A fun risk reward pin that is satisfying to get going but incredibly punishing if you're not shooting well. It's good ole' fashioned pinball FUN - my kids love playing it as well :-)

Fun pinball machine thanks to Flipper's in NC I have been able to play this one regularly - game times can be really long when you get to the wizard mode and can keep adding a ball.

With a challenging and unforgiving two ball multiball with no ball save it's rewarding to get a high score, but this game does not make me want to keep going - it's missing the "it" factor for me.

Cool looking game but even when I have an amazing high score game for some reason does not make me love it and want to play more. Trying to figure out the rules has been challenging as well. That's a subjective rating based on my tastes it is definitely a quality machine that has a lot going for it... the light show is awesome and hopefully you like hearing Metallica :-)

I actually like the way the pro plays better than the LE

A fun game I have great memories of playing back in the day. Now that I've rediscovered pinball, I still find this machine a ton of fun. It's seemingly straight forward yet still allows a nice variety of scoring approaches with good risk-reward choices to be made.

This game ranks high on my FUN meter which is reflected in my review score. I don't know how it would be if it were the only game you owned, but I find it highly enjoyable.

A lot going on in this game but no big surprise from designer Pat Lawlor :-) I think the hole in one ramp is a great gimmick and it's a really rewarding shot to make.

I'm not crazy about the color scheme, but what's more important is that this is a fast and fun game :-)

Another game that I grew to love by understanding it more - challenging and fun! The light show is best experienced in a completely dark room, too.

Rewarding and sometimes punishing game - amazing variety of shots and gameplay. Discouragingly tough outlanes when things don't go well so it's just that much more of a sweet feeling when you really get things going - top rated for good reasons

Magic box is usually pretty beat up, but when this game is working 100% it's a lot of fun! Too bad the wizard mode is only one ball after doing all that work to get there.

If you like fast and furious pinball and happen to be a fan of AC/DC music you'll be in pinball heaven here because you have non stop dosage of each. Play at least a premium to get the lower playfield instead of "the face"

It's a top seller for a reason - I find the game a lot of fun. The random awards on the gold roms makes the scoring somewhat unbalanced in a close match with a friend, but we're talking about pinball here not the olympics :-)

I have played a few LE's and I happen to like like the standard version better.

This machine has been at the top of the all time lists for a reason... it's a great game that does so many things so well! Unfortunately it's also been on top of the price lists as well, but thanks to the remake that's about to change.

Maybe it's like ice cream or pizza - there will always be someone out there who say it's "not my thing" but you cannot discredit the amount of appeal to so many people - it's just GOOOOOD!

Think of this pin like an old muscle car and you'll understand why it has the appeal it does. It's simple and powerful, and in a straightforward manner creates the opportunity to have a lot of good ole' fashioned fun! Remember, this game comes from another era folks.

Just because it is simple does not make it easy, and a well tuned game will give you the best chance of hitting those million plus upper ramp shots. Great light show too on this fun game!

It could seem like a "one shot" game, but there is much more available in terms of game play and strategy. I also think you can only complain it's "too easy" if you regularly score over 100 million points :-)

When set up properly this game is fast and furious and loads of fun! I've played on some terrible Johnny's, and I'm glad to finally have been able to play on some you can really get going on. That being said there are several shots in the game that also halt the action giving you a chance to think about what's going on and plan your next move. Many of the shots bring the ball back to the flippers very quickly so when you get some combos going it's amazingly satisfying and sometimes blindingly fast.

With the ability to milk the spinner millions for mega-high scores the game can seem unbalanced, but it's still no easy task and the game has much more to offer in terms of game play and strategy. The power-down wizard mode is a reward worth the effort of completing the modes, and there is good incentive to actually beat the modes vs timing them out.

I'm more interested in how a game plays than how it looks so the artwork is not that big of a deal to me, and the theme is fine when you understand the world and time the story takes place in.

This is a fun game that can in one moment make a player feel like a hero and in the next moment completely chew you up and spit you out without mercy - I'm a fan!

With a few casual plays this machine didn't appeal to me, but after getting a better understanding of what's going on I realize why so many people love this pin! The rule depth is famous for a reason, I can see how people might love or hate it along with the somewhat "stop & go" shot layout. I happen to enjoy the fact that there is so much to do and it can be daunting to realize that no matter how good you are you might never reach the Super Duper Extreme Mega Wizard Mode... appropriately named after you know what needs to be accomplished to get there.

When it comes to themes and modes it's amazing how well thought out the shots are with how they correspond to the "story" that's going on. This is a pleasant contrast to some other games with only generic "shoot the blinking arrow" shots as you progress through the game.

The voice work and animations add to the experience, and there are so many memorable moments and funny callouts. When you really get this game going the ball times can be long, so this is not a "step up and get your a$$ kicked in a fast and furious manner" kind of game for the better player. Ever machine can be nit-picked, but overall I think this game is a winner.

Great bang for your buck pinball machine, and fun for the whole family with one of the easier multiball setups in pinball. For the same price of a really old EM you can buy this game with four flippers, a mini playfield, a jump ramp, a captive ball pop bumper area, a 3 ball multiball started from a ramp shot and let's not forget amazing retro 80's music!

It's a cool game for it's age, and the art deco Miami Vice theme adds to the fun. To the novice player the game is simple, lock 2 balls in the upper playfield holes then hit the ramp to start multiball. To the advanced player there is some fun strategy in advancing your multiplier and working towards the extra ball and special awards. Stealing locked balls in multiplayer makes things more interesting as well.

Honestly, in a room filled with newer machines this pin gets played the least, but that does not mean it's a boring or dull game. It's like trying to keep a kid's interest in an original nintendo when there is a playstation 4 competing for their attention. The quality is there it's just a little more basic from a different era.
