At first this pin seems to be a bit "frilly" and almost too "ornate" for a pinball machine- But the more you play, the more all of this makes sense and comes together to make a really nicely done themed game. The voice of the (female) genie is perfect (seductive and inviting), the big blue genie toy in the back also nicely fits into the theme. The music goes really well with all the various "scenes" and modes of the game (the bazaar, the harem, when the blue genie gets angry)... The lighting effects (storm, lightening, etc) fit well with the corresponding modes. The ramps are fun to shoot, as well as the fast rear orbit (tiger loop).

Gameplay is entertaining as you complete various "tales" and collect jewels, etc. One of the biggest downsides for me is the ease at defeating the genie at the end - very easy to attack in multiball mode, as lost balls are put back into play (but I guess this is easily fixed by increasing game difficulty level). The big spinning genie lamp is a bit too big: it detracts from the overall look of the PF IMO. The inlane ball savers (rods that pop up to surround the ball) are a neat feature. Seems like a better design then magnets (a la Theater of Magic) which tend to wear the PF surface over time. Overall, a fun game to play with a "mystical, magical" feel. Good variety of voices and music. Skill shots are fun, trying to get the ball to land in the appropriate jar and avoiding a snake bite...

Well, I'm convinced. This game is a BLAST to play and really never gets old. Callouts and characters are hilarious! The overall game play idea is great (knock down the castles of other local lords and kings to become the most powerful) - and not to forget the two trolls that pop up now and then and the way they respond when you smack them with the ball. Merlin and his magic are great. Overall theme really works well. The PF layout is well done with a good variety of shots, the DMD animations are great, the toys are great (castle with drawbridge that must first open to cross the moat, then the iron gate that you have to hit a few times before you can get in the castle, the the castle toy actually "crumbling and exploding"). Great variety of "damsels" to rescue from the dragon, also with very funny quotes. Overall this game is very addictive and sounds amazing with the music. Fun to play with family, as many callouts have double meanings so kids and adults can enjoy it on different levels. One day I hope to make this one part of my collection (*sigh).

Fun game to play. I'm a kid of the 80's and for sure this game must have been inspired by "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" (1989). The voices and callouts are great for a 1990 game, the music is quirky and fun (as all late 80's music), and the designers definitely didn't skimp on the fluorescent colors. There are plenty of toys and gizmos all over the place, and actually the rule set is decent for a game this old. I always find myself laughing at the callouts from the "gift of gab" shot. It's fun to get the "excellent ray" treatment to work your way from a regular dude to party dude to the max coolness level. The overall gameplay is fun but as others here have mentioned, it can get repetitive at times. Overall though, nicely done fun, entertaining, lighthearted game. "Party on, dudes!" PS - this game must look pretty aweseome (and fun to play) in a room with black lights!

Great overall western theme. I don't really drink bourbon ,or moonshine, but I want to when I play this. The best part are the targets that pop up on the PF during gameplay. Ball is held by a post just in front of the flipper as targets pop up, ball is released and you have a very limited time to hit the target - as if in a gunfight - and it works nicely. Nice variety of voices - Love the voices of the girls, the sheriff, the bad guys, etc. Feels like you're in a western. I think the plunger shot is a bit boring (pull back plunger and shoot the ball into a plastic cup where it spins, while DMD flips through award options until ball drops and current option is selected). Often times there is not enough variety here. I think the big cowboy face (Black Bart?) in the back right PF is a bit silly. Maybe that was the overall point? For me, having an oversized head on the PF kind of ruins the layout. The hat pops off when you hit the face, but sometimes even that gets boring if the ball rolls around back, then slips down into the catch, then triggers the hat to pop (like a delayed reaction), making it not that entertaining. I like the train that rolls across the PF (right to left) that really puts the pressure for making certain shots at that time. The music is great and a lot of fun. Seems like a decent family game (aside from the "shooting" theme.. maybe not the best idea) and IMHO could have been more "adult" oriented regarding artwork. Overall, a lot of fun to play and a huge variety of skill shots throughout as you work your way to shooting the bad guys and becoming the sheriff.

WW is a fast game - and it is fun for that aspect. I love the left outlane kickback, and the left flipper in the upper playfield adds a little more interactive dimension (shooting the whirlpool near bigfoot or the insanity falls left ramp). But the sound-scape and callouts are somewhat annoying. IMHO, there is a "boulder garden" mode when apparantly Wet Willy, his female friend, and bigfoot are bouncing around the rapids? - but their voices (basically a bunch of ohh - ahh, ouch, and every now and then a female voice shouting "yes" - makes it all sound like an annoying, sick, twisted orgy (maybe that's just my dirty mind!). Also horrible is Bigfoot's monkey screams when he has a "hot-foot". All these bad annoying sounds make the game annoying to play. Ramp shots are relatively easy. If the game had better callouts and nicer voices, it would be much more fun to play. However you do indeed get the "wet" rapids theme feeling and sometimes the ball can move quickly around the entire PF (e.g. left orbit fast shot, comes around right, quick bounce off the jets and into the left outlane with a kickout back to the PF..). I wouldn't want this for my collection, even if I kept the volume on 0.

This is a fun, addictive game to play, although I don't know why because IMO the art, music, and callouts are all slightly lame. The open, uncluttered PF seems a bit sparse at first, but the more you play this pin, the more you enjoy the fast pace of the ball and trying to target everything (ramps, etc) with precision. During Multiball, the moving jackpot targets are great (hitting various ramps) which makes getting jackpots more challenging. Also it is quite a lot of fun trying to hit all the 4 martian targets while they're jumping.

I find the overall game goals slightly repetitive: Hit the red targets to lower "force field", hit the big saucer to save France, repeat for other countries, then the same to blow up Mars. I think the weirdest part for me is "Strobe Multiball" - the music is really unsettling and the targets during that mode are a bit repetitive as well. Also, Overall, though, this game is ridiculously addictive!

Voice overs and music just bring everything together almost perfectly. Fun casual game and hard to get the ultimate spider multiball!
