper can get on some people's nerves). The game flow was not as smooth as it should have been, but I still consider this one to be one of Data East's best pins.

An absolute classic. Remember playing this is middle school because all the video games were already being played. After a few minutes, I started getting surrounded by other kids wanting to play it. This was the first pinball machine I ever played and it was great for its time. While it lacks the toys/gimmicks/fireworks of newer machines, it is definitely fun. Great ramp, flow, and decent challenge. A remake of this game with newer technology/DMD would have been pretty cool.

Good while it lasts. A fun game in spurts, but there does not seem to be much to do. You'll grow tired of the cannon before you know it. The ramps, flow, and speed are what make this game rate so high. Fun on location, not so sure in a home environment.

I just have the feeling that this should have been more than what it was. Some great ideas, but poor execution. The car crunching gimmick was fun (when it worked) and some of the shots were challenging, as with many Gottliebs. However, some reliability issues, poor game flow, and horrible backglass doom this one for me. On the plus side, it is one of the cheaper DMD games out there and can be had for a good price.

Being a big fan of G'n'R, I remember playing this back in college. Pretty fun, love the acceleration feature and the ramps. It just felt like they could have done more with the theme. A good solid game, but not sure how long it would hold my ineterest.

I consider this to be one of the most underrated pins out there. The shots are challenging (as are the ramps), the layout and playfield toys are unique, and the rules are deep. The theme is very well executed and keeps with the general feel of the movie. The game is hard enough for veterans but accessible enough to newbies (mainly due to the frantic pace of multiball). If you want something different that does not copy Williams/Bally/Stern, this is a great option!
