Noteworthy features

  • Whiplash ball accelerator: Ball-catching mechanism which whips the ball around the playfield.
  • War Machine ball kicker: Fires the ball back to the flippers.
  • Iron Monger: Rises from underneath the playfield to do battle.

Trivia

  • The seven stand up targets and their inserts do not say IRON MAN on them, because the license states that the words IRON and MAN can never be separated.
  • IMVE was the first machine to be fitted with an upgraded trough opto connector that had previously caused Stern SAM games to be plagued with the inexplicable "ball end mid-ball" issue.
