A fun machine to play. Back in the day it was pretty cool. Great quotes, a nice looking machine and overall a decent package.

Cyclone is a great stylish game designed by Barry Oursler. I tend to like his designs for some reason I own a Gorgar and really want a Junkyard as well as a BSD. Anyhow the artwork by Anghelo , which is original ,reminds me of a Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers Comic or something by R Crumb and it is still a great family game. It doesn't take itself too seriously and even though there is no multiball it is a rewarding play. I love original concepts and I love theme parks....so this game probably won't be going anywhere for quite a while.

This one is awesome. Definitely my favorite of the trilogy. The shots are extremely satisfying, the music is awesome, and the art is classic Python. I'd really like to own this one someday.

As a die-hard EM fan and player, this is one of only a very few games with ramps and toys that I really love! I play at the Silverball Museum in Asbury Park, NJ, and this is the ONLY modern machine that can pull me away from my old Gottlieb EM's.

I thought it was just me who chuckled, every time they heard it but 'Hey you... with the face', is the BEST thing I've ever heard a pin say, and it NEVER gets old!I can just imagine some insult hurling clown sitting on a bench waiting to get dunked! HEY... You with the face... that would have been an AWESOME toy to have in this great theme!

And the thing I love MOST about it, is that you don't have to be some kind of geek, who spends their free time learning to speak Klingon, to have fun with it, and you don't need a 187 page manual explaining all the different modes and scoring.

When I finished rating this machine, I was shocked to find that I had rated it well ahead of all my favorites, so that's what you call a truly unbiased rating. And once you do get good at it, it does get pretty easy, but you don't mind that so much when you're pumping in quarters, like I did back in the day. One of the finest packages ever created!

The sequel to Comet keeps the Williams legacy going in a great direction. The amusment park theme is something everyone can relate to, and although the sequence of targets is a bit mor complicated than Comet, the gameplay does not suffer because of the increased complexity. The sound effects are great, and they add to the humor of the machine. RIDE THE FERRIS WHEEL!!!!

Step Right Up.... This machine ushered in a new age in Pinball. The first of the true "Talkers".. it actually goads you into playing it like a carnival hawker... Tons of different skill shots. More ramps than any other machine of this age. One drawback I can come up with is if you shoot straight up the middle, it's gonna come back STDM.... It even had animations of Ronald and Nancy on the backglass. This machine is like a time capsule from 1988..... Great Machine.

I want one. That's about it.

Tricky shots, including the sweaty plams once you hit the Comet a few times and are getting close to 1M.

The stupid shot off the Vampire House door that richets the ball between the flippers (or hopefully the pin).

The horns, honks, music, and sounds that raise your tension level while playing.

Trying to get the stupid stuff all relit once you blew your chance to get the top score.

Pretty much close to the perfect pinball, and one I'd love to add to my collection. Playfield art was the weakest part of the game (compared to Comet), but it had a fun ruleset, and the game was all about skill shots.

Great game, greatest of the roller trilogy of the era, in my opinion. Fun to rock the comet ramp for a million, cyclone ramp is great and the Ferris wheel shot is satisfying. Love the call out, great theme, and the music fits.

Cyclone is without a doubt, the best of the "coaster trilogy". The theme is fun, and "Hey you, with the face" is probably my all time favorite quote of any pinball machine ever built. Python Anghelo did some amazing artwork for the playfield, but the game flow is sorely lacking. Most pinheads will find this game too easy, but for the casual player, it's just right. My one major complaint with Cyclone would be the center ramp. It's usually rare to find a Cyclone with a ramp that's not beat to hell. However, this is one of the rare games that actually is fun without multiball or tons of insane shots.

At the time I had Cyclone, it was the only game in the house. As a result, I played it a TON. Found it intersting but did gradually tire of it. After several more titles, I found myself wanting another one. Family friendly and goofy enough to be fun. Not many difficult shots, and gameplay can get quite long once you are familiar with it. Overall I think it is a timeless game everyone can enjoy. Fortunately I found another and just bought it yesterday.... dialing it in today!

Update: No question. Favorite all-time. So glad to have it back.

Cyclone is a good system 11 pin its fun to play. Great call outs and a great game for new people as everything is there to see and the game tells you were to shoot. It can be a bit simple for experienced players and would have been better with multiball, however it was everywhere so has great nostalgia and screams the 80 s.

Definitely a classic machine. I was fond of this one back in the day and owned it for awhile. One of the best skill shots going. Very charming game. Fun to loop the comet ramp and combo the ramps and ferris wheel shot. Mystery Wheel is clever and fun. Unfortunately, it suffers from a fairly shallow rule set even for system 11s, and lack of multiball. Sadly, not a keeper for me.

One of my least favorite System 11 games, just not a game that I enjoy at all. Artwork does nothing for me, really dislike the laughing clown and several other sounds, and to top it all off, no multiball!!!

Cyclone is a great game and becoming rare. Especially the ramps.
Hitting the Cyclone ramp jackpot is tough. I've only hit it once and since then haven't come close.

The theme is great for everyone. Kids and non-pinball people seem to be drawn to it. The ferris wheel is always a hit.

The call outs on it are classic indeed.

WON'T YOU COME IN?

The best of the "amusement park series" (Comet, Cyclone, Hurricane), Cyclone is in my opinion the definitive system 11 game. Interesting, detailed playfield art with a drab gray background that is more than made up for by very colorful plastics, inserts and flashers. Great callouts. "Hey you, with the face!"

Fun to play a few games when you see one. Lastability ok. I like originality of the Farris Wheel toy how it picks the ball up. I don't care for design w/ the excessive back-and-forth on the elevated plastic ball return lanes. Don't care for the ball launch skill shot mechanism other than to say I like that it has some originality to it. I guess for me it is all around ok-to-good, but not awesome.

A great game if you can find it for a reasonable price. One of the few games from the 80's that i still enjoy playing. My favorite thing about this pin is the sounds and speech, it totally captures the themepark feel.

The best of the Williams theme park trilogy. The two ramps (rollercoasters - The Cyclone & The Comet [from the previous machine]), the spook house, and the ferris wheel are great targets and add a fun and challenging element to the game. The wheel on the backglass and the 80's artwork (the Reagan family) add a fun aspect to the machine, which can be enjoyed by players of all ages and skill. Would be close to a perfect machine if it had a multi-ball.
