I've always thought of myself as a pinhead, and some of my closer friends and family might even go so far as to call me a wizard. Despite the fact that I'm only 26, my passion for and knowledge of pinball only increases with each passing month......
It started a long time ago, I'm guessing around 8 or 9, when I could barely reach the flippers and had to stand on a stool just to see the playfield. I would routinely get replays, extra balls, etc, even as a little tyke, but my pinterest (hehe) peaked one day while playing Fish Tales at a highway oasis overpass. As the legend goes (too young to remember), I played once and got an end-of-game match. Another game, another match. And another. And another. When all was said and done, I'd put in 50¢ and received SIX (6) matches in a row; assuming the game wasn't broken or the match-payoff set outrageously high, the odds of getting that many consecutive replays were 1 in 1,000,000 (1x10^6). Ever since then, I've been hooked on the silver ball and never looked back.
I absolutely love Bally machines, but Williams wide-bodies are my favorite. Now with a high-paying engineering degree under my belt, I'm aiming to buy my first pin within the next few years! Aside from some of the newer 'licensed' Stern machines, I have lots of love for any pinball, new or old.
Play on, people!
