This is THE game to play when a friend comes over. Takes 30 seconds to explain. “Let’s play co-op mode”. 2:30 AM? One more game…

After owning this and putting a bunch of games on it I feel I can finally rate this game. It’s incredible. My favorite Elwin layout and possibly my favorite pin to play ever. The shots and gameplay are unparalleled in any modern game for me. I absolutely love the two areas above the flippers with a mini loop shot on both sides and a spinner shot on both sides as well. The snaking the ball does coming off the upper flipper or the upper orbits into these side loops (tail whip shot) back to the lower flippers-back up the ramps or orbits over and over is a thing of beauty. If you’re a flow whore this game is absolutely orgasmic at times. Building is amazing with the diverters that change the ramp returns as it raises and lowers. Single pop guarding the super hard to hit scoop and straddling the right inlane/outlane is also a favorite feauture. Bring those pops down to the lower half of the playfield where they belong! Code is solid at this point, ZY art is dope. This game is already a stone cold classic shooter and has a chance to be one the GOATs when all is said and done. Great job guys.

Edit: we all love doing right ramp-left ramp combos (good luck doing that on this game btw), but the orbit combos on this game are so unique and badass. Doing a taiwhip/deadflip into a left mini orbit spinner rip is just so amazing. I took a couple points away for sound and music though. I love BOC and the fact that it’s in the game but for some reason this game sounds just off.

Edit 2: The lighting has come a long way on this game so rating has been amended. The deeper you get into the game the better it gets. That muted flasher effect from the Maser Cannon will never get old.

Update 3: The new code has juiced the top spinner with new sounds and lighting that are so dope as is the newly implemented oxygen destroyer. Game is approaching a perfect 10 which I didn’t think was possible.

Super fun game that gets 10s for theme integration and fun. Top 5 theme integration for me. You can tell the people who worked on this game love the movie, as do I. It was a grail theme for me as it’s my favorite movie and I’m so happy that the gameplay does the theme justice. If you’re a fan of 90s heyday Williams/Bally this game is for you. Code is ok at this point but this game deserves to be taken to the next level. Lots of stop and go which I’m not usually a fan of but it works here as this game has a chill vibe which is befitting the theme. Not sure if that’s Sam Elliot doing callouts or his doppelgänger because it sounds exactly like him. Game is JJP/superpin heavy. The translight seriously weighs 20 lbs. Couple of fit and finish issues (I could slice a ham with the edge of my lockbar) but overall I’m quite pleased with the build quality of the game.

Edit to add: Forgot about the music! While I wish there was a little more variety, what is there is excellent. Add a sub and you’re good to go.

Not sure if some of the people rating this low and complaining about the shallow code and lack of toys realize that it’s a SeaWitch redo. I don’t have enough time on SeaWitch to comment on how they improved it but I can attest that this game is REALLY fun. If you prefer sweet orbits and juiced spinners to ramps and bash toys, you’ll like this game. If you like early SS games but prefer modern sound/lighting and modern Stern flippers, this game is for you. Plays fast and mean when you jack up the back legs and open up the outlanes and remove the rubbers. Probably not the greatest for a super small collection but this is a great multiplayer game and noobs love it because you walk up and can figure out what to do in 2 minutes. The artwork is fantastic and this game is stunning in person.

This game is so unlike any game I’ve played, much less owned, I’m not quite sure how to rate it. First the easy part: the lighting, callouts, music, theme integration are just incredible. 10/10 across the board. Also, the street level loops, orbits, horseshoes etc. on this game are so fun I would have been fine if this game was ramp free like TNA. As far as the evil pop for a sling, I love it. We all know that slings are the devil because they get the ball moving side to side and that spells trouble. This thing is a sling from hell, especially if the ball hits on the lower half. That being said I find this game challenging during a good game and “yikes, that was brutal” during others. This is the most challenging game I can remember since Flash Gordon. Which brings us to replay ability....I LOVE hard games and this is one of the ultimate “one more game” button pushers. I think a big part of that is the game is just so hilarious and weird it’s hard to get mad at it. If you can keep a straight face during fart dimension then move along, there’s plenty of new games with 0 humor available . Full disclosure: love the show and Spooky. TLDR: addictively fun, tough, wildly unique game that is a breath of fresh air from the current games being produced.

So I’ve waited 6 weeks from getting this game to give it a fair and post-honeymoon rating. It’s really good. It’s also a legit ball buster, so if you’re looking for a flow monster, 40 minute game machine look elsewhere. I have all the original rubbers and haven’t messed with the power settings on the slings etc. that supposedly tame this game a bit. At the moment it’s very bouncy and has tons of side to side action which we all know is trouble. I want to keep it that way. The artwork is up there with some of my favorites. It’s absolutely stunning in person. The lighting is wonderful and captures the nightmare castle theme perfectly. The sound....well I’ve said before that this game is louder than a Who concert (I currently have it on 3 and it’s REALLY loud). The screams and moans and rattling chains are top notch creepy AF. I like Alice Cooper’s music well enough but the way it’s implemented in the game is really sweetl. Animations are cool (comic book illustrations). I really like the modes, they’re not your cookie cutter shoot the blinking light blah blah blah. I love this game because it’s so unlike every other game in my collection. I usually pass on games with an upper playfield but this is so different than all others I’ve played it feels fresh. I think it’s because the upper playfield is so well implemented with some of the modes and it’s fairly tough to get the ball up there in the first place. Fit and finish amazing, the playfield is the nicest in my collection. Well done Spooky!

I can’t believe how great this game is. I played it at Expo and it was fun but now it’s just at another level. Great job with the updated code. This pin is just fun fun fun! And funny. I was kinda hoping for an R rated version but the callouts are great even without the f-bombs etc. Artwork is up there with the best of all time, music is fantastic, and the play field is very unique. The LE is gorgeous and feels super solid, almost like a JJP in fit and finish. Shoots unlike anything else I own. Great job Stern.

Edit: adding that the LE is the best sounding pin I’ve ever heard. The upgraded amp and speakers make this audiophile’s ears weep with joy.

I’ve owned this for a couple months and can testify that it’s awesome. The Venom ramp is one of the most satisfying ramps in pinball and the other villains are all great to bring down. When you have multiball and the Green Goblin/JK Simmons callouts going..that’s about as good as it gets. Great ramps, great code, if you get the color DMD great everything.

Fantastic game that makes me smile from ear to ear when I play it. Much more challenging than I had anticipated but it’s a very fair machine. I’ve heard of people having unfair drains from the theater but I have never experienced one. You can left ramp, right ramp, theater shot, side ramp combo this thing for days and it’s incredible how smooth it is. If you’re a flow person, this is the game for you. Code is great with more updates on the horizon. This is my first JJP machine and am very impressed with the fit and finish. Might be the best pinball machine I’ve ever played in 40 years. We’ll see, I’m still in the honeymoon phase.

Edit: This game is still incredible. Not as fun as DP (what is?) or as intense as GOT (what is?). It’s had a good 1.5 year run at my house. Still the best light show in the biz.

Edit: I did end up selling this, it was time, but it’s still one of the best ever.

Just played about 20 games on location and holy crap is this game fun. I drove an hour to play a Dialed In to make sure that my next game purchase was a solid choice but it wasn’t on the floor. So they had a Houdini, GOTG, JJP Potc, SW Premium, and Batman 66 all lined up next to each other. I’ll save you the details but Batman 66 was easily the best shooting and funnest game on that wall (SW is great too). Theme integration is off the charts, lots of neat modes, beautiful sounds and artwork, Lyman on code, it’s pretty much got it all. That Dialed In is not the shoo in that it was yesterday. Well done.

The cabinet and playfield artwork and art design are subpar. I have two of the most beautiful games ever made in my collection in Ghostbusters and Aerosmith. They’re both for sale in the marketplace. OK, thats out of the way. 0K This is the most addictive, one more game, pin I’ve ever played in 40 years of pinball . The geometry on the shots is pretty much perfect. No cheap drains on this game. You miss your shots, you either nudge your way out of them or you drain. The stand ups protecting the ramps are brutal. Make your shots! When you make your shots it’s like the ball is on a greased track. If you’re a flow freak this game (pro) has it in spades. All ramps and loops are ultra-satisfying and the perfectly placed drop target/ball lock target banks are just that, perfect What really sets this game apart is that you get 6 different choices (houses) to choose from the start that will effect the way you attack the game which puts this game over the top for game owners. There are other games that allow you to pick different modes to start the game, but I find this game unique in the way your choice shapes the game throughout, not just your first ball. This is not my highest ranked game according to my Pinside rankings because of my honest scores about the artwork, but this is the best pin I've played outside of maybe Dialed In. I am a huge fan of the show but I don’t think it’s necessary to enjoy the pin.
Edit: The latest code has vaulted this game into the GOAT conversation. Yeah the playfield is still fugly but this game is so addictive it’s insane. I’ve owned it for a year and a half now and still get the goosebumps when I get a decent game going. For the record, my previous #1 Dialed In is leaving soon and GOT is staying. Just amazing.

after playing a lot of pinball over the last year I can say, this is the most under-rated game out there. It has a great skill shot to start off and then the fun just builds from there. Lots of modes and hurry ups integrated in the srtoryline (move across the country). You have to mash the dozer to advance through the week to get paid but it doesn't feel arduous. Once you get out west the game is really fun until you get to super payday mode which is just bonkers. This game has great feel with the flippers that I don"t really get with the new Stern flippers. You can really catch, cradle and finesse with these flippers, unlike the new Sterns. I don't know. I keep playing these top 30 games with high expectations and RS at the very least holds it"s own. Great game. 9.3 stars///////////////////////////////////////
