Arguably the greatest game with a garbage theme. JPOP is a crook but the very fact this game exists and is such a great playing game is testament to his creativity and talent. With a better then this game would be as much $$ as all his other games

WCS has cool toys but I have never liked the game because of it's theme and artwork.

This was my first pin and I can't see myself ever getting rid of it. I don't play competitively so I appreciate the fact that I can get pretty good ball times on this game... it's not a drain monster.
Only gripe is the Magna Save, which I think is a useless feature

I've been playing WCS for a generation now and the machine always seems to be more than the sum of its parts. I'm not a soccer fan and certainly no fan of FIFA. The crowded playfield, the odd fall offs into outlanes, the miscellaneous frustrations of idiosyncratically-tuned machines -- all of these things should drive me crazy, but I keep shoveling quarters into WCS whenever I find one. Maybe it's lovable Striker, maybe it's the nice progression through cities, maybe it's the relatively simple wizard mode, I don't know. I can never quite put my finger on it the way I can other contemporary machines. But it has had staying power for nearly a quarter century. That makes it a great machine.

I do NOT like the LED retrofits on WCS I've seen, FWIW. They are too bright and distracting; this is meant to be a pale game, not a gaudy one.

I *LOVED* this game. The shots felt great, the rules felt great, and I really enjoy soccer as well so that helps. The spinning ball is a neat toy. The ramps felt quite smooth. I also really enjoyed the incorporation of Striker. I know that a lot of folks don't like the backglass, but I loved it! The cabinet art was kind of meh, but I liked the BG. The sounds were fun, the callouts were varied and exciting, and I overall thought the game would be a keeper in a collection.

This is one of the most popular games in our game room. It appeals to more then just soccer fans. Just like how foosball is soccer themed yet draws many people. Driving the ball into the goal past the goalie is a lot of fun then topped with the machine screaming "Goal" The game has also been very reliable and looks good with LED's. Highly recommended family theme and challenging to battle against Germany in the final draw with a non-stop 4 ball multi.

Fun game took me maybe 20ish games or so to get to the final round. it's always cool to get those goal shot's in. Always forget about the magnasave. I wanted one of these for a while, but the game is a little to "easy". Seems like some of the balls last forever. I prefer games that are a little higher stress, regardless it's a fun title. Think the thing that would keep me coming back is to try to beat the 7 billion high score that someone set on it. I only hit a little over 2 billion so I got a long way to go. at least I think it's billion, I always get confused on how they score some of these games

One of our families' favorite Pin! One of the most underrated unit out there! This is of course assuming that everything works perfect and the soccer ball motor isn't loud. A must have!

WCS makes me ill.

This is really a one shot game and if the goalie is not working correctly you just score shot after shot. Still its a fun little game when properly tuned but I wish there was an alternate backglass.

A really well themed game. The goalie makes it a lot of fun with a variety of "kicks" to score. Some of the features like the magna-save and big spinning ball are lost on me. The gameplay is real easy to follow and even novice players can have a great time.

I don't know why more games don't incorporate something like the goalie (okay, maybe it's because the goalie gets thrashed) but wow is that fun. Another super family friendly game with gorgeous artwork, great callouts, fun music, reasonable depth and a nice flow.

I would like to see this higher up on the list. It takes some practice, but it is rewarding and I know I like a machine when I miss it after it leaves a location. I will miss this one.

Cool game, worth a shot

Looked campy and unimpressive, but actually very fun to play- especially for soccer fans. Was at a pinball show and this machine was constantly in use. Highly recommended, might even consider buying.

WCS is a fun game. The layout is a little congested, but it is a creative design, which I appreciate. It's far from a typical fan layout. The art is pretty terrible because of the silly dog character. The rules are fairly engaging. The scoop shot is very difficult. The goal is very satisfying. The soccer ball is a creative gimmick. Recommended, but didn't last long in my collection. Overall, it's just too easy.

The good: fun shots, funny animations(my favorite is the find Striker segment which other Bally pinball stars show up), cool sounds( airport lady announcing the city that you arrived at, male announcer saying "yellow card" and "red card" when titling. The bad: the announcing sometimes does not fit well for a soccer theme, there is NO Great Britain world cup soccer team, the magna save doesn't help much( which I guess is a good thng-makes the game harder), the back glass is weak--Bally should have had Striker the WC mascot in action pose rather than standing there. Overall if you like soccer and pinbal, it is a fun game to play and own. I overpaid but I love soccer and the guy was in my area so I had to chance to play for a bit.

I didn't think this game was going to be good. I loved it! Great gameplay and cool execution of the soccer theme. I love the assist feature and the goalie/goal scoring toys. I want to get this one in my collection. The backglass looks terrible with that stupid looking dog, and probably doesnt get rated as good as it should because of it.

One of my favourite DMD games. The playfield layout has so much flow. The goal, the magnasave, the assist kickout, all really great ideas. I wish the TV and Striker modes were randomized, but regardless it's a great game.

I scored really well on this game, but there isn't much to shoot at in the crowded playfield. Score goals is pretty easy, but a cool gimmick. The modes aren't too exciting, but it is a pretty fun game. I would play this a few times on location. My "lastability" is low, but still fun to play for a few games, then move on to the next game.

I just picked up a "Players Condition" WCS 94' and once I got it tuned, WOW... exactly what you want in a Pinball Machine. The build quality compared to what Stern's churns out is night and day difference. All the toys, gimmicks, magnets, and "FUN" factor's of this game make it so great! When lit with LED's, the machine is a whole different animal and one that draws peoples attention from across the room. The bang for your buck game of the year as of 2017 for me. This machine should be rated MUCH higher than it is but due to theme, most collectors shy away from the title. I am not a big fan of soccer either... but it is a dream machine when it come to a Pinball FUN. Pick one up today if you can!

I remember this game from my high school days and always loved it. I bought it about a year ago but wanted to wait to have it in my collection for a while before rating it.

Positives: love the layout and gameplay. Getting to the World Cup is challenging and really fun when you finally get there. While shooting the ball into the goal is pretty easy, there are some difficult shots (final draw, strikers hideout) as well. This is also consistently the favorite of my five pinball machines when I have visitors (both children and adults).

Negatives: I never seem to use the magma save button. I agree with the others about the artwork on the back glass. I actually bought an alternate, but ended up putting the original back because it just didn't feel right.

The playfield seemed crowded. I do not like soccer but this was fun to play. My kids and wife and kids liked it.

Great party game even if it is a really hilarious implementation of soccer, can't help but laughing every time I play it. It's just so far off from the sport you could get really, but fun nonetheless. Great action! Unfortunately it's let down by being way too easy to complete so it does not last at home. But for a party night this is a great pinball machine.
