Noteworthy features

  • Mini playfield, visible through a window in the middle playfield. In it is a ball and a plastic gorilla that can turn left or right, acting as a flipper.

Trivia

  • The last game to be produced at the old Williams production facility (California Avenue) which was home of the Williams Machines since 1967. After Congo, pinball production was moved to the new facility in north-east Illinois.
  • Congo has a 'Midnight Madness' mode. When the internal clock hits midnight, a special mode will be active.
  • Congo was also produced as a conversion kit. Operator would then only buy the playfield, game roms and decals and put them in one of their existing WPC cabinet. The artwork on these decals is black and white.

Backbox ornament(s)

It is unknown wether any backbox ornaments were available for this machine.
