You want Play again and again. Love the Art and the easy Game

A simple game with basic goals (plunge over a bonus multiplier and knock down the 5-bank, pretty much), but an open playfield makes it fun to shoot with a lot of long shots and fast up/down movement. The aforementioned drops can be swept two, three, or even four at a time from the top left flipper, which is always fun. Really could have used a spinner or something else to shoot for, like a better way to get back up to the important rollover lanes. You can get back there via a long upper right shot through a gate back to the shooter lane, it just would have been nice to have a quicker way there.

The art is comic booky '70s sci-fi, maybe a little generic in that style. You can't go wrong with electric horses. Color scheme is loud, primarily red and yellow.

Great looking machine, backglass is one of the best of this era. Very bonus heavy rules, and not a ton of shots but still a fun fast game. It’s my favourite looking system one, but there a better layouts.

This is my second system 1 game. Right away I found the gameplay challenging. After replacing the rubbers, waxing the Playfield, and adjusting the leg levellers the game play was way better. A very straightforward game with amazing artwork. A solid system 1 game.

At first I didn't enjoy the game. Now I find myself playing it daily. Bonus heavy, fun, and challenging with that double flipper. Replay value is there, when not draining through the scissor flippers. Yes, basic but great for casual play without intense rule set. Remember the age.

Love this game a lot. I like how the bonus actually gives you a lot unlike the other more modern games (Evan the ones I like don’t give you a reason to try not to tilt. I love the classic pinball sound on this game.

Another game that rates highly for me in the area of visual appeal. Maybe one of my favorite backglasses.
I was tripped up more than once with the left side double flippers -- amazing how many times the ball sneaks in to drain between the two. Drops, rollovers, and kickout saucers rule the day on this game. Achieving and multiplying your bonus is key to a good score.

When I first bought this table I figured it would be a nice cheap system one game for the kids, I did not realize the level of skill shots required to keep the game going. Wax it up and get a good incline and the ball has a ton of action on it, flying around the table and bouncing off of the bumpers. Without the multiplier you will not score much no matter how long you play so that is key. A great game to introduce someone to pinball, a minute to explain the goals of the table and then watch them go.

This is the first machine that I purchased and I am pretty happy with it. The gameplay does get a bit repetitive and the game is very bonus heavy. Like everybody else mentioned, it's pretty easy to max out your bonus at 20k and multiplier at 5x, collect it, then build your bonus back up again.

There are not many shots, but the gameplay is still fun. There are a few random rollover targets, two kick-outs, a rollunder, a set of pop bumpers, the bonus multiplier rollovers above the pop bumpers, and the set of drop targets. The game could have benefited from another set of drop targets or a spinner. I can play this game for awhile and still not feel bored with it.

Aside from building your bonus, the other thing to aim for would be the drop targets. Knock down the 4 white ones and then the red one right in the middle awards you a Special. This is a fun target to try and hit as it can be difficult to hit only the white ones at first.

I think the best part of this machine is the artwork. The color scheme is vibrant and exciting. The backglass art is very well down and looks great when lit up. The playfield also features some great art and carries the color scheme through-out.

It seems like a fairly simple machine to service, so definitely a good one for a first time owner. As it's my first one, I would recommend it to anybody looking for their first pin.

When I first bought it I thought it needed more drop targets and it looked like they wasted a big chunk of space up the top right side. Since owning one for a while, I still think so but I also enjoy the game play and find it very challenging, fast and enjoyable. I love the look of the cabinet, back glass and play field.

Solar Ride is a great looking game from Gottleib.

The Pros:
Gordon Morrison put together one of his best art packages on this deck. Pinks, oranges, yellows, purples and blues are vibrantly composed on all surfaces. The girl riding the buckin' bronco is holding a wrench. I don't know why... but that is the coolest thing on a BG that I have seen in a long time. Much better than a red button on Lawlor's games. The playfield is laid out nicely and has lots of different shots to consider. The lower PF reminds me of my Harlem Globe Trotters released just a few months before. The saucers and the extra ball gate are all tough shots (esp from the double flippers). Getting bonus x from the lit lane at the top requires good nudging skills. Double flippers on the left keep your attention on high alert. Dropping all the drops other than the middle target and then scoring it is a cool feature. Scoring bonus from the left saucer is always rewarding.

The Cons:
This game is UTTERLY BONUS HEAVY. Between bonus X, the rollovers and the upper saucer, you can get to 20k/5x over and over and over and over... which I love, Unfortunately, the bonus count down takes forever (bloop, bloop, bloop, bleep, bleep, bleep) and once you start scoring 100k a shot, there is nothing else to do on this table. Can be too easy to roll. This game needs a spinner like few others.

The Takeaway:
Getting to 20k 5x is fun. But that's it. A simple but challenging bonus collect design is one of my favorite types of decks. How can a game like this become so... dull? I don't know... but this game is. Set this game up steep, wax it fast and open up your outlanes. Otherwise it may look great, but will probably not challenge you in the long run.

Fun casual playing game. Nice system 1, especially if you throw in a Pascal board, skill shots, high scores, light show.....Makes it a more complete game, but I rated it as it is factory wise.
