Bought my first pinball last Dec 2011. Lucky for me it was Space Invaders. It's a moving piece of art. After that I found Flash and did a major overhaul http://flashredo.weebly.com/ learning many new troubleshooting skills. But that still didn't fill the need for one more (because, hey, I had just enough space). So then I brought home Gorgar. I was 7 in 1980, so I had seen some of these machines. But I never got a chance to play them, and then they were gone from the Arcades and corner stores. It has been a fantastic discovery for me, my wife, and children. I'm definetly more popular with the kids in the neighborhood now.
Now Year Two: Added 3 more and sold 1. Found Mata Hari in someones garage down the street by chance. Hadn't been played for years and needed a total cabinet repaint. But boy was it worth it, she's my classic gem. Then I scored a Black Knight at a fair price. My son and I really enjoyed cleaning this one up and making it new again. And the time finally came to buy our first DMD. Terminator 2 is the 1st pinball I ever played. It got alot of action at the Navy barracks in 92'. So the time came when I had to let one go, sorry Space Invaders. I was a little sad about it but despite the great art the play was slow. It seems I spend as much time repairing and cleaning them up as I do playing them. But to me that's the best part. Our game room really sparkles now.
