My Pinball Journey

Always been fascinated with pinball - the blend of electronics, mechanics, and gaming is right at the core of what I love in the world. Don't own a table yet, but rapidly closing in on my first.  I picked up my first, a Special Force that needed some work for what seemed like a song. Enjoyed fixing it, cleaning it, and of course playing it. No idea why that one gets so much hate, its a pretty fun game.

I probably would have held on to it if I had the room when my second pin came along. So I found it a new home at a friends home (Nokoro here on Pinside) and I still get to play it. Win Win I say!

World Cup Soccer 94 found its way into my house, and my heart. Man I really love this game. In terms of difficulty, its not that tough - I'll get to the final once every 10-15 games or so, but thats when Im playing to go for that specific ending. Going to start playing around looking for high scoring combos and such instead. My kids love it, I love it - that makes it kind of a perfect fit. Now I'm looking for more - aren't we all. I think I can make room in my office for another, we'll just see. The right pin at the right price can really change your mind about what you can fit and where you will go to get it, that's for sure.

Next into my rotation is X-Men pro. Got a great deal on a beautiful HUO box from someone only an hour away. He had already kitted it out with LEDs and a Laseriffic topper. I enjoy the game tremendously. Its a great challenge and the theme fits my personal tastes very well.

In a very short period of time I have also added Pirates of the Caribbean - one of my favorite on site machines to play - and a brand new Walking Dead. Man, this one is pushing my buttons. Just one more, just one more I keep saying. Thats the hallmark of a great game. Keeping you frustrated on the edge of your seat. The drains are a monster, and its going to make me a better player for sure.
