The only wide body that I fully enjoyed playing (so far). Only got a few games in, so this review is yet to be finished.

I enjoy this game, but I always feel like something is missing, and that it could have been much better.

Ok so. Judge Dredd is an awesome machine. BUT the music is incredibly irritating and the lighting is almost non-existant. BUT (again) it's frickin hard and beautiful to play - solid as hell and untiltable. Proper. Love it. Anyone that doesn't is not from this deadworld.

I think of Judge Dredd like a easier Theatre of Magic. Instead of the trunk you have the left loop and the sniper tower. There are 3 multiball modes and the deadworld multiball is a challenge to progress through the dark judges.

The artwork and sounds are top notch, taken directly from the comic and with superb voice acting. This is pre-Stallone so no cheese here.

The background music during regular play is a little repetitive but only because it's not as catchy as some games.

This pin was blah at first, but I started to like it becuase it did have some cool game play. I am not a fan of the playfield art and lighting, honestly a symptom of the time in which it was made. This era of wide bodies is just not for me.

Dr. Flash... you have evolved quite a bit.

Pros:

- Captive balls were a good idea
- Rotating Deadworld ball lock; I felt this wasn't used too well but it's still a great toy if you buy the mod for it
- Awesome DMD animations. They flow quite well and certainly match up with the themes of the modes (if you haven't given the Judge a choking fatality or booed off the Bad Impersonator, you need to)
- Sound bytes are both epic and humorous (10 years for flatulism)
- Experienced players love this game due to how drainy it is and how fast some of the shots are - dat small loop
- Music is godly

Cons:

- The captive balls don't have much use unless you're in Meltdown mode; and even then you can hit the ? target to complete the mode instantly
- Playfield doesn't have much flow
- air raid feels like a bunch of clunky, wasted space
- Infamous Supergame mechanic; I like this but sometimes it's not too fun (that 100 million super shot is always a blast though)

Very fun game. Very fast, but way too hard. I just need to find this game again and play to the ultimate challenge.

This game is incredibly fun. The Elvis impersonator getting booed off the stage... the "20 years for loitering"... lots of funny sayings and lots of variety. This is in my personal collection and one I would never part with.

I much like the look and theming of the game. The gameplay is rather hard, not something you'd recommend to a newcomer to the game. There can be lots of drains out of your control if the slings have a go with the ball. I also tend to lose my multiballs particularly fast as the balls are mostly in the way of each other. Once you get accustomed the play it gets really fun though. I found the default lighting rather poor. It had lot's of dark corners where it was hard to see the ball, though one could argue that it fits the theme. I smacked it full of LED's through, that always improves my liking of a machine.

The theme is very well done, and suits the comic/movies. A lot of modes, some side-missions and the deadworld multiball is cool. There's a serious amount of shots and ramps, and even 3 layers of wire ramps over eachother at some point. Made me think of the typical highways in comics/movie.

Either you get it or you don't. I got rid of mine because i didn't like the maintainance issues and gremlins these tend to have. I should have kept it. Anyhow, it's a fun game for both advanced and beginning players. Unusual playfield layout. I love the way you can get the ball screaming on the small upper right loop. Game can be brutal when set up hard. Modes are varied and fun. This is one of the few games where all the modes are actually fun to play. Sorry about the erratic review. The game is great, probably the best game under 2500 out there.

Has some nice modes and shots but just not for me. Themed well, but I am not into the theme. I can see why people like it, but the layout is a bit off for me.

Judge dredd is a great game, with awesome re-playability and a deep ruleset. Flow is incredible, the ball just keeps moving without "colliding" and losing inertia too often. The wide body, and real-estate available on the playfield up until ramps and deadworld leaves plenty of room for the super game and multi balls. There are tons of shots, clever/funny dmd animations. With a little extra lighting this game really can pop visually.

really like this game, fantastic artwork and backglass, tons of things to shoot for, ramps, ramps, and more ramps! only complaint that i have is the music is a bit repetitive, but its good, so i guess its a wash.

Owned one, loved one, had a lot of fun. Lacked some features like pop bumpers and a spinner but I really liked this game.

Cool that it's a wide body but that's where it ends, just not that great of a pin.Artwork is true to the movie but yuck!

All kinds of space on the Widebody layout. Ramps, Ramps amd more Ramps. Plays much faster than expected. Bad shots get rewarded with the ball coming back at you SDTM.
Pretty simple rules with lots of shots. Supergame gets used rarely, but it is fun way to introduce newer players to the multiball experience, and every once in a while I'll play it just to change things up a bit.

Judge Dredd is an excellent, underrated pinball machine! Lot of flow, ramps, 4 flippers and crazy multiball mode. The music is AWESOME and will put you into a heavy metal mood. The game suffers a little without the deadworld mod, but that is an easy fix. I found the combos in this game to be very satisfying to play. This is a beautiful machine with a outstanding comic book style art work playfield and plastics. Do not over look, or under estimate this pin!!

I don't think I have ever had a game be more of a chore to play than this one. In a large collection with very occasional play, I could see its appeal. It does theme with the comic very well so it has that going.

I've played this game a few times, but I just can't get into it that much. Maybe the one I've played just isn't set up that well. I'll give it another chance one day, but for now I just can't get into it.

Update: Played several games practicing for a tournament. It's growing on me.
