This is an under-rated pin IMO. This one will NEVER leave my collection.

I had a blast playing recently on Fish Tales. The ramp in the middle of the playfield was somewhat of a visual distraction, but you can rack up serious points very quickly. I'm not a fan of pins that have buttons as shooters, rather than the original rods, but having it shaped similar to a reel/rod was kind of cool. Was a great game that my son enjoyed, as well.

Apart from the theme which is pretty unique, I never got why people like this game so much. It's alright but a game I will typically avoid.

Always played this game but like any pinball it's only fun if everything is working and working well. Played one at the Ohio show that was in really nice shape. Liked it so much I have one in my collection now. It will stay in the collection!

The boat is a cool feature, it is satisfying making that shot repeatedly and then nailing the monster fish shot. However, this is a two trick pony - the boat and multiball. That's it. I get the impression it is a great game for beginners, the boat shot is obvious and easy to make, they love it.

The game I played had dark green LED lights on the playfield. The area was very low lit thus making it hard to track the ball. I've played this game without the LED's and it was much more enjoyable. My biggest complaint with this game overall is the center shot to score is a drain hog. Love the ramp shots, just didn't like the LED's.

Good solid game that the whole family will enjoy. Not a ton of depth to the game, but it's all good. Love shooting the jet skiers. Play field is very colorful and I personally enjoy the Fish banging around on top, though I can understand where it's not for everyone.

Good solid game.

Edit: Fish Tales is the first pin that I sold, then found a much nicer table, and brought it back into the collection. Having a nicer table has made me appreciate Fish Tales a lot more. Fish Tales forces you to play just one more game. It can be maddening at times, but incredibly satisfying when you get that good game. Glad she's back.

I think I seriously have a thing for games that focus entirely on their ramps, because I can NOT stop playing this one once I see it. A lot of people give this game crap because of its heavy simplicity, but that's the reason I really like it, as well as how absolutely, blazingly fast and brutal it is. Try to find one without the "lightning flippers" if you can. Also, this game deserves an award for by far one of the most ridiculous video modes to ever grace pinball.

OOOOH YEh GOT WONE ON DERE EH?

I thought I would hate this pin because of the theme but if you play it for awhile you can get over it and even come to like it. It is a fun pin though not that deep, which I don't think necessarily is a bad thing. A pin should be fun first and everything else is second. The monster pin shot is a pretty fun shot because it needs to be setup and while you are scrambling to try to make the shot as fast as you can, the rocker in the machine is shaking. For how cheap the pin goes for, it is a pretty good bang for your buck bargain. It might get old after a certain point since it isn't that deep but it definitely worth playing if you see it someplace.

A fun risk reward pin that is satisfying to get going but incredibly punishing if you're not shooting well. It's good ole' fashioned pinball FUN - my kids love playing it as well :-)

Fish Tales starts off slow but surprises you as you play longer. There're lots of bonuses that popped up when I played that I'm not sure how I got. That said, the layout of the playfield is original and different. The theme is great and the game is fun!

Fish Tales is an absolute blast with features that reward both the beginner and experienced players. Despite the game's cartoony fishing theme, high scoring on this game demands accurate shooting, good ball control and nudging.

The play field is dominated by a classic Mark Ritchie crisscross boat-ramp that felt a bit too large at first, but after many games I feel its well integrated with the overall layout. The game has a good mix of shots with both easy (ramps) and difficult ones (extra ball!). Fish Tales rules are not as deep as current mode-based games, but all the major shots tend to progress to a mini-mode or jackpot style shot sequence that works great (school of fish leads to monster fish etc.). Although simple, the game has one of the most satisfying video modes ever where you have to torpedo jet-skis and speed boats.

The game's art package helps separate it from most games with bold colors and great characters (and a giant flopping Walleye topper). A great sound/music package really helps tie everything together and makes this game the total package. It feels like the team behind this game really enjoyed themselves based on the attention to detail apparent throughout the game.

My first Pin and looking oh so foward to making it a long lasting one. Just got it for an early Christmas present for my family and with a little TLC and upgrading can not wait. Time to Go Fishin :)

Althought my Fish Tales is due for a complete rehaul I'd have to admit that after owning a few pinballs since this one that it surpases every single one but No Good gofers. Williams just knew how to assemble great games back then.

This pin plays fast and the flow is pretty good. The playfield layout is fairly original with the crossing ramps running through the boat. The theme is integrated well and the video mode is one of the best. However, the rules are not real deep and the shots get redundant after a while. In addition, the music wears on me. Solid pin for a couple games but that is about it for me.
