Played several times at the Dutch Pinball Museum.

A pretty standard playfield layout with ramps laid out in a rough fan, and a cluster of pops, but more satisfying to shoot than a significant fraction of other pins from the period. The only shot that seemed worth going for on my play (and I went through the replay) was the multiball, although I don’t think I actually got it and scored well regardless.

The playfield on the one I played was poorly lit. Rules aren’t terribly complex and, sadly, I couldn’t hear the call-outs. Probably one for the gents who like boobs (the one I played had an, erm, custom backglass).

I’m sure for at the time it was a fun game but it’s now showing its age. Plays slow but is newbie friendly. Decent theme just not for me.

I didn't like this game when I first played it. My first play was on one in bad condition. Now it's one of my top machines but you really have to play one in good condition, with the correct rubber, without hacks that arcade operators did, and with enough volume. The awesome music and callouts the game has gives it a lot of charm. The high score I give it is really pivotal to a good condition machine and hearing it.

The shots are awesome but hitting them requires tuned flippers. Weak coils can really end the fun on this game too because those ramp shots won't catch it you can't get enough power. Nothing feels too difficult but doing well in this game means being going at repeating the ramp shots and following up with other shots or locks. Hitting the side targets and locks can be harder than it looks.

The artwork is awesome, it really draws you to it. Updating the displays with xpin really helps make the animations and callouts more vibrant.

The bad is that the lighting can be lacking. Putting the right lamps in can really help make the game easier to see. The audio can also get distorted with the factory speakers and old caps on the audio board. Good maintenance is a must for enjoying this game. Upgrading speakers and new caps help a ton with the audio enjoyment.

There are a lot of drain shots. This game sometimes feels built to drain. I think part of that is due to field warping and the game's age. Machines with a protector or new field play entirely different.

I really love this game. Naturally, Elvira is a great draw, and I think they did a great job with the artwork, especially the playfield. This is my first non-early 80s game, so although it only has alpha-numeric displays, that's still quite a step up from what I'm used to - and likewise the layered nature of the playfield - I know, welcome to the modern world, but this is my reference point - games like Centaur, Fathom, Black Knight, Black Hole, etc..

I do find the that lighting of the PF is spotty at best - the barbecue targets are completely unlit. Surprised there isn't anything to highlight the organ or Elvira in the party punch. Gotta look into correcting that. The voice audio on my machine seems a little low quality, even compared to the background music. But all that aside, it's Elvira, a fun game to play with just enough variation and things to do that a casual player and avid collector like me keeps coming back, game after game.

A friend has a very, very nice example of this game. It plays beautiful and it's just a super nice game. It has everything I want in a pinball machine. Maybe the sound effects and music can get a bit repetitive, but that's with all Sys11 games.

I had this game in my collection and while I moved on after some time, I thought it was a great game. The theme integration is awesome and rules are easy to follow. Making the lock and ramps feels rewarding with that classic bally feel. I would recommend if you already have similar themed games.

Such a great pinball game, EATPM kick-started a franchise of great machines.

The integration of lights, music, theme, animations (both mechanical and alpha display) are second to none.

10/10 Charm factor.

Some of my favourite features:
Kickout ramp over the center lane into the pops is amazing. "PAAAAAAARTY!!!!!"
boogie men mechanical animation jumping up and down with rubber arms flailing... "Let's boogie.... Thank you boys!"

The iconic massive Monster Slide that takes you from the left ramp, in behind the PF, all the way to the right flipper!.. going up, "OH YEAH!!!!".. not enough power..? "Ohhhh.. No."

"Lights" (machines goes dark).. "Organ".. a piece plays and strobes go off all over the place.. ... Elvira states: "oooo, nice Organ!"

... I could just go on and on here... in general tho, the variety of call-outs and things to do is great.

----------

room for improvement might be some rules tweak between the competition mode, and default. Perhaps balance some other shots, the game can be largely about making the ramps.

There's no spinner.. I like spinners.

Very good theme integration. The speech, sounds and music and light show stand out, especially for this era game. The rules and scoring are not as great, since left ramp over and over (with an occasional skull shot) is the best way to score big points. Still a fun and entertaining game, especially if you like the theme.

This was the game that got me back into pinball after a long hiatus away from the hobby. So admittedly I have a soft spot for this one. I find it a ball to play and not overly punishing.

Simply a feast for both the eyes and ears. Layout makes for some really satisfying shots not to mention all the ghoulish attractions. Basiscally a kids haunted house under glass. 10/10 all day long.

So I love the theme, artwork, and sounds. I like the ramps, layout, and toys. But I find the rules lacking.

There's just not much to do other than go for the multi-ball. And while it's a lot of fun to play in short bursts, I don't find myself pulled in and engaged to the point that I want to keep playing game after game. The gameplay/rules aren't addictive for me, the way some pins are.

Still a very pretty and enjoyable game with Nordman's signature fun ramps; just don't expect much from the rules.

Probably my fav sys 11 game as far as fun factor. I don't know why, I just enjoy playing this one more than the other games from this generation.

Love my Elvira. Not a deep game, but it is never boring. Great art, sounds, and just fun to shoot. Wife likes it too, because she doesn't need a PhD. to understand how to score big... and Elvira likes to score big!

I played Elvira at a laundromat back in college 96-00 and I put a lot of quarters in her and said one day and that day did came. Fun to play a lot to shoot at and when you get the multiball light organ uh nice organ that makes me laugh. It has some light show. The backglass and cabinet forget about it it's Elvira great to look at. My wife, mom, dad, brother, and our friends love to play her, she would be great in any collection glad she is in my.

Probably my favorite Elvira game of them all, mainly because of the 80's nostalgia, music, sounds, speech, and fun theme.

Another stand-out from my college days. It didn't really stand out in a long row of pinball machines, but that was fine with me. The machine was just fun, and there usually wasn't a line.
