Unique theme really has appeal for me. Shot variability is good, but a little too heavily weighted to "hit the trunk" approach. Would love to add this to my collection one day.

Retro Martian invasion .. what's not to love about that! Open playfield is great for beginners who chronically shoot it up the middle and happily thrash around leading to crashing saucers and a hell of a good time. Overall the theme is so well executed it is just plain old FUN to play!

What more can be said about MM? Fantastic shots, fantastic theme with widespread appeal and extremely well executed. Highly deserving of the top spot.

What a beautiful game! Back glass and playfield artwork bring back the memories of true dungeons and dragons in its infancy stage. Game play is straightforward yet surprisingly addictive. Ramp shot looks a lot easier than it is, and it is satisfying to achieve the multiball then rack up the multipliers. Drop targets from the upper left flipper require a few quick accurate shots to knock down before they reset, which add to the urgency of the game. All in all this is a great game for its era, one of the best from the 80's.

Love the theme and the original actor call outs which is so well done. Truly immerses you in the theme which is a big part of pinball after all isn't it? Shot layouts are varied and rules are complex enough to keep you interested and thinking about strategies. Overall a great widebody, and loads of fun to play.

My fist pin ... and what a pin to start with. Forgiving for the beginners and an incredibly deep rule set to keep you coming back. The theme is so well executed with excellent call outs and sound bites. The six modes and three multiballs feel distinct from each other and keep you chasing the best stacking strategies to home in on the elusive Valinor. Definitely a great machine for home use, however needs to be balanced out with other fast ball time pins if you ever want to play with friends. Playing this pin truly immerses you in the LOTR theme and keeps you sneaking back to the basement for one more game after the wife goes to bed...
