Hello Everyone. I signed up to Pinside in July 2012 and really enjoy the site. I've always loved pinball and back in 1998 I bought our first machines (MM and STTNG). Had a blast with them but by 2002 I sold them as kids would be on the way soon and we didn't have any space for pinball machines.

Fast forward to 2007 and we moved into a bigger house and my first thought was that I needed to get back into pinball. I found another MM (restored by HEP - that guy sure does amazing work) and an LOTR. Sure felt good to be back in the world of pinball.

A couple of months ago Xmen joined the party (thanks JJ) and it's been a hit. Tron Pro 2D is our latest addition and it's been modded out, it's definitely a fun game to play.

I go back to the late 80's when I first started playing pinball machines. Every summer a bunch of us would go down to this little place called Birch Bay in Washington state (right by the Canada / US border) and in the arcade there they had a Cyclone. We'd all play it a ton and had a blast with that machine, loved it!

Today whenever I'm with any of those guys and pinball comes up, somebody always chimes in with a "Hey you with the face!". Classic stuff.

We have two kids, 9 and 7, and both of them love to play pinball. We do a fair bit of entertaining and quite often we've got a bunch of kids over and the pinball machines are always fired up and getting played. It's pretty cool to see the look on a 9 year old kid's face when they blow up the castle or get trolls for the first time on MM, it's priceless. All of the kids who come over have never seen a pinball machine before and when they all leave they want one in their house. When their mom or dad asks me how much an MM goes for that pretty much ends the discussion right then and there (sorry son, you'll just have to keep your Nintendo 3DS).
