He was a veerry good bowler, born in 1928 and when I was just a kid in the 70's he was rolling strikes in league play in his late 30's and early 40's. Saturdays was a good day for me, I would get handed a fist full of quaters (2 plays for that amount) and he'd bowl...I'd learn to love the game. In Alameda California, Mel's Bowl, Hayward Ca, Holiday Bowl...with the sound of AMF pins hitting eachother in random ways with no rythm...magin happened...this was where the hook was set.

I just went to the bowling alley in the 70s in Concord (not far from where you were)....Those old EMs of that time were a lot of fun to play. I know have 3 EMs in my basemen.....long with a few SS.
