I am not a huge golf fan and avoided this pin because of it. Played it at a friend's place and quickly seen why this game is worthy of a top spot in the rankings. Its a great pin with lots of interesting shots and fun callouts with Buzz and Bud taunting you every step of the way. bashing the gophers is quite satisfying and the hole in one shot has to be one of the most difficult yet satisfying shots in pinball. Great game for the whole family and would not disappoint.

A decent pin with good flowing long shots. The slam ramp is well integrated and the pop up gofer blocks are great fun to hit. It does not have a deep rule set and I can see it getting repetitive in a small collection. The pop bumpers are ill placed.

Great family game and much different pace than most. Must have for a serious collector.

Good title. Not sure it's worthy of the very high ratings it gets, but it's got decent staying power and is aesthetically pleasing.

Played for the first time last night. Played 5 games. Mia's really fun to play. Not sure of the last ability, but great theme.

Ever since I found this game in Pinball Arcade it's been one of my most fav games to play. It's just so fun and interactive, the gophers always make me smile and smacking them is always satisfying. It's a simple enough set up, get the ball in the right spot with a low score to get a big score (that sound weird if you don't know golf) The gophers are both fun and have quite distinct voices and personality's.

They always have some snark to spew out and the animations it plays are also quite fun to see. It is fun but not overly easy. Scoring a hole in one is by far the hardest thing to do but it doesn't punish you for missing. you can even skip holes. If you like snarky smack talking gophers you will quite enjoy this.

This has become the one game I play when I need a smile. They always prove they can cheer me up while trying to be mean.

Haven't had it for long but I'm really enjoying it so far. The slam ramp and driving range really add to the game, adding another level to shoot for. It's got a lot of classic Lawlor traits, which is a plus or minus depending on what else you have in your collection. Hole in one shot is fun, but seems to be mostly lucky shots off the golf cart. Love the zydeco music, and the music for the dance party mode is good. Captive ball is easy to activate, even with glancing blows to it. Gopher shots are enjoyable, but they can lead to drains on the rebounds. As has been mentioned it is a bit on the noisy side with the slam ramp and gophers adding a lot of mechanical noise. Sand trap shot is a gimmee, and the jet bumpers are a waste except for during multiball as they can keep a ball or two tied up while you are making shots with balls that are not in bumpers.

I'm sure this will be a hit with non-pinheads when we have our next party.

I want to like this game and I've given it many tries but I just can't seem to get into it. I'm not a golfer and I'm not a gopher so the theme really doesn't appeal to me at all. Maybe someday that will change.

This is one of the best all-around pins of all-time - a game for both novice and expert, young and old. Pure fun. This was Pat Lawlor's response to being a little too esoteric and over-the-top with TZ... There is a lot of his best designs in this game... Whirlwind (spinning disk); TAF (speed and flow)... Perhaps the most unique (and hardest) shot in all of pinball - the hole-in-one. The Zaidico themed music is one of the best tracks of all time. Only 2k made. If you can get your hands on one of these, do not hesitate.

Absolutely love this pin. Has a great feel to the game and the flow is awesome. Box and translite artwork is top notch and ageles. Plexiglass 2nd playfield is very unique. Buzz and Bud (the 2 gofers) are hilarious with their callouts. This machine is exceptional.

Picked up at Dallas expo auction. Extraordinary game. The gofer popups, call outs, animation, rule set, hole in one shot all add up to a very strong game. This is a game that should be in every collector's collection - even if they aren't into golfing. I actually got a custom Byron Nelson golf classic version done by Pinbalz for the TV show, 'American Choppers'. The auctioneer did a poor job of 'selling' the crowd and I got this for a very good price.

Wow! Great flow. Good game for all ages. I really don't care about golf(ing) and never ever done it, but I think the theme is more about wacky gophers than plain golfing. Game is great for all ages. A lot of humour also for all ages two-minded "wrong hole" comments from the two gophers. So many solenoids on this game and a lot of maintenance issues. Floating ramp is cool feature among (lucky) shot "hole-in-one". Cartoonish playfield art suits nicely for the theme and I like the cabinet art too. This pinball machine should not be taken so seriously. Giving low ratings for golf-theme? Come on, even their (gophers) golf cart is rocket propelled! Very entertaining game!! Give it a try or if possible get one soon! Good bang for the buck machine.

I absolutely love this game. So much awesomeness packed into that little playfield. Excellent multiplayer game. This is my favorite 2nd favorite Lawlor title. The game carries a lot of variation as the golf courses change daily. I've noticed if you wait and watch the credits roll thru it'll tell you which course it is on for that day. This means that different pars for different holes and the drive shots are in different locations. There are so many modes in this game and it always seems to be some randomly different. In this game is by no means and easy win. Very challenging to get to the end, then playing the back nine. Overall, a phenomenal ruleset. Its funny getting insulted by the Gophers but beating them up is sweet revenge! Bud and Buzz! Ha

This is a table that you aren't likely to play once or twice and entirely understand, as the rules take a bit to grasp. Sure, simple enough, it's golf -- but if you can get a lot of hole in ones or low stroke holes, you'll earn a lot more points. As with many tables, a key to this table is to earn multiball. If you can manage that and keep the balls in play for awhile, you'll quickly build up your score. When I first played this table I didn't really care for it because I found it annoyingly difficult for some reason. After giving it a few games, I actually like it a lot. The table looks a little "kiddy" but I like the feel of it as a whole. The gofers are obnoxious and a bit annoying, but that's what helps make this table so memorable. The loop (or are they called "orbit"?) shots are satisfying to hit, and although it's a rarity, hitting the hole-in-one spot at the top right of the table is a great feeling. A slightly underrated, very fun and competitive table to play.

Great theme. It's a fun pin, but it gets old fast in a small collection. The Hole-in-One shot is one of the greatest shots in all of pinball! If you're a golf nut, add it to your collection.

This game just didn't do it for me at all mainly because golf is never a game that I have even partially understood. The playfield to me is way to busy and has to many items on it leaving the ball to disappear and then you don't know where it went or where it's going to go to. The rule set is to deep and I could not figure out where I was supposed to shoot the ball because of that.

Very fun game! I never thought I will own one as I am not a golfer, but ended up playing this at a friends and really got into it. Now it is one of my favorite games. Fun flow and music, the gofers are more fun to hit that the trolls on MM. :-)
