“Pacific Pinball Museum, Alameda CA. The chess gods told the pinball gods that I repeated a winning position three times in order to leave chess club early enough to play pinball. The gods were annoyed with me -- Ed Krynski's other machines (Sing Along, 4 Square, 2001) crushed me. I hadn't played Spirit of '76 since it was new; making a reacquaintance was the only highlight of the session.”
“LVL UP, Campbell CA. Whirlwind was one of my favorite machines when Pudley's Burgers and Beer (Belmont, Calif.) featured the newest machines at the turn of the '90s. I was so much younger then, capable of making that skyway loop a dozen times. Today, twice at most.”
