Played this game a lot in an arcade in Italy. Great music, cool shots and a lot to see and do. By far the best feature is the sinki äng ship, but i also like the whirlpool in the upper left corner and the big treasure chest on the right. Play this game if you are a fan of the series, you won't regret it

This is a fun game with a unique layout. Overall, the cab artwork and playfield artwork are great. The translite artwork is decent, but it's the weakest part of the art package. If you're a fan of the theme and/or Disney, it's hard to be disappointed by the way this machine looks. The callouts are fun and the music fits the theme perfectly. My wife is a huge Johnny Depp fan and she has no idea that call outs are from an impersonator.

If you're a fan of flow heavy and fast playing games, this probably won't ever be your favorite pin. However, the layout is unique and there are lots of really fun shots to hit. This pin is all about catching the ball and aiming for the shots to set up huge jackpots. It's pretty intense and rewarding when you max out your jackpots and playfield multipliers and then start one of the 3 multi-ball modes. The code feels polished and there's a decent amount of depth to it. Achieving the wizard mode is a bit of feat and does require some grinding. The ship toy is executed perfectly and it's easily one of my favorite pinball toys ever. Watching the ship sink into the playfield always impresses guests.

All in all, this is a really fun game that feels very polished and has a unique feel. Fans of the theme or fans of slower/methodical playing games will not be disappointed.

Great game with great toys! Definitely some unique features in the play field. My only complaint is that it plays a little slower than I normally like.

I like this game. Owned it a few years back. Hitting the ship is the highlight of the game. It takes a beating. Went thru 2 while I owned it. Although I do like this game, it does get very easy after awhile. I would absolutely play on location, but after owning it for a couple years it got a bit boring. Overall it is fun though.

I love the overall combination of this game. Have some nice bright LEDs and everything is easy to see. Love all the sounds and call outs and having 3 different toys. It is a must to get the air deflector mod to get rid of the sneeze guard. I like more of a start and stop game as I like to try and control shots and enjoy looking up at the DMD at times . Those that hate stop and start will not like this game.

Next to TZ my favorite pin for overall categories.

Great theme. A good game for everyone. Sinking the ship and the multiball modes are all well done. Game can be set up tough so game times don't get too long. Who doesn't like Pirates with attitude.

Long playing game that gets pretty repetitive after a while ... IMO. :)

I really love all things pirate, and as a result have played PoTC quite a lot. Sadly, the game is quite easy and I often find myself getting bored on the third ball - there's only so many times I can sink the dauntless and feel excited about it. I may eventually get around to owning one because I think it has a wide audience appeal, but this one is definitely not a must have for me.

For every rating category, I just kept coming to the rating of "Decent 4/6". It's a decent pin, even better if you're looking for a title that can be enjoyed by all ages. It didn't have staying power for me since it seems a bit plodding and methodical rather than fast & full of flow.

Ball times are too long.

Great game, some of Sterns best playfield toys and the JACK ramp is such a sweet shot/ramp to hit especially backhanding it from the right flipper.

They really nailed the pirate theme with this one. The sinking ship is awesome and one of the best toys I've ever seen. There are a lot of shots to hit and lots to do. The more I play this one the more I enjoy it (and I don't even like the movies)!

Very nice artwork and one of the best toy: the ship i fantastic! But it's not my pin: a lot of stop and go, and no flow. A good theme thrown away

Very underrated game. Ship is an amazing mech. Very well conceived in total. Can get a bit repetitive once you are familiar with it.

good deep rule set, nice layout, fun toys. overall a great family pin. Ball times can be long or very short, not a particularly easy game to get through, but it's definitely possible and a ton of fun trying. Theme integration is done well.

I played it several times on location, and... It didn't work on me. It's quite an interesting machine, and many people seemed to enjoy it, but to me, nothing worth emptying my pockets.

Really like the theme and the ship. It's pretty fun to play. The only bad thing in my mind is that the flow isn't as good as my highest rated pins. Nevertheless, I wouldn't mind having this in my collection.

I purchased this game specifically because of the slower pace, anticipating pointing beginners in the game's direction. While it does have a different feel as far as speed goes, it has turned in to a very entertaining, zero anxiety purchase. This game is played full spectrum in my home -- 8 years to 52 years. POTC has definitely been seeing as much playing time as Lord of the Rings.

Played a decent copy of this. stop and go deluxe in my opinion. It's a good example of a theme being force fed. I'd rather not have a pinball machine if this was my only choice

Played this at a pinball expo and really like it. I haven't seen the movie, but the pin is lots of fun. I would add it to my collection.
