I guess my first time playing pinball in honest was with one of those toy machines. They must have made them better back in the day. I remember playing pinball on Christmas day with my brothers. It was early in the morning and we were waiting for my parents to wake up. The machine I was playing was a Christmas present from the year before, from the Wishbook. We were getting in the spirit of things.
I kept on tilting that toy machine and kept winning. It was a pretty epic last ball.
I played pinball rarely. I played it again much later when I went on a road trip around the southwest. The machines I remember playing were all Williams machines of the 1990s. I always avoided machines from other companies.
Now I've been playing pinball more, and I bought my first machine. It's fun to play a real machine, and I like getting lost in the machine. There is a feeling I get playing pinball that I could be anywhere or nowhere. It's harder to find that feeling as a person gets older.
