Noteworthy features

  • The game features a symmetrical playfield with Left/Right A & B paths and individual 4 bank drop targets for each side.
  • Some original, and all reproduction backglasses feature an inscription on the dagger reading "Meine Ehre heißt Treue" ("My honor is loyalty"). This was the motto of the SS troops in WWII, and a paraphrase of an Adolf Hitler speech from 1931, which took place a full 14 years after Mata Hari was executed.
  • Due to the popularity of reproduction backglasses, the common “no motto” original backglass in perfect condition has become much more rare than the (formerly rare) backglass “with motto”version.
  • Several versions of the machine were made including EM and Solid State versions as well as machines which feature an experimental plastic playfield.
  • Some machines received a Susan B. Anthony $1 center coin slot with a special Bally coin door label which differs from the normal Bally coin door label with center coin slot blanking plate.
