Lost World is a fun pin! What has been a game changer for many of the early SS is the upgraded sound boards that have speech and music. The games rules are simple yet perfect, and the shots are all well placed and balanced. I rate the Early Bally SS relative to their time and I do not compare them to the modern days pins. One of the notable shots is the captive ball, when you hit the other targets in sequential order, the captive ball shot is the "Same player shoots again". I really found this a fun pin to play.

The Bally Black is both challenging and frustrating at the same time. It’s one of those pins that you either like it or hate it. My con is that there’s only one real shot that counts, and that is beating the dealers hand and hitting the saucer to advance your bonus… The pros, it’s a game of flipper skills, particularly tap passing to setup your shot…. It’s not a pin you can rip into with multiple shots, but rather setting yourself up to beat the dealer, then hitting the final skill shot… Black Jack will definitely keep you coming back for more, because low scores are common, and to get a higher score requires a great deal of setting up…. Frustrating or not, it’s definitely one of my favorites!

If you are lucky enough to own a Bally Kiss, you will need to add the Geeteoh custom sound board. Its an absolute game changer with all the cool sounds and music which are game controlled. The backglass is absolutely Rad! If your are a musician or Kiss fan, this has got to be the coolest pin ever! The game rules are just right! Cool shots throughout and having drop targets and spinners are the perfect touch... I highly recommend the 1979 Bally Kiss!

The greatest pin I have ever played to date..... I have played Godzilla Premium over 100 times and the more I play it, the more I like it. The game rules and shots are unmatched. Simply put, Godzilla Premium is absolutely amazing to play!

Eight Ball Deluxe is one of the best Bally SS from that era... Next to Flash Gordon and Xenon, Eight Ball Deluxe is super fun to play! The playfield layout is superb in all ways.. There is so much to shoot at! It has everything you want and need in a single level playfield. Not only is it challenging, Eight Ball Deluxe is one of those pins that keeps you wanting to play more and more! I highly recommend this pin to any collector or player if you are lucky enough to find one...

Xenon was a big hit when it came out 40 plus years ago, and still today, it remains a classic and amazing pin to play... The Tube shot is a never ending fun shot to hit, and having multi-ball is the icing on the cake. Also, have a the female voice of Suzanne Ciani sets this pin apart hands down! With four popbumpers, kickout hole, spinner and nicely placed drop targets, Xenon has it all! My only complaint is the playfield of Xenon is rather dark and could of used a few more playfield lights.. The easy fix is upgrading to a LED Lamp Driver Board and installing LED's to the playfield.. I highly recommend this pin!

The first time I played Mata Hari I was hooked. The playfield designed is very symmetrical and balanced. With two sets of drop targets and the kick out hole dead centered makes this a very fun game... Even though the majority of the action is in the mid upper playfield, don't be fooled as this is a fast table to play... What's also cool, MH has chimes and the sound takes you back to the vintage 70's arcade... I highly recommend MH, its a very fun challenging pin to play and keeps you wanting to play more! Which is a sign of a good pin! The more I play this pin, the more I like it...

I totally dig Night Rider! Its a really fun pin to play... It has all the quintessential playfield elements you need for challenging gameplay, IE Drop Targets, Spinners, kick whole, etc... It feels like a classic 70's EM but plays much faster and more reliable... I also dig the fact it still has chimes..... If you like the classic EM gameplay and vibe, the Bally Night Rider is the perfect SS to own. I played the EM version of NR as well, but honestly the SS version is the icing on the cake and is one of my most favorite early Bally SS to play... The backglass art captures that classic 70's Truck Driver vibe and looks absolutely amazing! Next to Eight Ball and Strikes and Spares, the Bally Night Rider is an awesome pin! Totally recommend it!

The artwork in both the backglass and playfield is absolutely charming and would look amazing in any collection. Fun game, good rules and the Target Scores when Lit in the center makes this charming game challenging. I personally really enjoyed playing this pin and although i am not a big William's EM fan, the game is very well deserving of a good to excellent rating. I like mainly like about this pin is the artwork and overall theme! If you are fortunate enough to get one, I highly recommend Teacher's Pet! Fun Fun Fun!

Flash Gordon is an awesome pin so many ways! Its one of those games that keeps you wanting to play again and again! Its fast and challenging with so many shots to take. Spinners, drop targets, roll overs, ramps and plus the upper level playfield. Although its a fast game, it also gives the skilled player a lot of options increasing your score. Hitting the right side drop targets is a great strategy and also very challenging to hit... The backglass is iconic and looks really cool! The audio sounds when you start the game is also cool... Overall, Flash Gordon is pretty awesome! Super challenging and super fun to play! I highly recommend this pin! Five Stars!!!!

One of the most underrated pins! I own both Flash Gordon and Silverball Mania, and I consider these two pins to be on the same level in all aspects! The art on Silverball is pretty awesome throughout, the backglass is beautiful as well as the playfield. Its a fast exciting game to play! The gameplay is uniquely different than all other Bally's of that era, which makes SB stand out! The game rules are simple yet challenging, the up-kick feature below the center drain is cool feature and when you rip into the center horse shoe it activates said feature. The sound is also really cool, and as you progress it builds up the intensity and starts to drone in sound affect! I totally dig this pin! It fun, challenging and exciting to play!

Come on! I cant understand some of the poor ratings on Knockout! First of all, the King of Rock "Elvis Presley" owned this pin and is displayed in his Graceland Mansion! ART: The boxing theme is cool, interestingly there are no women on the backglass, plastics or playfield. But overall the artwork is cool, especially the boxers slugging it out. The Gameplay: If set to a flatter slope rate the game can be methodical and ripping into the spinners can become easy, which maybe for some of the poor ratings. However, if you increase the slope rate similar to typical Bally game of the late 70s or 80's the game takes on a completely different feel. It becomes a faster and harder to rip into the spinners. Also i recommend high tapping the power for added punch! So in short, if you set up Knockout correctly, it becomes a very fun game to play! If Elvis owned it, you know its got to be good!

I never understood the popularity of this pin until I actually started to play it. Its layout and game design makes you want to keep playing it. The drop targets are not only fun to hit, its down right addicting on this pin. The upper playfield is also challenging to hit giving you bonus points and options to hit. An overall well balanced pin and game play gets an A plus... I highly recommend this pin to any player or collector. The art on the backglass is classic Gordon Morison!

This could have been a really cool pin with the MJ theme. After a while I found it very mundane with limited shots and all the ramp returns.

They say, "third is a charm", and boy did bally nail it! Evel Knievel is the 3rd major production Solid State Pinball machine made! 14,000 units sold and that says a lot! Super fun to play and is a well balanced game.. It has drop targets, kickout hole, 4 targets throughout, 3 perfectly positioned pop bumbers and two nice spinners to rip into! What more can you ask! I dig the fact that this 1977 made piece of art still has its chimes! Beautiful 70's Evel Knievel vibe playfield art! Awesome backglass! I played this pin as a kid and its still one of my most favorites decades later! I highly recommend this pin to any collector or player!

I gave Hurdy Gurdy three 10's and here's why! The backglass Art is absolutely beautiful and captures that Coney Island / Long Beach Pike boardwalk vibe! The playfield art is stunning! I absolutely dig the overall detail and art work on Hurdy Gurdy! The mechanical Monkey on the Backglass banging on the 5" bell is amazing to watch giving that carnival feel. The playfield is Awesome! Requiring both patience and skill. With the smaller flippers positioned around two center lanes and three bumbers, this game is addicting to play. It is my most favorite game to play ever and is well balanced with targets in just the right spots! And with the add a ball feature it is the icing on the cake! The 1966 Gottlieb Hurdy Gurdy is an absolute joy to play! Artwork is Beautiful! The Game requires patience and skill! AWESOME!

This is a simple and fun game to play. The side targets is what makes this game really fun to play. The backglass art is simple, and the playfield art being well balanced yet simple. Overall a fun game to play.

Genie is a King Size Pinball Machine full of Fun! Having all those flippers makes this game very interesting and tactically challenging. The pop bumpers are sparsely positioned for such a big playfield which slows the game down a bit. The targets are positioned all over the playfield making this game challenging. The artwork is really cool and makes one want to play this game. I would have scored this game much higher if only it had more pop-bumpers. In short, this is a fun game and with a big playfield!

Fireball is a underrated game! The playfield has just enough to make this pin a fun and complete game! Sometimes simple is all you need... This game has been on my list and usually they sell fast... What makes this game fun is the dual spinners on each side of the playfield and having a fast simple playfield you can really focus on the spinner shots! I recommend this pin if you can get it a good price! Plus the artwork is pretty cool too!

Big Brave is a cool game! It has vari target which is a plus and rewarding when you hit it dead on! The targets are placed nicely at the top left upper playfield and spaced throughout... Surprisingly with only two pop bumpers this game gives a decent amount of action... A very simple EM to play and master! I recommend this game!

The art work on the backglass is cool and is the first thing that grabs your attention. The Audio is typical Williams full of clunks and chimes... The playfield has a moving target that target shooters will dig and takes getting use to for traditional EM players, I prefer stationary targets. The middle playfield is a game in itself and is exciting, one can spend a lot of time there challenging their aiming skills... The upper playfield is also pretty cool with lots of action as well.. All in all, a very fun games and has lots of action throughout...

I first played Eight Ball when I was a kid and thought is was the coolest game ever because of the Happy Days theme. Fast forward 40 years later, I still think this game is way cool game. It plays and feels like an EM, but only faster. The left sidelane kickback is a cool feature making it a more fair game. The spinner target is always a plus. The 3 pop bumpers are positioned just right, especially when you shoot directly into the right "Bank Shot" lane. Plus the spinner target lane takes you right back to the beginning... The game can be fast to the novice player making you want to play it again and again improving your skills. To the advance skilled player it becomes a fun challenging game. I dig the early SS games and Eight Ball is surely one of the best ones! I recommend this game to any EM purest, its the perfect blend and transition EM's to SS games... AYYYY!

The 1978 Bally Strikes and Spares has one of the most hottest backglass ever! It totally captures the 70's vibe... If you own one of these you are indeed lucky! Not only is it fun to look at, it is also fun to play... The 3 pop bumpers are placed perfectly and the spinner is in the upper playfield making it a fun shot to make. The game itself is well balanced and simple yet you will be challenged at making all the shots. The kick out hole will spit the ball right at the flippers making it fun for target shots. There are many fun shots to make and this being an early solid state, you still have all the chimes along with the feel of an EM only faster.. Next to Eight Ball, this is the BEST early SS you can play! Its a fun game and keeps you wanting to play again, time after time! I highly recommend Strikes and Spares, it is my most favorite pin!

This a fun game if you are a recreational player. As for the more serious player, what makes this game different is the kickout holes next to the flippers, it takes away many of my flipper controlled shots... Others may like it, unfortunately i don't.. The other two kickout holes in the middle playfield is also a game changer... The spinner is nicely placed and fun to rip at, and the pop-bumpers are balanced. This could have been a really good game if it was not for the poorly place kickout holes...

Classic Williams EM machine... Fun to play and the chimes are pleasing to the ear... If it wasn't for the moving target the middle playfield would be completely lacking and bare... Lots of action in the upper playfield and in my opinion having 5 popbumpers in one general area does make the game less challenging... All in all, still a fun game...

Hokus Pokus is a spinner target dream pin machine! The first thing you'll notice about this game is that its really fun to play! Having three spinner targets Left, Right and Center makes this pin addicting to play and test your shooting skills! There's nothing better than hearing those targets spin racking up points! Although its an easier EM to play, both notice to advanced players will dig this game! I recommend this game!

I totally dig the artwork of this game! The backglass art has a really cool vibe and captures the Beatles craze. The playfield is less challenging compared to other EM's but that can be a plus if you just want to play and not worry about a high score. I personally like this game a lot from an artistic perspective, but from a player's view, its less challenging, but overall, its a fun to play and looks really cool.

Fast Game! Sensory Overload! I dig this Pin! Initially you may be overwhelmed with all the action and especially the sound, but after you get use to the sound its a really exciting game! Lots of ramps, flipper action and the multiball is a plus... All in all, a fun exciting game... The sound is overwhelming, but other than that, a real cool pin!

Darling has an interesting playfield, particularly the center Looping Ball Special, you have to hit the pinballs direct to score points.. I initially thought the balls would be released but they don't. The two pockets located to the sides of the flippers are also interesting.. The game play itself is very sparse and simple.. I know a lot of people rate this game poorly, however i have yet to find a pinball game i didn't like. Darling isn't a bad game, it's kinda bare and if it had a few more items in the playfield this would actually be really fun game.. I still like this game and I rate it very average.. But average is ok too...

Bally Star Trek! Having played this game countless times, I can honestly say that this is one of my most favorite early Bally SS with electric audio sounds. You can not compare this game to later 80's 90's solid state pins.. In 1979 the whole pin industry was evolving fast... What makes this game one of my favorites? Bally did an outstanding job in the playfield and gameplay strategy. The game is fast and much different than previous early Bally SS, in the feel, vibe and overall gameplay, and also it doesn't feel like an EM... The audio sound is perfect for a pin make in 1979.. Play this game a few times and you will be hooked, as an experienced player, you will totally dig this pin! The play art is amazing for its time, and the backglass art captures the Star Trek 60,s vibe.. The prototype variant blackglass is my favorite as it shows their TV series uniform colors.. I highly recommend the 1979 Bally Star Trek for both the pure enjoyment of gameplay and the overall beauty..

I rated this game high because in my opinion its one of the best EM games from the 70's. The playfield is amazing and challenging, it has a Vari Target, Spinner and Targets making this game well balanced and challenging! The more you play it the more you appreciate it. I've played many games and Outer Space is one of my most favorites. The artwork reminds me of the early 70's Marvel comic Books. Gottlieb did an amazing job on Outer Space, the playfield layout is superb! The Artwork is Top! In short, rated this game High because its challenging, its fun, and very well balanced! I highly recommend the 1972 Gottlieb Outer Space.
