Fez's Tale

My story is simple:) Growing up in the south western suburbs of Chicago , I frequented Haunted Trails on 79th and Harlem and Aladdin's Castle in Chicago Ridge Mall.

I love the action of the pin. Always have.

I came to the current company I am at over 5 years ago. I have 3 co-workers that reignited my passion. The family was rooted in Gottlieb. I was introduced to Pinside and started looking for pins.

Purchased my first machine, a 1979 Gottlieb "Count-Down", on Craig's list from a local seller. He had owned this machine since he was a child. The game was not working when I purchased it and was a little beat up. My co-worker gave me a little starter kit and away I went to work on the pin. I am currently working on and updating this machine. I have it working with the help of a replacement, all in one board. Count-Down is a simple machine with 4 flippers and 4 banks of drop down targets. It has entertained my children (aged 20 & 18) as well as my 5yr old niece & nephew. Even my Mom was playing this machine at my son's 18th birthday party:) Count-Down saw action for 9 non stop hours that day!

That brings us to last night. A windy drive down to and from Indy to purchase my second machine. 1987 Data East "Laser War" I purchased this one from the Pinside market (great experience). Returned home at 11pm only to play until 1am! Can't wait to get home from work tonight....

So that briefly sums up my small & expanding world of pinball! To be continued...Cheers!
