Personally love this pin. Initial impression is the best art I have seen on a machine. Layout is really fun with plenty of shots. Some are tough (looking at you right orbit and hedge shots!). Upper playfields are good! Especially top one. Gets intense when you rip through spinners enough and have to hit the bridge/house shot! Music is good if you like halloween but i enjoy some of the new music too. Code needs work still. They can/should do better with stacked modes and really make it clear what to do. I can tell its just not presented super clean. I enjoy movie clips so those are sweet, custom animation not great but again overall I love this pin. Build quality feels great too. Im considering an ACNC now, but may wait to see if they do Army of Darkness or another pin that hits home to me. Bottom line if you're a Halloween fan I think you'll love this pin. If not a fan I think it would depend on if your ok with some stop moments when elevators bring ball back to play, and also just knowing it's boutique and code and animations still need some TLC. In a home environment they knocked it out of park with theme and the spooky vibe (honestly no pun intended). My daughter likes horror movies but laughs and says Dad let's play something else haha. Great job spooky!

So here's the deal. I've only owned this a couple weeks, but I am really having fun here. I'm reviewing this for what it is, an inexpensive/rather basic 80's pin. I understand and figured going in, the one trick pony here will probably get old, but the ramp shot and following necessary ramp/flipper shot is so fun to try. I'm not a very good player so it's a lot of fun for me.
Also, there's something about me that loves the crappy vintage sounds. It just doesn't bother me at all, and I LOVE the artwork/theme. I love Mad Max, Escape from New York, etc. and I can't tell you how much I dig the playfield and backglass art. I am fine without multi-ball, and in fact maybe I needed a more basic pin to play?

Anyway, I get it this is not a killer machine in comparison to the top 100, but it really seems to work for me at this point!

Enjoyed playing Shrek on location (bar/burger place 20 mins from home). Was happy/surprised to see it and try it out. Longer ball times, easy to enjoy for this average at best player. It was loud there so didn't hear too much of the music (probably a good thing, not a fan of smashmouth). Mini pinball playfield I agree isn't great after the first time (just kind of a cheap feel too it).
So overall really had fun playing, solid machine, will play again...just wouldn't ever buy one for my small collection.

I'm not the best player, and this was my first pin (bought about 4 months ago). I'm still learning some of the rules (don't laugh, I'm just having fun and not taking it too-too serious).

With that in mind, I don't mind the movie, and love Hopper, so the theme wasn't a negative to me. Love the music, sfx and call-outs. Playfield could use a ramp (just personal preference, not a designer or anything). You have the wave/ramp leading up to the Deez (boat) but not really the same thing. Easy multiball shot, have a cliffy on the dive hole and it really makes that a harder shot (not sure why, there's a forum topic on that).

It's a darker playfield as others have mentioned, I put in some LEDs, and don't think it hurts anything. Looks fine.

Bottom line, I am having fun and enjoy this pin, and plan on keeping for a while.
