Lower Earley
Played this machine at the UK Pinball Party and it was my 'surprise machine' - one that I enjoyed a lot more than I thought I would.
Premise is simple - hit lots of targets to light the letters of 'Silverball Mania'
When you get a multiplier the lights go out so you have to relight them. Don't lose the ball until you've relit some of those lamps or else your score will suffer big time.
Kicker between the flippers will put the ball back into play if you've lit the ball save light.
Definitely has the 'one more go' factor!

Bloody fast... although played a dirty one the other day which was notably slower.
I would recommend you play a nice tidy one if you can - as it's supposed to bite back!

Elvira and the Party Monsters Bally, 1989
What a great pin!
Picked one of these up for a bargain price and it's delivered enjoyability by the bucket load. All my friends love playing with Elvira.
There is a great range of shots to make, with drop targets, the novel 'flip over' coffin targets, 2 ramps (1 with up-kicker) and a pair of dancing boogie men who like to jiggle around when you land in their saucer.
Artwork is top notch - playfield and plastics are packed with little novel artwork items, and the translite has an awesome amount of characters/detail.
Side are is mediocre by comparison, but still pretty decent.
One other thing of note is the lighting - excellent use of flashers, CPU controlled GI lighting and the general lamps themselves. The first time you get multiball is a treat!!

Iron Man Stern, 2010
I've not played this for long, so my rating reflects a quick bash at this machine - but I really didn't enjoy it much. The layout is very open (not my ideal layout choice) due to the pop-up toy in the playfield - and I didn't find the game flowed at all well.
It was next to a POTC, which I played a lot more and enjoyed more too. Perhaps this game is less forgiving of those who miss their shots!
On the plus side, sounds seemed good - DMD animations were very nice, and the lighting effects were solid too!

Who Dunnit Bally, 1995
Excellent game, with a great theme.
It really grabs beginners and the 'novice mode' which is an option upon starting is great for newbies.
The multiball variety is good, with a 3 ball multiball available from locking balls, winning it on the slot machine, or visiting the basement. A 4 ball multiball is available when you catch the killer in 'The Roof' mode.
Too much good stuff to say about this machine - I will write a story when I get 5 mins!
