Mike sold me an HUO WOZ ECLE - I was nervous about shipping it, but I shouldn't have been...he prepped the machine even better than I would have myself!» Read moreIt came wrapped in plastic, foam, blankets and cardboard. Everything was complete and the 2.0 light board kit shipped separately.
I could not be happier with the transaction. Buy with confidence as he is a great seller with good communication throughout the process.
Time to follow the yellow brick road!
“Mike was amazing. He made this whole process so easy for me. The machine is exactly how he described and the pictures were extremely accurate. He had it completely prepped for me in his driveway. All I had to do was load it up and was on my way. I would most definitely buy from him over and over again.”

“Great guy, very helpful and accommodating. I purchased a gently used RBION and picked it up in person. Machine was just as described in great shape! Buy or trade with RTR with confidence !”
Mike (RTR) is a fantastic seller. If you're hesitating for any reason, rest assured. His Pinside reputation precedes him; plus he's only getting positive reviews as a game seller. Check my other review (Dirty Harry). I bought TSPP and Dirty Harry from him in the same transaction.» Read moreRE: Payment... I wired Mike the money, which can be seen as extremely risky. Don't worry about Mike. He's on the level.
Packing was very thorough; a lot of cardboard wrapped around all the edges, and then saran wrap tightly wrapped around that in about 3 layers. Coin door key was in the lock, secured with a lot of blue painter's tape so it wouldn't get damaged. Shooter rod knob similarly handled... securely wrapped to prevent accidental bumps/bending in shipment.
Game(s) shipped with legs on with STI/BELTMAN... this is the method I recommend. Do not palette your games as they are under greater risk of forklift damage by guys running the forklifts in a "rolling lift" motion (explained by one of the delivery men). Much better to ship legs-on.
Game arrived in fantastic shape... much better than a "player's game." I'd say that the playfield and mechs were near mint... Homer's head doesn't wobble... it moves crisply. The nuclear towers pop without being sloppy... the flippers are very responsive (as are "unfortunately" for me as a player, the slingshots!) This includes the mini flippers, which worked better than on any TSPP I've ever played.
Garage door was a concern until I hit it; it opened fine and did what it was supposed to do. This part generally is the one that fails on most location TSPP games.
The game did have the cabinet wear--but Mike put this all out in the open before the sale... the area around the flipper buttons on both sides was extremely worn. Same with the front of the cab near the start button. Fixable with good quality decals. For the price and the condition of this game, definitely worth it.
But Mike (as an added extra) added lollipop rails to cover most of the cabinet fade without even asking if I wanted them. Didn't even have to do that, but he did. Shows what a standup guy he is.
Anyone wanting pictures of the game I will send them on request.
Buy from Mike!

Mike's a fantastic seller. The machine arrived safely and packed extremely well--cardboard wrapping the entire game along with the saran wrap very tightly and smoothly wrapped around all flat surfaces, edges, and corners.» Read moreThe coin door key was wrapped with painter's tape, still in the lock and very secure. Was worried about the gun launcher but it was well protected and securely fastened as to be expected. All mechs worked as expected; the balls were in the coin box (a pink coinbox? ;))
The machine is as advertised... very clean; the cabinet edges are sharp. The playfield is very bright and shiny... not a lot of visible wear, though some slight ball tracks (to be expected).
Under the playfield extremely clean; no visible hacks. Same with the boards... very clean. The flippers were crisp (all three); the "gun" fired with a lot of pep.
I think the game will require an NVRAM because it said that time and date needed to be set when I received it... and there were no high-scores. Not a problem. For the price, it was a good deal.
The game shipped with legs-on--and I heavily recommend doing the same. The delivery guys say that palleting the games can lead to forklift damage and that they never forklift games with the legs on.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend RTR as a seller to anyone else. In the same sale I also bought The Simpsons Pinball Party from Mike. See my other review.

Mike was amazing to work with. We did a straight up trade for a stern LE. He drove 3.5 hours with the shuffleboard on an open trailer and helped me set it up. I had 6 strong guys helping to unload this beast. Everything was super smooth and I would gladly do business again. Speaking of business, this transaction» Read moretook over a month to consummate as we had to wait for good weather and no sickness. All of this was done by basically a verbal handshake and our word given. Just like the good ole days.
