pinball 2000 is the best TOY ever. It was the next level in pinball. This game has way more going for it than AFM does any day.

The game is overall very entertaining with all of the video content that it contains but that becomes a problem in itself because you get distracted by it. The integration idea alone is incredible but seemed more like a video game instead of pinball.

This was the first 2000 system I played and was surprised how it worked. Kinda neat with the video screen. Many of the challenges are the same as the original, so it's easy to figure out what to do. The play field is really dark and hard to follow the ball at times. I can understand why Bally started building these in order to advance pinball technology - and the game is fun - I just prefer more traditional pins.

I guess this is a "love it or hate it" pin, and I love it. RFM definitely gets the most play at my parties. It's fairly linear and mode-based, as are many 90's pins. Sound quality is excellent, even with the stock speaker. RFM is a steal at $2500, less than half the price of its older brother. Plus it's just cool owning a part of pinball history. It's beautiful too, with the Youssi / Freres artwork.

Gameplay is great, a lot like AFM but with interactive targets - I love splatting Martians. The humor in the modes is great to me. Maintenance is easier than DMD pins, but the computer scares me. I bought a spare Cyrix CPU, because I don't want to spend the $$$ to upgrade to NuCore. Board-level repair all the way!

I wanted to like it. The monitor takes up half the playfiled and the ball disappears behind it. The graphics on the monitor, especially the text, looks cheap and dated. The explosions are cool and the animations are fine, just old. Did not age as well as DMD animations. Huge machine. Had no desire to go further in the game. One game pin for me.

Nice flow, great lightshow and sounds make this game a pleasure to play. A couple times anyway. It gets easy quick once you understand the table rules and its depth is washed out by the repeated ramp shots that make every mode seem the same. Still a keeper overall in my book, but we'll see how long that opinion stands. RFM seems to be growing in popularity, I speculate that this is in part due to its sister game, SWEp1, being completely annoying (IMO) with the over-inclusion of Jar Jar and li'l baby Anakin (ugh). LEDs make RFM prettier than a Christmas tree in Times Square.

I really wanted to like this game. Great gimmick with the monitor. Just too dark. That simple. Really didn't work.
It's still pinball and maybe more could have been done if they continued.

To this day I find this to be the most technologically advanced pinball machine and it is such a shame that the Pinball 2000 platform ended. This game is personally in my top 15.

A lot to do, great music, great art, satisfying shots, just on the whole a fun top game. Also, it is just so different from other machines that it fits well in any collection. Many people say you need a big collection for an RFM, I disagree - in my collection of four games at the moment RFM sees a lot of regular action. Guests love this game as well.

Would this have been more fun if it was a regular size playfield? I would like to think so because I really like the idea of the animations above the field and the great graphics they had going with it. I love how modular the game is to take apart and transport but center ramp shot, center ramp shot, center ramp shot kills it for me

If you are not an oldschool pinball player, this is the shit! Its Hard to beat it the way up through Mars and its a lot of fun. The rules are so simpel, that even non pinball players and children know instantly what to do. I love the Theme (Mars Attacks!), the lovely 90s graphics, the funny speech etc...
The 3d effect with the buld in CRT is an eyecatcher in every collection

Lighting is very poor but it cant be too bright because of the video. After playing it for a while, its like the same shots over and over again. Overall ,its a must have pinball to have in your collection but its not one I keep going to . The sound is the best of all pinballs that I have.

game is in the office garage for the past month.
i have to agree with most, after a while the game is repetitive and borderline boring.
it feels like the game was not 100% finished. but the game animations, sounds, artwork and look is pretty damn good and it's a very fun game.
it's on my wishlist but won't go crazy if i don't own one.

I've wavered on pinball 2000.. I like pinball because it does crazy things a computer still can't copy on a screen. I guess it's more useful than a dot matrix screen that you hardly look at while playing.

Fun for a few turns but I just don't think I could pay top dollar for a Pin2000, more of a game to play a few at an arcade.

Very fun game overall, not deep and get's repetitive, would be great in a large collection, would become stale in a small 2-5 game collection.

Super Fun Pin.. I read the G.Gomez and Pat Lawlor designed RFM ,( 1st Comment on IPDB ) . For me RFM has Better Shot's and More to do than AFM. The Monitor with All the animation and mode's make RFM a Blast.. I want to say More , but i need to Play it 50 ore times.. Will Edit later .B_R

This is a fun game with a unique addition. Besides the playfield there is a monitor that shines down to give a 3d look to the animations. I currently own one of these and love playing it.

I know it isn't like a classical pin, but darn, it was fun. Enough like AFM to be a separate machine but also stand on it's own merits. I want one!

Such an underrated game. Attractive to both new and long time pinball players (especially great for getting new people into pinball). This pin will be in my collection for a very long time, great variety in scoring/completion, very funny audio, and great light show. Add in an Ultimarc VGA amp and the UFO mod and machine absolutely pops.

If you like video games and pinball this is a must have. Pinball by itself - my book still a must have. This is such an innovative pinball machine I really wish they had a chance to make more games on the platform. Everyone who comes over is drawn to the machine to play it. Part of history but really high in the fun factor for me. Some pinball purists scoff at it - I say just play it and decide for yourself. Really fun and humorous pin. Just think for us pinheads, if they kept making games on this platform we could all own 20 pins - just swap out the playfields!!

This one is alright. The arcade I play in has this AND Attack From Mars, and I don't see why anyone would play this over AFM. All of the ideas and themes are the exact same, the screen animations are okay at best, and the playfield on it is just 'dark' and shots at the top of the table are very hard to even see where they are or what's happening. It's a decent play, but it really offers nothing special or addicting to me, which is in absolute contrast to AFM, which is my favorite game.
