Very nice game. Having played enough games to get the hang of the shots and rules, I feel that this is a game for advanced players. It plays very quick, and it has very nice flow if the shots are made well. The lightshow is incredible and very well done. The only thing is that sometimes it flickers too much, and then I'm having trouble following the balls. Both target banks are placed well, they can be hit with a bit of effort, but it's definitely not impossible to directly hit.

The mini playfield castle looks nice, albeit a bit large, but it's not like there is so much action in the lanes under the castle. The mini playfield can be used to start another multiball.

The rules are good, there are still enough things for me to discover in there. At the start you can choose out of 6 houses from the books/series. Each house has a special perk that gives you an advantage in something, but honestly, I have not noticed that so much as of yet. You can also gather gold, which can be used to buy bonuses/modes/power ups.

All in all, a great game that I would say is a keeper.

I've started to learn and play this machine for a while now, and my personal opinion of the game has certainly gone up. I still don't like the stern photoshop artwork, but the game itself is another thing entirely. The game has an amazing amount of shots, and lot's of modes/multiballs, and an incredibly deep rulesheet. There's just so much to do and see that it take's a lot of games played and skill needed to start exploring this pin to understand it. Then there's lot's of toys and gimmicks as well.

This is a great game. Another true Popadiuk game (I'm not talking about his recent endeavours). Playfield/cabinet artwork and theming are great. It takes a while to get the hang of the gameplay, and sometimes balls are over quick, but in other cases they don't seem to end, and you'll have lots of fun.

The trunk could have been used a little less, I think the gameplay revolves around it a tad too much, but I could be worse. A cool feature is the ball save in the outlanes, that uses magnets to pull the ball back in gameplay. Unfortunately they do not work with fast balls.

The tiger saw captured ball is so satisfying to hit!

Great game, I still have a blast playing it. The game is full with toys and gimicks, and the theme is incredibly well incorporated in the game. The frankenstein multiball is well thought out and can be used to stack in other monster modes. I still haven't beaten it, but I'm getting closer!

The gameplay is incredibly fast, and its not easy to always get the ball where you want. There are a lot of ramps and shots to make. Unfortunately, the rulesheet is not very large, and there is not much to do besides making combos and shots. The artwork and theming could also have been done better, but there's lots of gimmicks and references to the movie all around the playfield.

The most awesome feature in my eyes are the gunhandles on the cabinet, that can be used to control the flippers. If you really like it you can also use the normal flipper buttons, but the handles are in my opinion an awesome way to control the flippers and nudge where needed. The downside is that they get sweaty pretty fast.

I much like the look and theming of the game. The gameplay is rather hard, not something you'd recommend to a newcomer to the game. There can be lots of drains out of your control if the slings have a go with the ball. I also tend to lose my multiballs particularly fast as the balls are mostly in the way of each other. Once you get accustomed the play it gets really fun though. I found the default lighting rather poor. It had lot's of dark corners where it was hard to see the ball, though one could argue that it fits the theme. I smacked it full of LED's through, that always improves my liking of a machine.

The theme is very well done, and suits the comic/movies. A lot of modes, some side-missions and the deadworld multiball is cool. There's a serious amount of shots and ramps, and even 3 layers of wire ramps over eachother at some point. Made me think of the typical highways in comics/movie.

This pin has a great wow factor. Cirqus voltaire has as its name implies a cirques theme, and man, they did a great job at that. Everything screams color, light and sounds. It's really well done. I especially like the artwork and lighting, and I'm amazed how well the pin is built around that.

There's a lot of ratings mentioning stuff like; "too much stop-and-go" or "hate the gameplay". I now own it for quite a while, and I've now set the animations to be skippable with the flippers, it gets annoying sometimes. It plays well, has a great lot of variety, and so much different types of multiballs, shots to make, and some great video modes. It's get really awesome trying to stack multiballs together. It takes a while and some effort to prime everything so that it all goes together, but once you get there you'll be racking up points like you've never seen before.

The pin's missions make sure you have to get the ball around the whole pin, instead of hitting one shot to start a mission, and that makes it interesting for me.

The one downside for me is that the juggler or the kickout sometimes puts it STTM without the ballsaver, that's harsh, but it could very well be my particular machine.

Splat bugs. That's the first thing you want to do when playing this machine, and you keep getting back to do it. It is a surprisingly fun machine to play, and I'm wondering why it is so low in the ranking. Basically, you kill four types of alien bugs on different planets. You do this by hitting various targets spread around the playfield. Each type of bug has its own colour, and the amount of each type bugs still to be splatted is shown on four 7-segment displays on the playfield. After each planet you might need to capture a huge brainbug that pops out of the plafield. There's also a bug you have to hit and push back to reveal a target hole that starts a multiball. The game has awesome lighting flashers and lots of toys. The best feature might be that it has three flippers at the bottom; two normal sized ones, and one extra at the left side. This little flipper takes some getting used to, but once you get the hacg of it it is a very nifty feature, and its use is awarded extra points. The sound (not stereo) and playfield art could have been better, but for anyone who has seen the film, it's all worth it!

It's a pinball game that's plain and simple, and very fun to play. It looks like there's not too much going on and for that I like it. Incredible lightshow at the end, and really nice to work to. Features a nice backglass minigame that lets you select the mission with a spinning spider. The frogs next to the ramps are very satisfying to hit as well!

A very good pinball machine that has incredible ballflow IF you make the shots proper. It completely destroys you if you miss the shots needed, the ball will bounce back STTM or drain very fast through the sides. It has more missions and multiballs than the standard missions would show, and there's also a few secret modes you can trigger while playing. The main focus in this game is doing the main missions as well as possible, score artifacts, and then use these in the Final Frontier mission as miltipliers. This will determine your score for the most part, as this will get you billions of points instead of millions. Features a lot of ship toys, including a game integrated Borg ship in the back you'll be fighting in a the main multiball, it even is able to fire balls back at you!

Incredibly well done game. It has a playfield theme and simplicity of an '80 pinball machine, but with the lighting, sounds and play of a proper '90 DMD pinball! Lot's of humor, splendid animations and the theme is very well done.

It's hard to get to understand the rules of this game. I have played a couple of games and find it hard to make something of it. There's so much to see that it hardly matters for me, it's basically full of toys. Has some really cool features that make it really stand out, like the ceramic powerball and the magnet mini playfield.

Great game that is really fun to play. It's hard to find this an unsatisfactory game, it's clearly made for fun since the drains are not brutal, and it even takes some effort to get a STTM. Great flow, nice looks, sounds, and humor.

Tales from the Crypt is a surprisingly fun machine. It took my a while to know all the features and shots, but once you get the hang of it, it is a very nice and well thought out machine. The playfield has a good quality, and an amazing artwork.

The main goal is to use the spinners on both orbits sides to select a mission. There's 12 to choose from. You can either lock a mission, or leave it unlocked, and let faith decide. Once you have used the spinners you can put the ball in the center scoop to start it. All missions are not only fun to do, they are all very different from each other. If all missions are completed, you can hit the center scoop once more for the crypt jam, involving a 6-ball multiball, and all hits are 1 million points!

You can also try to bash open the crypt target; a metal wall that drops in the playfield after 5 hits, revealing a VUK that starts a multiball. While in multiball, you need to hit a single ramp for a jackpot, and both ramps for double jackpot. Then you can go for the crypt monster jackpot by shooting the crypt 5 times to open, and then hit the VUK for the monster jackpot.

When done correctly, the lighting is pretty amazing, just using bulbs won't cut it, you need at least proper colored leds in the playfield inserts.
