BEWARE OF SELLER - DISHONEST & GREEDY» Read moreThis transaction started out pretty smooth and eventually turned into a very negative experience. After giving the seller a 500 deposit sight unseen I arranged to come out and play/inspect machine. After making arrangements with Brett (No flexibility offered on his end, only offered one small window of time which I did indicate made it pretty difficult to make happen, but I did anyhow) I inspected the machine briefly and was very satisfied with what I saw, paid the man and left for a future pickup.
After getting our schedules aligned again i arranged to pick up the machine and to my surprise he already had the machine broken down and wrapped. I was a bit irritated and perplexed by this but I didnt say anything....until I got home.
To my horror, he swapped the Invisiglass out and put regular glass in, the color DMD now had strange lines in it that it didnt have before and the sound system was suspect and believed to be swapped out for an inferior system. After I contacted him about the glass he said it wasn't in the auction and even though it was on the machine while I was there and inspected it, it wasn't included. After a closer inspection of the audio and lighting mods it was very apparent that a hack had been involved.
It gets even better folks.... I hired professional movers because Brett said I had to if I didnt want to carry it down his stairs on his hard wood floors. Oh, and he demanded we not wear shoes. I get it, you have a nice wood floor, but you cant haul 300 lb machines around in socks, on a slippery wood floor down stairs. When we got there he had already moved the machine downstairs!!!!! He then asked my movers, before I got there, if they would help him move the machine up stairs!!!!Another few hundred bucks out the door and I ended up paying to move his machine upstairs!!!!
In summary, Brett sold me a different machine than what I was presented at inspection at his house. Based on the caliber of his collection I didnt have any hesitation of trust. I was dooped and overall very disappointed with this Pinside member
After going back and forth with this thief, I realized a small claims action is necessary. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS SELLER!!!!!
