Hi Jay,
I got a call from a German Pinball Enthusiast, who gave me your e-mail adress, to get in contact with you.
I am very impressed by your pinball directory and what you say about Sexy Girl and Magic Picture Pin.
I am the inventor of this machines. Ranco- Switzerland and Arkon Germany were my companies. Pinball Vision was a
friend of mine in Boston. I worked in cooperation with Max Cavazza from Bell Coin Italy.
We ran into big trouble, when we presented Sexy Girl at the AMOA in Chicago. They had a special session about the nude
problem and decided, we have to put a newspaper on the front glass. We did this and first thing, all customers did who
came to our booth, was lifting that newspaper to look at the front glass :-)
That is why I decided to make a new front glass (Magic Picture Pin) and a new film casette with science fiction pictures.
You just had to change the front glass and the casette, to have Sexy Girl again.
The machines made money for years and years. The main problem was with the electronics. Being the first Bally
electronic pinball machines, there were still a lot of bugs.
With modern technology (DVD etc.) this concept would still be a big money maker. I still have two working machines, if
somebody is interested to copy the concept.
Best Regards
