Noteworthy features

  • Gun instead of a plunger
  • Playfield swing-out cannon
  • Silver endoskeleton with red eyes that light up!
  • Swear roms are available for the game. Chris Granner was able to get some wisecracks from Arnold. The result of these recordings made it to home roms.

Trivia

  • Terminator 2 was Williams' second machine with a dot matrix display, and featured pinball's first dot-matrix video mode!
  • Steve Ritchie is one of George Gomez's heroes and mentors. It's no surprise that T2 is Gomez's personal favorite pinball machine.
  • According to Steve Ritchie's interview in The Pinball Compedium, he first had the idea for the rotating cannon from Terminator 2 back in the late 70s.
