Great looking game, cool toys, but slow playing and stuffy layout. Very poor quality sound effects & music that hurt the game a great deal, specifically the music quality (general MIDI sounding).

I don't see what the big deal is with this game other than the theme. Slap some generic theme on this one and nobody would care about it.

Great theme. Fun game and lots to do but for me I find the playfield a bit cluttered and hard to see everything.

I think there are few pins as good as this game. Awesome modes, sound ,animation and art....there is no weakspot here. It deserves its A list status

Best game ever made. A ton of modes, Path of Adventure, great ball lock, cool captive ball, multiball absolutely rocks and one of the most challenging and hard to reach wizard modes ever. Great sounds and animations as well as custom speech straight from the first three Indy movies.

The mode saucer is a flaky shot. Likewise the mini playfield never seems to work as intended. Great game with a few tweaks. I owned two and it just can't seem to continue to make the cut when something better comes along.

Indiana Jones is one of the best DMD games out there. It has top notch, sound, the best dot matrix animation ever in a Bally / Williams machine, and a very deep rule set. All 3 video modes are great, and a wizard mode that is challenging and fun. Very few other games are loaded with as much as this game has to offer.

My rating may be inaccurate, but I hate the fact you can't see half of the field and have no idea what the ball is doing behind the "shelf".

Challenging game that never gets old. It's not the fastest game although the rule set is solid and shots can be challenging and at time frustrating. A real keeper.

It was good but don't know what all the hype is about, better then the Stern version and the only IJ worth playing.

Indy is another strong Williams early 90s pin. Like many of the other early 90s pins it has plenty of modes and outstanding theming. From the first time you push the start button and the Indy music starts up the theme is tremendously well integrated. The real actor voice callouts with some specifically recorded for the machine just envelop you in the Indy theme. The artwork on both the playfield and backglass are just a continuation of the outstanding theme integration. I especially like the abiliity to simply shoot the swordsman in the marketplace. There are many, many modes all tied nicely into the theme to execute. These include a number of video modes such as the minecart and Ravenwood bar.

A good friend and neighbor has this machine and we worked together on the restoration. The problem area and continued annoyance is the mode saucer. So far we haven't been able to get the ball to reliably stick in the saucer and it bounces out multiple times during a game. Also, maintenance on this machine is not fun, as cleaning the rollovers, loop shots and left hand side of the pop bumper area is a case of bruised knuckles and contortionism.

The Lost Plastic on the back of the machine is a must to really complete the art package and the lighting in the back of the machine could be better. We modified the biplane to have a spinning propellor and added the mine cart and ark to the ramps. The ramps are tall on this and require a very precise shot to hit them reliably. Also, as mentioned, the Path to Adventure is more of an art than a science. We went to considerable effort to level it precisely and it still is a challenge and a half to make it all the way through.

Overall however, the machine makes good use of the wide body playfield and provides an intricate and immersive experience. If only the mode saucer would actually stick. Threading the ball up to the pop bumper area, making the ramps and loops are rewarding. It is a good machine, but has a few issues that keep it from being up there with the likes of TZ. Maybe a little high because I just purchased one finally but it's a great game! Been playing on location for awhile and it's a great game! Love the wide body, fun shots, moving upper PF, and all the multiball action! I wish the cab didn't fade so often on these but it has no effect on GP!

Fun game with cool ramp shot on the left side. I love the multiball that comes from the arc of the covenant toy.

Beautiful game with great sound bytes. Largest flaw that I see is that most of the play is on the lower half of the playfield, ball gets lost on upper playfield and shots are often a setup for SDTM. Wonderful collectors piece becaus of theme and artwork...just didn't appreciate gameplay

this game starts off fantastic before you even press the start button in the way that it just looks like a piece of art, add in the sounds of planes diving, guns shooting and punches being landed and that's all good stuff, a split playfield and the longest single loop ramp in pinball that doubles as your jackpot shot that you hear the gold falling around you when you hit it and now it's just plain fun. with lots of modes and things to do i'm glad to call myself an owner of this one

With a properly adjusted mode hole this game is really fun. Has a few paths to high scores so that keeps it entertaining in the long run. Cheating the right outline never gets old. "carefully!"
