Looks great, and considering the small playfield, it has some shots. But it is painfully boring. Never wanted to play this one more than once when I saw it. Love the backglass and overall art package though.

For some reason I keep coming back to this one. Well done theme. the avalanche multi ball and the ski lift are pretty damn awesome. Slightly easy to reach wizard mode especially to today’s standards. Love the back glass.

Spirit is amazing in every way shape and fashion. Some of the best artwork ever. Gameplay makes for a very replayable game. Love it, never pass up a chance to play one.

Lots of fun, not a fan of the band but that doesn’t detract from gameplay. Rules are a bit hard to pick up on. Fast paced but not a drain machine...you can actually have some nice ball times.

Great layout, odd theme but executed well. Maybe my favorite JJP game to date.

Awesome sound, some of the best I have heard. No ramps make for a unique experience. Reminds me of an updated version of scorpion.

Always heard this is the worst game out there...not great by any means but it is fun. The stand up “snipers” are a unique feature and I like th flow of the ramps. Not an A title but not the worst.

WOW! Game looks amazing, lights are bright but not blinding. Awesome playfield Art...all the essentials are in there...slimmer is a bash toy that actually works, and the marshmallow man is prominent.

Early modes are easy to learn, seems like they are challenging.

Great flow, ball isn't just bouncing around aimlessly.

Dots are good. A green screen would have been nice instead of red.

Overall I was not dissappointed, can't wait to play more. I really wanted this to be good and it delivers. Well done stern...well done.

I really like this game. Gets old after many plays but the layout is great. Also love the random placing of the pop bumpers.

Kinda reminds me of Fireball minus the spinning disc. You have two saucer locks. They ain't too easy to hit either. Multiball isn't as fun as getting the locks though.

A bit of a slow playfield, but it is pretty cool. Some better art may have helped. Maybe even a crappy license of some off name wrestler like Jimmy Superfly Snuka.

I've played better system 80's but this ain't too bad...would like some better lighting in the game. No flashers, kinda bland.

Great looking game...but not too much fun...a bit slow...not enough to shoot at for me.

What a fantastic game! Played this about seven or eight times now and really enjoy it.

Layout is damn near perfect...VERY FAST! Those orbits whip it right back to you. Ramps flow well...game flows well. Only problem I witnessed was the ball rockets right down the middle of the plunge...so in multiball your first ball is direct drain...total killer.

Lights are awesome, love the lit targets on the side.

Themed damn near perfect. Art reminds me of early 90s sega games, not nessasarily a bad thing. Lots of racing elements and no "dead time" with balls staying in pops forever.

Overall great game, even though the theme does nothing for me it it fun to play.

Enjoyed this one. There is some controversy on the art...Most pins have some sort of boobage on them...But this takes it a bit further. Alot further. And not in a good way. Looks as if the art department was led by an 8th grade boy. More stupid then "sexy".

That said, game plays well. Skill shot truly is a skill to hit. Ruleset is easy to pick up and I like how your progress is saved from ball to ball. Scoring is balanced.

Layout is unique and those double posts near the flippers provide for some one of a kind bounces. Not a must play for me, but I think with better art this would have been a classic. Great cabinet!

I think this is the best stern since Star Trek. Really nice layout.....The Demon kickout is wicked! I got plenty of straight down the middle releases from it. I see the ball save some times saves you...but on the one I was playing it was VERY short in time.

I like the scoring early on, balanced and the bonus actually matters. Nice multiballs, easy to pick up ruleset.

Really enjoy it. I don't care for KISS the band but this is a great game. Nice homage to the original as well.

For a very simple game, this is really addictive. You want to get that spinner value up, then crank it! Love the backglass. Great sounds that are satisfying when you hit your shots. Fun in tournaments cause it is easy to put up a crap score...real challenge.

Hard to find game even thought there were 3,550 made. Not all that desirable, but i think there is some charm here.

Playing with the multiball "on" makes this game annoying...you're almost in constant multiball. Working for it is Better.

Shallow rules even for this era of gottliebs.

All that said, I really enjoy it. Art, while cheesy, perfectly fits the theme. It is a snapshot of the era.

One ramp to hit, that feeds to mini...and it is mini...playfield in the top right. Now they fit 4 things to hit up there is amazing. Not a game you could play for days on end, but it is a nice change of pace...

Music is also the best for these era of gottliebs.

Game needs to be played with two people...like sex, it can be done solo, but is nowhere near as satisfying. I've played it both ways and it is very boring solo.

With two players you really need to know the rules which aren't that easy to pick up and understand. Would be great as a knockout tournament game.

Art is dead on and noises complement the game. Gets old quickly for me, but I enjoy the novelty.

Found myself wanting to learn the rules on this one...played it many times and enjoyed the game play. Found the rules to be easy to pick up and the roulette was a nice touch.

Not the worlds biggest challenge but provides some nice entertainment. Theme and art are well done.

Finally played this enough times to get a feel for it...right ramp can be a very easy and repetitive shot, could have used a diverted like x-files has if you hit it enough times in a row.

Artwork is nice, and game rules are easy to pick up.

Plays a bit different than other segas, but the sound still blows.

I want one!

First off, the video mode is wicked. Those ghosts are not friendly...much harder than Pac Man itself. Got through 2 levels and thought that was a miracle.

THe playfield is also nice considering the size. Great satisfaction going from side to side hitting the FRUIT lanes. Also like the Godzilla radar-like shot in the middle. Always enjoy hitting those even when they aren't that important.

Video mode could have used some real color. This is kinda greenish...reminds me of the crappy atari port for Pac Man back in the day.

Great game! The video mode is actually well done considering this is a PINBALL machine. Graphics ain't too bad either.

The playfield has some really unique shoots and I enjoy how you start the video mode by trapping a ball near the screen...easy to know when it starts so you aren't looking up or down a bunch.

Art is great and themed really well. If this were a licensed theme (Tarzan?) I bet it would have been more popular.

Played this one at the Coin-Op HOF in Hopewell PA. Only 10 made?!?! I guess I never have seen it before.

Game starts kinda like specturm *flipper plunge". There are several holes (similar to Gottlieb system 3's) all around the playfield and also up a huge ramp going up the middle of the playfield...a wicked shot...If you don't lock it up in one of the holes it is coming SDTM.

Otherwise the game is great. Wonderful 5 ball multiball which is frantic. The art is pretty boring and lackluster, but the gameplay is great. Almost reminds me of a poor mans Airborne.

Artwork is great, love the BG. playfield also implements the video game as well. The lighted playfield in the middle is a good idea, but the execution is sub par. Hard to "pick up and play", takes awhile to learn the rules on how the hell that thing works and what it actually does.

Layout is nice, lots of targets to knock down and they are important. I can see why this is usually a cheap game. It gets old quickly.

Personally, I think this is the best System 3 game out there. Art package is dead on. Great rendering of Pam and the side art is probably some of the best you will find for the era.

I also think this has the best flow of system 3's. No stop and go that SF2 or Tee'd off has. Layout and gameplay pair nicely. Rules are deeper than some system 3's and take a few plays to get used to. While the scoring can be unbalanced, nowhere near the chaos of a Gladiators.

DMD is pretty damn good for system 3's as well. Rescue 911 and SF2 are damn near terrible.

Sound is great. Pam has some nice callouts...but the music could use a bit more variation.

Ramps are smooth...playfield art is good...backglass is unreal...given some better rules I think this game would get alot more love.

The skill shot is an actual "shot". Not a simple plunge and roll over something that is blinking. I like the "LENS"...again, there are several shots on this board and many things to do...not boring at all.

If you see one on location (good luck), drop a few quarters in....Only 1,000 produced and I am sure much less are in circulation.

I am usually a System 3 apologist. I like Barb Wire, SF2, Freddy, almost all of them. This one falls way short though.

The sound and callouts are below par, very repetitive.

While there is alot going on in the layout, none of it flow together. The upper kinda playfield area is dull and hard to see with ramps going over it.

The art is very Saturday morning cartoonish. And not in a good way. Big Hurt has great art...don't know what happened here.

Not very fun, and like most system 3's, really unbalanced scoring. I am a huge Shaq fan in real life, but the pin does not translate into fun.

Wow! Never saw this before this weekend...what a great game! Starts with a wonderful skill shot...lots of options off the plunge and locking a ball is one.

Wicked fast. Center ramps remind me of who dunnit?...but don't miss! If you do it is a rocket right back to you.

Hard to hit drops on each side...great ramps...deep enough rules that I could play this a lot more! Really love the layout...if this were themed as top gun with Tom cruise on the backglass their would be 5,000 made.

Wonder why this is ranked so low? Tons of shots all over the playfield...pretty good modes. I like the artwork. Huge ramp on this one as well. I will try and play this one more, maybe even buy one!

The backglass is very odd. Still not sure what's going on there. The playfield adds some intrigue though. One of the more unique playfield layouts and gameplay for the era.

I like it. but could understand why others don't because it is so different...I do like the "transporter" effect though.

Considering how good this game is it is a shame there are not more out there. I can only imagine how many are left in good playing condition. Luckily there are two places close I can play it.

Wild layout! There is a kinda backwards flipper shot in the upper right, a side ramp on the left...and a really cool target area in the middle. Game is easy to pick up on the rules which I liked. Still not too easy.

Art is a bit lacking but the layout of the table fits the theme perfectly. Would like to have one in the collection some day!

This game is fun, but damn near impossible to figure out the rules/scoring for. Played this in a group, and a few times myself and we were impressed with the layout, gameplay, but the ruleset was hard to figure out.

Art is out of this world, literally. But the game isn't one you want to play over and over, at least not me.

Surprised to find it ranked this low...I think it plays really well for a game of this age. Rules make you build bonus as well as go for points. I like it.

Really enjoyed this game, wish I bought it when I had the chance. Theme is odd at best...when was popeye saving animals? Really liked the layout of the playfield...upper playfield was pretty cool. Rules weren't crazy deep, but enough to come back for more.

The start of the multiball is worth the price of admission. Very cool magnet effect...gets 4 balls locked together...spins a disc and lets them loose. Play very similar to other Sega, Starship troopers.

Love the layout, I think the extra ball is a little to easy to get, but overall it has some shots and offers a nice risk reward. It can be a bit random at time with the scoring and scoop rewards but that doesnt detract from gameplay.

One of the most accurately themed games out there. Ring, tons of wrestlers, good use of license. Very linear layout, left ramp, right ramp, right orbit, left orbit.

Skill shot wasn't explained to well. I figured it out by luck. It is hard and maybe not worth it since you miss out on ring hits.

Speaking of ring...would drop targets have been better? Maybe. Thought you would be able to stay up there forever, but it isn't a snooze fest up. Feels a bit slow, but maybe it was me.

Rules aren't there yet but what was there seems to be the ground work for something cool. Hopefully you can win the WWE title in the wizard mode (if there is one). Right now it justs seems like you score, not progress through something. Hopefully that develops over time.

Far from a bad game. I enjoyed what I played and it was even better than I expected.

Considering the time period this game is alot of fun. Very hard to spell "Sky Diver"

I find the left flipper to pretty much be "dead". Not too much to shoot for from that one...at least from the few times I played it, it seemed all the points came off the right one.

Backglass is awesome, the rest of the art is ok.

Not the best early stern out there but it poses a challenge if you want a high score. No cheap points on this table...you need to earn them.
8.592/10

Artwork almost reminds me of the dune movie...I like it. Backglass is totally bad ass.

I've played other Gameplans, they feel cheap...this one does not.

Layout looks bland, but the rules make it more interresting than meets the eye. Lots of fun and after several play I wanted more! Too bad their aren't many to go around, I think collectors would be all over this of it were a bally/williams of the same era.
8.657/10

Why have I never played this until today? Totally awesome game. Completely unique, balls are loaded from every angle on this table...your ball "disappears" under a plastic and boom! You are fed another one. Took a few games to get used to but it blew my mind...tons of flow,

Also love the artwork.

Game rules are a bit confusing to start, but pose a challenge when you are trying to rack up a big score.

Great game, would love to own.

Damn, this is in the 150's? Really cool layout, shots for both flippers.

The Ark Multiball is great, you think 8 balls will be totally out of control but the wide open middle of the playfield makes this at least manageable.

Really like the DMD work, brings the movie into the game nicely...graphics aren't perfect, but pretty good.

Ramps are smooth!

Also like the modes...they don't get progressively harder to start (at least the one I play), and multiball aint that hard to get either.

Lots of fun and easy to pick up ruleset. Wish I had one on route close to me!
6.646/10

Surely, this is NOT the worst pin in the world, probably not the best either. I am over the fact stern kinda wasted the license. No voice work from the actors? No animated (or better yet LCD screen) Rick blowing up zombies with his six shooter? No Beth taking a shovel to the head of a zombie? No famous episode moments? (The well zombie doesn't count, that didn't move the story or characters at all).

I think they would have been better off making this a generic horror game other than spending the money on the license, this would have probably taken off close to a thousand dollars a machine.

Enough complaining...

Gameplay is ok, way too many SDTM drains in my opinion...several shots and the plunge lead to pops...one way out of them...I'd say there is a 1 in 9 chance you can't save it. Not because you misplayed it. But because that's how it is setup...encountered this on pro and LE versions.

DMD animations are top notch (but hey you have the license, USE IT!). Would have liked an LCD screen...or at least a full color DMD....FREDDY had a red DMD twenty years ago...this is nothing new.

crossbow is a neat feature. I don't miss it on the pro though.

Usually if I like the theme I give gameplay a pass, I love TWD but gameplay falls short for me. Not bashing the game at all. Just think it is a missed opportunity. I have been a few places with pros and LEs and I find myself playing the other pins and passing on TWD each time.

Nip it has multiball which I don think I have ever seen on an EM (I haven't played too many), it actually has one of the deeper rulesets for an em as well as the gator "chomp" feature.

Brutally hard, some odd feeds to the flippers make some easy shots not all that easy. Gets old quick for having such deep gameplay...no real satisfying shots.

Glad I played this, totally unique pin with a pop bumper as your "post" in between your flippers. Adds for some interesting gameplay, hard to get a big score but very satisfying when you do....love the spinner....actually works quite well. Lots of fun.

Typical Data East from this time period but a few things set it apart.

1. The Artwork. Usually "real" pictures on a backglass just don't work. This one does...and Granny is still in the grotto!

2. Fantastic Sound. Up there with Time Machine. Digital sound comes through great and having Heff do some voice overs makes it a step above the rest.

3. A bit of a deeper ruleset. NOT VERY DEEP. But considering the other DE games of the time there is some strategy here.

The game is not challenging. You can crush ramps. I'd like to see a pro play it. My guess is they would burn the coils the games would last so long. If this was the only game you owned it would get old. In a big collection it is nice.

Comparative to the other playboy pins (I have owned them all).

Artwork...Bally, Data East, Stern.
Gameplay...Stern, Data East, Bally.
Sound...DE, Bally, Stern.

They all have their place in pinball. You should give it a try if you ever see it and appreciate it for what it is, a tribute to Hugh Heffner.

One of the best plunge features ever....but it would get old. Sure looks cool on the first game though.

WIDE BODY! Plays pretty fast considering the size. Easy to pick up rules but damn I sucked at this...don't know if its that hard or not but I played about ten games on it and it ate me alive. Fun game.

Great art, a crazy theme, can't imagine where the idea came from but it is as original as it gets.

Ranked in the 70's? How? This is maybe the best SS game of the early 80's. Wonderful layout, shots all over the board, great "guarded" lock areas, good ruleset, and the art is amazing.

I found myself pumping quarters into this one for a straight 45 minutes. Lots of fun. If I had my choice I'd take this over almost any game, DMD or not.

Always see people hating on this so I gave it a spin. The callouts get old fast, but gameplay is well done. Several modes, run scoring, moving target....a lot to do. Suffers from what I think all system 3s suffer from, and that is the crazy valued shot. Sf2, freddy, this...they all have a crazy valued jackpot or bonus that gives you way to many points and offers some unbalanced scoring
If you're a baseball fan you'll like it, if not you probably won't. Not lit very well either.

Very simple, but fun ruleset. Art is okay, but gameplay rules on this one. Better have a spinny spinner on this one cause when that lights for 1,000 a spin you want to work it. I am always a sucker for hitting targets in order.

Really like this one.

Great original art...probably the best looking atari pin. Two sets of flippers on each half of the table. I can do without that, but it is absolutely wide enough to handle them. Pretty much a build your bonus game. Brutally hard and slow. Could use a powerball to speed it up.

Never even heard of this before playing at PAPA this week....where has it been! This is awesome. There are dancing cacti in the back....yes, dancing cacti. It kinda reminds me if you gave a sixth grader the chance to make a pinball this is what they would have done.

Very simple ruleset, however it is odd. Tossing fruit? Yea, that's a mode. The art is also odd at best, not all that appealing backglass.

It is very fun. I tottally enjoyed it...will play again. Wouldn't mind owning either.

I have only seen this at papa in Pittsburgh and one day I was there I felt compelled to play about ten games on it. Horrible art, looks like an 8th grade art project...

Odd table layout hat keeps it fresh. Pop bumpers in areas you don't see on other games. Not my favorite Gameplan, but it is so odd it made me want to keep playing it.

Really like TWD show so figured I needed to give this a few quarters.

Art is great, really nice work on backglass and side art. Playfield is nice as well.

Well zombie plays a bit too big of a role in the art/gameplay...it was a kind of insignificant part of the show/comic...,but dominates the playfield. On top of that it registers about half of the hits....not good for a shot that can result in some drainage.

Pops are strong! You can get some real action on them...HATE the amount of center drains off the pops release. Watched other people play as well as myself and this happened about 20% of the time...that's not good...should be a clean release considering you hit there off the plunge.

Love the ramps going through the back of the playfield. Barn is a neat toy. Skill shot actually takes skill which is nice.

DMD animation is top notch, but cmon stern, take it to the next level. JJP has the video screen, Spooky is one table deep and thier animations are as good if not better. Get rid of the DMD (or at least go full color) and move on to the next generation....still good considering thier use of technology. But it needs to improve...if it doesn't more pinball makers will pop up and take market share.

It was me and a few friends playing in the arcade and after a few plays We felt we'd rather play iron man, ac/dc, pinbot, or Star Trek as opposed to TWD.

Overall good game.

Great game, gave it two spins at Kickback in Pittsburgh. Just went on location today. Plays very well. The kickout hole on the right is brutal! You gotta get ready for it, very fast . Once you get used to it it's not bad. The ramps are smooth, as well as the jump.

Pops are strong, hell, everything is strong on this! No weak coils on this one. Multiball was nice. Good flow. Code appears to be pretty deep. Didn't learn too much from only two plays but think there is a lot of potential with this one. Doesn't feel like a "lesser" quality pin by any means. Plays just as good (if not better) than most new pins.

A few minor glitches in ball search code may have you removing the glass alot during this one. (We did no less than a dozen times during an hour and a half of play). This however would seem to be an easy fix. Overall, great game that is themed very well.
Seek out and play!

Edit: played it more. Like it more. People need to drop quarters in this one or collectors will be stuck with one or two pinball manufacturers and no variety.

In a word, the game is radical. Some of the oddest shots you will find on a playfield. Upper flipper better be strong.

Locking ball ain't easy and neither is getting a high score, you have to grind on this one. Themed very well in my opinion. Absolutely worthy of a few quarters.

Of the Sterns from this era this is my least favorite. The art is way too bright for my liking considering the theme...Dracula is dark, not bright blue. Centaurs color package with similar artwork would have been much better off. I see this for sale alot and have never really considered it.

The "Skill shot" is tough, not easy to land in the little hole up top on the plunge. You can also get a wicked kickout from the left. Lots of fun and rules that make you work for points. Easy to pick up and play, hard to master.

Need to get this one, lots of fun. Especially for the average player, which I am. I am sure a pro would destroy the left ramp....but I liked being able to get in a groove with it. Right ramp ain't so easy tucked away in the corner.

Tough multiball...great artwork and music...a classic.

Finally got a chance to play this several times in a row. Really liked it...I think it is themed well, the ramp shot is fun. Really like the playfield art.

Another 6803 with very little love out there...probably the most complex playfield in this series of games.

Music could be better but nice sounds.

C'mon bally....if you're painting the cabinet at least have a unique design...I hate this same feature on my hardbody.

I like it, the fun factor is there...if made a few years later with a bit more technology this could have been a hit.

I feel obligated to write a complete review since there isn't much info about the game here....

Layout: one ramp, kinda two if you count the right half of the guitar as a separate shot. Two orbits, and a few targets spread out. Gotta have this one steep and leveled for good fast gameplay. You need to lock five balls for multiball (the meltdown one), and this lends to a great multiplayer game since you can steal them. Three pop bumpers are pretty tame, no bad knockouts from them.

Gameplay: meltdown multiball is chaotic. 5 balls on the playfield, nowhere to hide them and it is 10x scoring when all five are out there. It goes down to five, four, three, and two times each time you lose a ball. Keeping as many alive as long as you can is a task. If extra balls are on it's worth while to shoot the "heavy" and "metal" targets to get it lit. Don't ignore the bonus multiplier up top, worth your while. Game also has two extra buttons to switch the lanes to spell JAM at the top of the playfield.

Art: fantastic side art, maybe the best ever considering the time. Totally awesome. Love the playfield, it oozes late 80s hair bands. Almost impossible to find either in nice condition though so good luck.

Sounds and Music: there are haters out there but what do they want for sounds? It's all guitar and drums....that's perfect in my eyes. There are some slower beats, but otherwise a loop. The callout "Heavy, Metal, MELTDOWN" is about as epic as it gets.

Lighting: pretty cool light show for the multiball, gets you amped up. I would totally reccomend LEDs in this one, I did and am very happy about it.

Fun and lastability: I really enjoy it, doesn't get old for me, but I also love hardbody, I have a soft spot for 6803 games, simple, challenging, not deep, just fun,

Takeaway: if you want it you will have to overpay. These rarely come up and almost never come up in good condition. Considering the era I'd say there is maybe 800 still out there as most have been parted out or sittinin a barn rotting away. For under $800 you are getting a deal in my opinion. Great game to enter the hobby with, not expensive, and easy to take apart, clean and repair. You'll see some haters out here but this is one of the best games you can score for under $700 in the market.

Three or Four plays on this and you will probably really enjoy it....7 to 10 and it gets old fast. Best themed toys on a game to date...jump rope...punching bag....those are brilliant and take up little room on the playing surface...however the "fights" get old.

Fun for a spin or two but would be mad if this was the only pin on location somewhere.

Great early Bally Solid State. lots of potential mulitball action and I love the "defending" drop target for the ramp. Outlanes provide for some great nuding as you try and reach the bonus holes.

Overall great game. Well worth your quarters.

Right now, I need this game! Lots of modes and I don't think it could have been themed better, The meter that keeps track of attendance is cool....similar to soul collector in LOTR.

I love TMNT, but not this game. Maybe one of the worst layouts ever. Left ramp...left ramp....left ramp....that's all you do. The sewer kickout is not unique and doesn't work all that well....the spinner makes the left ramp slightly harder but not really adding to anything. Great side art, playfield is ok

Sound quality is very low, and it isn't the exact theme, sounds like a knockoff.

Its pinball so it is fun, but comparatively speaking this is not one that you really need to play. Art is lacking, probably the worst System 3 there is.

Edit: played this a lot more...beginning to enjoy it...however the scoring is way off balanced for a tournament mode or a four player game...music is growing on me.
8.268/10

Every time I see this something drags me into playing it...maybe it is the kickass backglass? Really the only thing subpar about this one is the animations, kinda cheap looking, maybe its the small DMD? Other than that this plays awesome, shots galore on both sides of the playfield.

I had to get the multiball on this one and it was in a word...unique. Hard to get too, at least for me. The playfield is a bit overcrowded with "Stuff". Really didnt find it too much fun except for the rush of the multiball.

Very cool idea, you are racing your horses on the backglass. Maybe the worst gameplay and ruleset ever. Scoring made no sense at all...you could flip for 5 minutes and generate 135 point or get 500 off the "plunge" which is actually just a button push, kinda neat but there is no aiming that thing.

All this said, there is something that makes you want to play this over and over. Great when playing in a group because so much feels like luck on this one. Bad but good all at the same time. The movie equivalent is Halloween 3.

Would have liked the modes to play more like episodes with some story telling. Relaly like the layout...maybe the best themed pop bumpers ever! mini playfield is VERY small but actually plays well. Finally got a chance to play this one at kickback cafe in Pittsburgh. Great condition, worked well. Never played it before but I logged about 7 plays on it...lots of fun and quite challenging! The one ball lock shot is tucked away very tight in the back right.

Also has one of the best skill shots ever....it actually takes...SKILL! Perfect plunge is satisfying. The upper flipper can get you three shots between targets and ramps...not a one trick pony. Ruleset was easy to pick up on, would like to master it sometime though. Right up there with my favorite system 11s.

They missed the boat by not having a "jump" on this game. Evel was putting his mug on literally everything at this time and this fits the theme of his marketing. Spinners are huge. Fun for a few plays.

Pretty wide open playfield. The "gears" drop targets are high risk / reward. There is no tilt warning noise on the version I played...saw many tilts on it because no one knew they were warned.

Multiball was interresting on the fact that u can pass on it and try to get more balls, up to six, for the multiball. I found the multiball itself to be a tad boring.

Game plays fast, nice flow.

Not the worst stern, not the best. It is themed well but I don't think code will improve it. Deck is just not that interresting.

Fun pin that is totally unique....what other pin has an enormous pool ball in the middle of the playfield! Reminds me a little of Circus Voltaire.

If more people knew what Dr. Who was I think this pin would be much more appreciated. Really fun ruleset with picking your Dr before each ball. Takes a bit to figure out what to hit on the playfield but when the rules are learned this is a unique game.

Also has a fun multiball...and the DALEKS! Maybe the most annoying villians of all time are out in full force.

Early game for an upper playfield. However has some of the most unbalanced and confusing ruleset I have seen. Zaccaria has a fetish with the bonus time feature and this one has one that is hard to pick up on. Game I played didnt have a card, but the bonus time was not obvious to figure out on the playfield.

Some other point values were out of whack. Not a bad pin, but ruleset makes it tough to enjoy.
8.539/10

So much for for a game with so little on the playfield. Love how you have to hit the shots in order. The spinner on the right doesnt look like it will be a clean shot but you can really rip it. Also like the captive ball shot, you really cant aim for it.

Not a deep ruleset but you can slap away on the flippers on this one and have a blast! Would love to own.

Enjoy the game start sound cause that is the last one you are going to hear. I know what a scorpion is...what is on the backglass is not one. Upper playfield plays well but top right of the playfield is almost out of play. Not one to search out.

Enjoyed it more than the movie! Like the skill shot and T-Rex "eating" your ball is one of the cooler toys in pinball. Also like the missile shot --- saves your ass on ball three when you haven't accomplished anything on your first two balls! Nice layout and flow. Would like to play more often.

REALLY long ramp with the Hurricane shot which is interesting. Juggler is kinda hidden so you dont get to enjoy it. Thought the playfield was too dark. In the trilogy of roller coaster pins this is the lowest rated in my opinion. Not nearly as fun.

Artwork is also below par...looks cheap...as if a high school student did it as a project.

Lots of target to knock down on this one and a pretty open but challenging lower playfield. Once you clear the targets really nothing to do. A spinner or two would be nice.

The cabinet artwork is pretty good for the era...the rest in two words is "pretty bad". Oddest layout on a pin...all you do is nudge...flipping is almost optional. top part of the playfield is laughable. When set to tilt ends game and the tilt is tight it is unplayable.
5.490/10

Never played this until recently and found it to be lots of fun. The doc oc shot is a bit easy to start multiball and the center shot can generate some big points. Not the hardest pin outer but enjoyable nonetheless. Got several replays on it my first time through. Probably wouldn't like to own as I think it wouldn't be too much of a challenge but there were tons of modes/multiballs to keep you busy.

EDIT: The more I play and figure it out the more I like it.

This one is tons of fun! I loved the raised shots in the middle of the playfield, the sounds were nice as well (dragon roar). I love the rollover targets...those were a nice addition. The one I played (PAPA) was in perfect condition, everything worked great and I played it many times. I generally dont like EMs at all but this one was very fun. It wasnt the instant drain that many ems are...and you can actually score on it!

Meow, meow, meow, meow! Get used to hearing that...fun game, with a unique theme. I think it may get old after many plays but always worth a few quarters if you see one. The spinner in the middle is pretty cool. Rules are pretty simple.

What a fun game! Played this at PAPA. Doesn't look like much from the artwork, but the layout is great and I love the scoring, it combines the scoring of NBA fast break (actual baskets) and traditional pinball scoring. Bonus heavy game but I really enjoyed it, played it about 12 times and wanted to come back for more.

Oddly enough the last rater of this game is the guy I bought Bonebusters from!

Artwork: Awesome all the way around, cool cabinet, best topper EVER, and a funny backglass. The playfield artwork is top notch.

Gameplay: A little bit of everything. I really like the spinners and you can get some real action off of them. I really like the mini-flipper diverter. It adds another little nuance to the game that doesn't take up/waste space.

Rules: If you want a deep game this is not it, there is no awesome wizard mode or missions to complete. However there is more than one way to rack up points on this one. I also like that you can get a two, three, or four multi-ball going. It all depends on how patient you are before you go for the "jump" shot in the middle.

Sounds/ Gimmicks: Nice for the era. Also love the topper...is there one better? Not sure, maybe the fan in Whirlwind. If you have never played this there is a full sized moving/talking skull on the top that lights up. Very cool. Music has some variation during multiball, but otherwise is looped. Also has a "bonus time" feature where you can get 10 to 30 seconds of additional gameplay when the third ball drains...this would be great for 4 player games when you need a boost to take the lead. could be a real heartbreaker.

Theming / Fun: I guess there was a potential for this to be a ghostbusters game and you can see that. I dont think there is a fictional "story" told better by the artwork on the backglass and playfield. Really tells the story of bonebusters. It's not deep, but there are enough shots on this one to keep you coming back.

Should you buy it. I have two pins that I paid under $1000 for, this is one. I think it is worth more on the marketplace and if you ever see one with the ground mods for anything around $1,000 you should add it to the collection. It is fun and is noob friendly, your friends will be able to compete with you on this since there is no "hidden" way to score points. Well worth it.

This is from 1983? Doesn't play like it, seems that this could have been released 10 years later...I guess that's why it is called time machine! Really cool playfield gimmic. Art package is unreal, bright vibrant colors, love it...the old guy is a little too much...could do without the hairy nostrils. The game was fun for three plays, but I think I'd get bored with it over time. If you ever see one take some time to take in the artwork, really top notch.

Challenging? no...Fun? Yes! However if you want a challenge remove the rubbers from the outlanes...this significantly changes the gameplay! Your scores will drop big time, when they are in it is a pretty easy game.

Doesn't hurt that it looks beautiful. You gotta have the nude photos to make the most of it...it is playboy, go nude!

Ramps are laid out nicely, center shot is key, it is easy, so easy they put a blocker in front of it. Animations are top notch, beautiful dot matrix work. Love the sounds too, maybe the best voice work on a pin. Gives you the full playboy feel. Tournament worthy? Probably not, but tons of fun to play.

Hate the "noise" on this one. Repetitive and annoying, Wish the lower playfield was utilized more in gameplay (like haunted house). Love the art package but game was a bit too wide open for me because of the lower playfield. There is nothing for about 2/3's of the machine.
7.241/10

This gets repetitive after a few games...no multiball hurts but it would have been damn near impossible to implement with the ruleset. Very ready, aim, fire, type of game. Need to hit your shots in order or not too much scoring going round.

On the surface, worst idea for a pin ever...but its done so well! Super campy...funny callouts and music. Really love it. Beating heart always pumps me up for multiball. If there is one table that needs redone and rerun this is it! Too hard to find and almost never seen out in the wild.

Can't understand all the hate on this one. Just picked one up and it's a blast! Also very heavy...

If you are. "Flow" person then this is it for you...ball NEVER stops. Also has the "flex save" feature which is a cool and challenging gimmick. Never saw it on another machine, makes you feel so good when you save a ball yourself.

Achieving Extra Ball is damn near impossible. I have done it, but not often.

Upper playfield is on of the best utilized upper playfields ever, many shots, targets, loops.

Cabinet artwork is awful, just the bally logo. The backglass is sweet, totally 80's and a hot chick. The playfield artwork is very timely, but they could have done some more weight lifting themes in here.

Sound is ok, must consider this is 1986.

Tough to score on, you get some quick balls with this one. Quite the challenge.

Lacks a multiball, but plays fast enough that you don't need it, would have been nice though.

Add to your collection, it's cheap and has a great replay value.

Usually mini playfields are not done well, this one is great, doesn't take away from the playfield and is actually fun! Sound and voice work is perfect, matches up with shows humor great. Modes galore and you need to do something different for each one. Backglass is lame, so much to do with it and its just the main cast with a one color background. Seems shots to the left aren't worth going for at all...

Tons o' Fun. A little goofy, but guess what, so was Elvira. Several different modes and plenty of shots across the playfield. Great art package as well. I would put some LEDs under the inserts to brighten it up a bit.

Loved this when it came out. Now it just seemed pretty boring. 6 shots on the board, that's it. And they all mirror the other sides shot. Love the screen, implemented well. Fun to play for a trip down memory lane, but more than one game would have been too much.

Truly let down by this one. Love the theme but not done well. Shots are boring, gameplay is boring. Didn't like at all, could have been done well but wasn't.

Not a very deep ruleset. Great backglass and Maybe the best animations for a gottlieb system 3. Playfield art was a bit sparse.

I really wanted to love this one because of the theme, but it ain't all that great. Theme is awesome and well done but game isn't that much fun, not too much to do on this one. I think the playfield is a bit too open...but Freddy is still pretty damn cool! Will always drop a quarter into this one.

Pretty fun game. Maybe the worst music of all time, no variation at all. Some callouts, but not many, a few multiballs, but not too much scoring outside of multiball. Nice art package.

Surprisingly fun game. Great ramps. I guess the theme is done well, when u have a dinosaur on a tube you can't expect much. Played it a few times and came back for more! It's fun pinball, not very deep, but worth a few spins.

Well, maybe the worst backglass ever. The playfield art is equally terrible. Playfield layout ain't too bad. Overall not too much fun, Hard to find , but not worth seeking out.

Getting the lock off the plunge is huge. Makes all the difference. Very satisfying to get several ramps in a row. Themed perfectly. Don't like how close some ramps are too flippers, middle seems all jammed up. Still fun but dont get why there is so much love for it.

Artwork is top notch. Game is fun...not my cup of tea, but absolutely a well done game...

Edit: after playing a few more times I enjoy the game, nice modes and a lot of risk/reward moves in this one. Still not a huge fan because of the theme but the layout is top notch.

While it does look pretty amazing, it wasn't all that much fun. Played 3 machines in one day...they all broke at some point. Scoring seems random...some things worth 5000....others worth 10 points...scoring could use a redo.

Awesome game! Plays nearly perfect. Ramps are silky smooth. Great playfield lighting, great but not overly bright...just right. Had a lot of fun on this, easy to grasp yet hard to master.

Loved the layout, shots were very fun. Love the way the flippers are set up. Easily the best part of the game, really liked how they fired back up at the moving target...which is also very cool. Theme could have been done better, backglass is kinda lame but otherwise a great game. Wouldn't mind owning some day.

Scoring Is out of whack. I played this in a tourny setting and we all ending up trying to drain the outlanes since it was worth 500 points (which is a lot). Don't know if the flippers are always weak on this one but made for some very tough play. Themed poorly, but considering how poor the gameplay is the theming may be the best thing in the game.

Dual scoring is slightly unique, but balls usually last under 15 seconds so scoring is more luck than anything else.

I guess the clown is so happy cause there is some hot woman hovering over him. Pretty hard EM game. Not much fun either. Scoring is done in very small increments...many shots are 5 or 10 points. Small flippers make long shots nearly impossible. There are worse games, but this is boring and creepy...cause of the clowns of course.

Lighting and sound are top notch on this one. It is also themed perfectly with the toys and the animations, the sound is also perfect for the theme, however - they are transformers...not enough "transforming" for me.

Tons of items scattered throughout the playfield. Megatron multiball is VERY tough. I don't survive very long when I have got it.

Had to edit this...played it a bit more and it grew on me. Top left of the playfield is a bit dead, but still fun.

No game has ever been themed better than this. Scoring is awesome, you score like an NBA game! Great layout, shots all around the board. Love the animations, real NBA players and nba teams. Everything is lit perfectly, I want one!

Only downfall is some shots give you now points...if you hit a ramp and it isn't lit you wont get a "basket" and you'll have no points.

Such a lackluster and forgettable movie spawns such an awesome memorable pin! Back in the day I probably could have saved my quarters from playing this and just bought one instead. Best skill shot of all time? Possibly.

Ramps are great. Gorilla playfield is a bit overkill but all is forgiven, overall great pin.

When did Santa become a king? Always wondered that when playing this...

Poured many quarters into this one growing up. The ramp shot was always my demise. And that damn laughing jester still haunts me.

Always think this game is fun, with a cooler theme I think more people would fall in love.

Lots of drop targets...this seems to be a lost art. However the game isn't too much fun. Wasn't all that entertained. Boring upper playfield...plays as if it was put in as afterthought. Not a bad game, but not my favorite,

In short, if I ever see one for sale I would have to consider buying, lots of fun to play.

Edit: Played more recently. Sound was up and boy does that make a difference! Great sounds. Love how it changes to "50s" pinball sounds during the multiball. Way ahead of its time considering this was 1988...not too much other innovation out there.

One of the better EM machines I have played. Liked the moving target, that was cool, but it is a ball eater. Layout is nice, you don't get many instant drains like you see on many EMs. The one I played was perfect condition, think that made a difference.

Had a lot of fun playing this one. Very unique layout With the main ramp right in front of you. The casino theme at times is a head scratcher, not sure why roulette is in a murder mystery. Would love to own some day because there was plenty to do on this one. Really liked the modes and multiball was a hoot!

DMD is used well, sets up the theme nicely.

Best wide body I have played to date regardless of era. Shots galore across the playfield, sound is great and it actually varies. Upper playfield is tough to clear out and the extra ball shots are no joke, almost hit with luck only. Worth a quarter or two.

Pretty good for the time period. Timing the "pitch" is pretty damn hard and that little top flipper is no help. Nice playfield, you can hit homers and such with certain shots. You also need to score runs to win, fun two player game.

Not all that challenging. I did pretty well not knowing rules or play at all. Very lame backglass and sound that has zero to do with baseball. Fun but not worth owning.

I love AFM but this falls flat for me. The skill shoot is weird cause you have to look behind the screen to see it. I am not a fan of the shots on this game, a little repetivive. However the modes are awesome. Killing aliens, the beam mode, protecting, cities, that is all fun, but the layout could have been better.

I have also never played one that was lit well, hard to see the playfield all that well. Great theme, not too much fun though.

I had a lot of fun playing this one. Quirky theme...

The pop bumpers can give you some serious points, seems you can be up there forever if you hit the sweet spot. Flippers are barley strong enough to get up ramps which make them a challenge. Nice purple color on the ramps is inviting.

Major complaint is scoring display... very small and I am sure it is hard to read for many people.

Nice ruleset as well and pretty fun to play, I've played it on several different occasions now and still enjoy it.

Nice backglass. For an EM game this ain't too bad. Two spinners and the 4 flippers are a challenge. They take some getting used too. Drained 2 balls quick cause I didn't have the hang of it.

Drop targets are the name of the game here. I really liked the small flipper in the top left. You can rack up some serious points if you can control it up there for awhile. Very fun to play as there are lots of targets to aim at. Backglass is ugly at best...pretty much weird al on a skateboard. Worth a quarter if you ever see it.

Got a chance to play this at papa and wasn't a big fan. The gun is kinda cool, but thought the playfield wasn't that much fun in terms of cool shots. I am in the minority here, but not my favorite pin. Great theming though, artwork is fantastic along with the backglass.

Mad I played this because now I want one! One of the best pins I have ever played! So much fun. I like the spinner off the ramp...hitting it multiple times is a challenge and fun. Shots are challenging, yet not impossible. Wouldn't want to play with weak flippers, but when tuned up this is a blast. Nice theming too.

Maybe the best new era pin I have played. Lots of fun...great layout...nice toys....awesome sound.

Only minor complaint is the lights are a bit too bright at times making it hard to see...but that doesn't detract from the awesomeness.

Rules are a bit too deep for the casual player, but if HUO they would be nice.

Picked up two as restoration projects and I am absolutely keeping one of them. Great early SS Bally pin. I dare you to find a cooler, better themed backglass. Could Heff look like a bigger pimp?

The sound is also pretty damn good considering it is 1978. Great tune as you drop a quarter.

Cabinet is nice, themes in girls and pinball throughout the playfield quite well. Really needs some pink LED's to get to a truly awesome state.

Playing it is ok, not good, not bad....pretty much exactly like every other early SS pinball game...if you like the theme, you will like the playing of the game.

Fun pin, saving the princess is no easy task. So many variations of how to play the game makes it easy to play over and over. I could do without the lamp, and e music can become annoying but the game is top notch.

Backglass is great, captures the game perfectly...so does the side art...that's where the good comments stop. Completely wasted left side of the playfield...one bumper and two drain holes.

Upper playfield is ok with the mini area but u can't do much...no real shots on this one at all. Can't imagine playing more than once...boring with little rewards.

EDIT: PLayed again recently, worse than I remember.

Love the variation on this game...tons of flippers...different "rooms" in the haunted house. Thought they could have got more of the theme tied into the artwork on the playfield. Lighting could be a little bit more theme related too. Overall a very fun game to play. I would love to own some day.

Solid pinball game and always worth a few quarters. The playfield has some easy shoots, and some crazy tight ones. The music is boring, never a fan of the sound on this one. Rules are a little deeper than what it seems off the bat. Starting modes isn’t all that straight forward.

Love the call outs. Music gets so annoying you start liking it...

I was never a fan of the "trigger" to start the game off, but when you use the crane for skill shots it becomes cool. There may not be a better theme out there, the look of the playfield fits the movies perfectly. The "steel" skull in the back is a nice addition. Never thought the game was lit very well but that doesn't detract from the playing. Overall one of the best ever in terms of fun.

No surprise that this is the number one ranking. One of the Best playing pinballs out there. Sure the theme isn't the coolest in the world, but it can't take away from the perfect gameplay.

Hard to believe this game ranks as low as it does. Especially since the theme is geared towards nerdy pinball players like myself. The show is tied in nicely with the game as favorite characters are a big part of the game. Gamefield is fun to play, not challenging but still alot of fun. Good modes that tie into classic episodes.

Also, mini mode of "tooms" is awesome. Never have seen that before or since.

The truth multiball is fun, better than the filing case multiball in my opinion. Overall great game, if it had better sound it would be a 10.

I'm always a sucker for the magnet shot and this one uses it well. I could live without "Go for the Wall!", but it is a small price to pay. I am a huge fan of the artwork, think it really captures rollergaming...the side art isn't great, but backglass very cool. Plays solid and can be played by elite or rookie pinballers. One of the toughest starts to a multiball...all 3 get fired off at once!

Most impossible play is spelling "Williams" on the backbox. You need to hit 5 targets on the left to get 1 letter...that is quite a feat in itself. Spelling the entire word is nearly impossible.

I own this and am very happy to have it. I grew up playing the video game and love how that is brought into the pinball version. Having to "fight" all the players in the video game in the pinball version is very cool.

The champions challenge is NO joke. Even to trigger it is hard, then completing it is another story. You need to hit every shoot on the game in one ball! Not an easy task on 3 let alone 1.

DMD is helpful, but the graphics are below average...I take that back...Terrible. Since it was an innovative VIDEO game I expected the DMD to be better. If the DMD was better and full color this game would blow people away.

Nice change of pace, challenging and fun at the same time.

How is this not ranked higher? Probably one of the most playable pins ever. The ramps are all achievable, but still challenging. The Ferris Wheel is a great addition not scene often. The sound sometimes gets a little overplayed, but it is in tune with the theme. You can play this 30 times in a row and still want to come back.

One of the more fun pinballs out there. I love the fan, the "Storm" feature, the multiball, really nothing is lacking in this one. The spinner can be annoying but keeps the game fresh. Would love to own at some point.
