Metallica is quite a fun game with the basic rules being easy to learn, while having deeper shots for more serious players. Sparky is a cool addition with his bobbling head and the shots are fun to make. The dmd animations are great and all the multiballs are fun. Not the deepest ruleset, which I generally prefer, but the multiballs and shots are too fun to gloss over. Solid game overall.

Easily the best Pinball I’ve ever played and I’ve owned many top tier pins. Mind you I’m sporting the Refinery edition Pro and I’ve modified the song list to suit my tastes. Upgraded speakers and subwoofer a must! Pure addiction. Impossible to just play one game!

Great game. i love the layout and the gameplay. i can recognize the same creativity of Lyman then in TWD
Very addictive pinball. the art is top notch
i was reluctant to buy this one as i don't like the music but it's possible to change it and so i'm very happy with this pin. i think i'm holding my third keeper with TWD and MM

The artwork shines here - very good. Neat grave cascading target shots. Nice and fast gameplay.

To me, "Aerosmith", "KISS" and "Metallica" are pretty much the same table. I played this one at a local bar. Three games. There wasn't anything that really stood out to me except for Sparky getting zapped. That sequence along with the drain sequence is neat. But there really isn't much to it. Nothing groundbreaking, nothing "different". Stern's "AC/DC" is still the end-all/be-all of "rock band pinball" to me. Compared to that table, anything else is just a quickee meant to capitalize on a recurring theme.

I picked up an LED pro a few weeks ago and I can't get enough. I'm still learning all the modes. Just a great game. I'm still looking for something comparable to add to the collection. I know it's all been said before, but this is truly a great game.

I play it when its around but never for more then a game or two not sure why.

Honestly, this game should get a 10 out of 10 just for bringing back in-line drop targets! This is the pin I always play on location, even though I am not a huge Metallica fan.

A game I never thought I'd own, and one I kinda avoided for the last three years. Well, once I came back to give it a try finally I instantly fell in love. The fan layout is by far my fave, and it's similarities to Attack From Mars made it an instant classic for me. Not a fan of the new Metallica music but was a huge fan when I was a kid, so I'm glad the majority of the tunes are classics. The center shot is a dream and the left ramp is such a huge challenge to hit consistently. I am now an owner and a believer, and understand why this shot up the top 100 charts as fast as it did. It truly is one of the funnest games of all modern pinball!

A great modern pin with good sound and great looking art. Plays really well and nothing is lost between the le/premium and the pro machine.

The best pinball by stern!

Awesome music from a great band really puts this one in front out of all the "music pins". Sparky as a toy is cool, I do feel like the game could have had a little less of a cartoony feel and more of a badass theme. The flow is nice and the different shots are great when you get rotating ramps. I like the unpredictability of the cross shots and I rarely see sparky fire a cheesy shot down right down the guts like in Aerosmith.

Overall the Pro is a good value for dollar but To step this up to the level it really deserves Master of Puppets LE is the true king of music Pinball machines

One of the Sterns where the Pro loses nothing to the LE/Premium.

- artwork is outstanding. i love the hand-drawn stuff.
- love the metal ramps.
- great flow. very smooth.
- nice rules. lots to do. game does not get stale fast.

- not a fan of the band. i know this is subjective, but hey that's what rating a game is about. sorry.
- very cheap in terms of toys and mechs. a pin needs more than just a bobble head.
- shot layout is as vanilla as a layout can be. no weird or original shots at all. i feel like if there was ever a "default" to start from when designing a game, this would be it. cmon, add some flavor!

one of Stern's best, and a very fun game, but not quite a top tier pin because of the pedestrian shot layout and the lack of interactive toys.

If you're a fan of Metallica's music, then look no further for a game that exemplifies the "band pinball" theme. I would rate it right up there with AC/DC as far as games that are as fun to listen to as they are to play.

The song selection is right out of Metallica's wheelhouse; no garbage from "Re-load" here!

The game flows very fast, and has a great wide-open playfield. Getting to the minor wizards modes isn't a tremendous challenge, but getting to End of the Line is no joke; just as a game should be in my opinion.

Obviously the center stage toy is Sparky, and seeing the toy get electrocuted along with the hilarious callouts is always a delight.

If you have small children playing in the arcade, I would make sure that the "Adult" mode is turned off or make sure to tell your kids to earmuff whenever Lars starts F-bombing you!

There are so many fun shots on Metallica Pro, yet, it seems difficult to really bring a game together. The more I play this metal-loving champ, the more convinced I am that it belongs in tournament play beside GoT and other games with complex, progressive rule sets. Even if there aren't a lot of shots to fall in love with on this table, it is nevertheless a lot of fun to play - and, I'm a sucker for in-line drops, so bonus points there.

There aren't many band games that I'd like to have in a personal collection, but Metallica is the first on the list. Great fun to play!

I LOVE Metallica as a band so I might be a little biased. I've been listening to them since I was a freshman in high school (1992). I have the MET Pro LED version. The MET pinball machine is near perfection IMO. Like others have said over and over the ruleset is just amazing on this game and probably Sterns most polished game in terms of code and depth. Its loud, it plays extremely fast and is amazing to look at! Me and my friends cant get enough of it. I plan on never getting rid of it.
