My go to pinball place just changed their line-up and replaced Scared Stiff with Monster Bash. I was excited to finally get to play a top 5 rated game. I am now wondering if the rating system here is worth looking at anymore. Game looks great but stops there.
Shots are not that interesting, the call outs are lame, and the voices are annoying.
I am sorry. Scarred Stiff should be #1 if this is a top 5. I haven't played MIDEVAL MADNESS but wonder if it's any good.
I played 4 games and walked away, wishing SS was still there. Thankfully they added a Walking Dead too.

first time I played this game and was very disappointed ....shots are repetitive and really have nothing good to say ......

Monster Bash is a rather fun game, although it gets old quickly. Preparing for a big stack that will allow you to get to Bash and Rock is rather fun and can feel really intense, however since Bash and Rock are so easy to get to, it starts to lose its effect, and just begins to feel boring.

The game also can get boring for tournament due to repetive strategies like Creature all day and Mosh Pit all day being viable.

As far as casual approachability, though, this game is great because of its many toys, great art, and great sound.

Defiantly in my top 5. I WILL OWN ONE SOME DAY ! ! !

Just dropped a $500.00 deposit on a Monster Bash Remake Limited Edition! I can't wait!!!! I will update my rating after placing it in my collection and the honeymoon is over. But in the meantime......every time I hunt down one of these in the wild I log a few more games on it! MB is just a fun pinball (period).

Terrific pin with all the bells and whistles. The high price reflects collector thoughts on this machine. Universal monsters is a favourite of mine so the theme for me is fantastic and displayed with perfect playfield and cabinet art. One pin that's mod free, Williams has added every mod you need from factory. Sounds and gameplay is fantastic making it top 3 of all time.

Finally in my collection. Just outstanding! Good rules, challenging but not impossible. A real crowd-pleaser with excellent art, theme and call-outs. A true masterpiece in my book.

I love this game, and have had the opportunity to play two different machines. While it can get a bit repetitive, I still enjoy it. I think the ruleset could be a little bit deeper, but it is still challenging to complete all the modes.

Just too over the top for me. There are too many busy things happening for some one like me that is a very novice player

Another fabulous pinball table... the premise? Get monsters together to rock out and get massive scores in the process. This is a very simple table to learn how to play, as seemingly a shot from anywhere will help advance you to the Bash, making it possible for even the noobest of noobs to manage a billion point score on this table. This table doesn't play super fast, but it does have its moments -- as a whole though, it seems to cater to pinballers of any skill level. I enjoy everything about this table, from the sounds, music, table design/layout... all of it's a blast. Extra balls are also pretty easy to be had on Monster Bash, so expect to be playing for quite awhile once you start a game. Once you get the Bash going, you get millions of points for hitting the band members with balls, and points rack up fast. This is a super satisfying table that must be experienced by any pinball lover of any skill level.

A great looking machine. If you ever have the chance to play a completely restored MB you'll see just how amazing this thing can look. The call-outs and sounds are great I really love the music track on this one. With all the cool toys and great looks of this machine I hate to say that it falls flat on it's face in the rules and depth department. There isn't a whole lot to do for experienced players and it becomes a real snooze fest when you get past all the sweet looking toys and overall beauty of the machine. It's pretty easy lighting the gang up for MB then onto MOR. After you hit this it's pretty much down hill from there you've seen it all and it doesn't take much effort after you get the shots down. With EBs on you can rack those up pretty easy if you know what you're shooting for. I'd say the most challenging part of MB is trying to hit Lyman's Lament legit.

With over 100 games on this machine I feel like it's a tad overrated. Apparently it's possible to get into the top 5 on aesthetics alone. That's why I don't think it belongs there. Any game rated in the top 5 needs to be solid all the way around and I just don't think MB has the staying power when you really start to grind some games on it....

My favorite pin. Wish I could afford one. Played it one night on a trip to Breckenridge, CO 15 years ago and have thought about it ever since.

Poor Rules.
Too easy for advanced players.
Nice toys and flow, but overall boring.
Nice artwork.
Too expensive.

This is a really fun machine with an amazing theme. Collecting all the monsters and instruments to put the band together requires a variety of shots all over the playfield. The various modes are entertaining and they offer a decent amount of variety. The rule set is a little bit shallow and games can last a long time. It's easier to get to the wizard mode on this machine than on many other machines, but it's a small complaint against a great game.

This one of the best looking machines and the artwork on the playfield, backglass, and cabinet all look amazing. The speech and call outs are all well done and there is a ton of variety. The animations look great and are funny and entertaining. This game has a tremendous amount of polish and it's one that both newbies and experienced pinball players can enjoy. This is a great playing machine that has one of the best themes and some of the best artwork in pinball.

The theme is one of the best ever. Take the Universal monsters and put them in a rock band. Once the idea was hatched, it had to make the rest of the design a cinch. Callouts are hilarious and memorable. The music is catchy. All of the toys are very good. The shots feel great but the code may lack a little depth. It's not easy to get the second wizard mode but the first one will get repetitive. One of my favorites for the theme integration.

If I could own one game this would be it. its fun simple as that. the play field is a bit crowded and this is not a fast flow game, but it has shots! lots of shots, you always have a clear mission. great game

Great game, I still have a blast playing it. The game is full with toys and gimicks, and the theme is incredibly well incorporated in the game. The frankenstein multiball is well thought out and can be used to stack in other monster modes. I still haven't beaten it, but I'm getting closer!

Lots of modes, good sounds, music & call-outs, good humor, and challenging to complete. A fun game overall.

As a Universal Monster Fan this is the perfect pin for me.

It's rules and layout are very similar to MM & AFM but that's not a bad thing.

This game gets it. It takes a theme, wraps it around a solid game with some depth and progression mixed in with enough randomness to keep you guessing. Music builds with progress and the payoff when you get the bad back together is awesome. Always puts a smile on my face despite the comedic theme, which is typically a turn off for me. Will have this one in the collection, no doubt.
