Will make this brief....

I'm planning on retiring in less than 10 years and, hope to relocate to Colorado! But, where I plan to live, there will not be very many pinball restorers; so I am determined to learn how to maintain my current collection and the machines I plan on obtaining...

Just so you know, I tell the wife that I'm doing this for our grandkids (whenever that happens); and that is kinda true... I mean, it validates my obsession...

Okay, said I would make it brief, here are the machines I own; and a brief description of issues I am dealing with:

Target Alpha: This is my favorite pinball that I own, its going to Colorado with me! The only issue i am having with this one is that the machine randomly cycles (You can hear the mechanisms running and clicking. I think unit has something to do with a sensor related to the door housing because, if i bang the upper right corner of door, the cycling stops (most of the time)

Rifle Range(Midway): This is my favorite EM arcade game. I have 2 intermittent issues. The dime coin mechanism is still being used and no matter what I have tried, the dime keeps sliding through... Also, sometimes the mechanical s won't move... In either case (and with no consistency), if I leave the machine off for a few days or weeks (Cut all power to machine), the machine will all-of-a-sudden work for a good period of time (Even after power is cut and restored). This makes me think that I need to do two things, check contacts *& learn how the darn coin mechanism works...

Punch-Out: I know, I know, its an 80's game, but it was a bowling alley favorite as well in that era... I was so excited when I found one, I did not realize I got a bit conned... The lower monitor is down to, I believe red, all the other colors are missing. I am being told I need to recap; I don't know how to do this and have found it difficult to find someone who knows how to do as well (I live in Chicago area, so, if you do know someone in my area, please let me know...) Also, the joystick is not mounted correctly... Bottom line on this machine, I think I need to replace lower monitor and get a new joystick assembly as well..

Ms PacMan Cocktail: My kids love this game! I need to install a lock, because everytime the door accidentally swings open a bit, the game stops, as it should, so I need to fix closure... Other than that, the glass surface and graphics have seen better days (Specifically days of spilt beer, alcohol and, what looks like old chili?), I would like to get a new glass top with graphics for this guy as well...

Road Show: Another game the kids love, but I think I need to change a sensor at the top of the game board because the game audio and scoring acts like I am constantly hitting the top target on the field =( Would like to fix, but would also trade for an older EM... Like an old "Buckaroo" or similar animated EM...

On the other hand, here's a list of machines I wish I owned (I don't have a lot of money, but if you want to sell yours to a good home where "it will get used", lets talk...):

Buckaroo Pinball

Learn To Fly Helicopter Arcade(Or variant)

Ball Park Arcade (Or Baseball, or a variant)

Ten Strike Arcade (Or a variant)

A Big Ball Bowler

A Shuffle/Puck Bowler

Well, that's it!

If you can be of help in teaching me how to fix myself, would be sincerely appreciated!

Hawkmoon says, there are quit a few exellent techs in most of the larger areas, yes i know you said you were going to be remote, but you must be able to cart around at least one machine at a time, yes? If not, then this will be another part of your hobby you must address! From Denver to Pueblo, there are folks who will help:)
